Terrible. Terrible service. Terrible wait time. I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese. Took 15 MINUTES! I had to ASK if it was even being made after so long! Turns out it was sitting on the counter and no worker said anything when we had been standing there after watching several other customers (who came after us) receive their order before us. 15 minutes to toast a bagel and slap some cream cheese on it. Also, we watched one of the male workers rub another female worker's back with gloves on. He then proceeded to make a bagel with the SAME gloves! GROSS! Very unsanitary and unprofessional. We were visiting from Omaha, NE and heard this was one of the places we must try! We went on a Sunday morning around 10am. For as busy as the restaurant was (line was to the door), they moved us through the line quickly and I didn't feel rushed to scarf down my food once we got it. The bagels were fresh and soft. I intended to order food from the original bagel boy in Minnesota. The bagel boy on 26th St. is not affiliated although they use the exact same logo on their building and packaging. I was very disappointed to find out that I ordered $50 worth of food online just to find out I went to the wrong bagel shop and supported the 26th St. bagel shop Instead of the Minnesota shop. I honestly don't know how the bagel boy on 26th can get away with having the exact same logo advertisement as the Minnesota shop. If you ordered online using DoorDash and they delivered, you would have absolutely no idea that you supporting the 26th St. shop instead of Minnesota. I will make sure I pay more attention so that I support the bagel shop on Minnesota Avenue. I'm sure the 26th St. shop gets a lot of the business intended to go to Minnesota Avenue but there's nothing you can do once you paid for it. Quite disappointed. read more

Long wait times on entry, after order to payment, and delivery of product. Employees seem nice enough but completely forget/ignore customers are there/waiting and seem scared of the register (I had to remind them multiple times I had not paid yet). Long waits for food to the point of insane (Multiple occasions a single toasted bagel with creamcheese taking 30+ minutes to receive) Location is decent and quiet. We love to come here for smoking fish sandwich every time we are in Sioux Falls! We also take a different sandwich "to go" for later or next day just because the choices are many and so delicious. Bring from New York originally I know what a good bagel is and Bagel Boy has a decent one for Sioux Falls area. I wanted to stop in and get a dozen so I arrived early (before 8) waited in line behind 3 people. Almost 10 minutes later I placed an order for a dozen, not even cut, just put in a bag, it took another 5 min to get them put in the bag and then another 20 minutes standing in line to pay with cash in hand. After the 4th person walked past the register while I was waiting (did I mention with cash in hand?) I was about to just leave the bag on the counter and one person stopped to take the cash. Im glad she didn't ask for a tip, I would have suggested a new place to work. I suggested that this is my last dozen here and it will be. Although the product is good its not worth 45 min waiting in a line due to inefficient processes. I live 20 miles from there and it was faster to drive there and back than it was to get the order. Streamline the service and you will be surprised how much better your employees are and many more happy customers. Came here for breakfast and was super happy I did! I chose the Sausage Breakfast Boy, which had sausage, egg, and cheese. I went with the sun dried tomato bagel and goodness was it good! The outside had a slight crisp, with a soft inside. I also had the hazelnut coffee, which smelled and tasted amazing. I highly recommend trying this place out if you want quick service with quality! The bagel itself had so much salt on the outside that was about all you could taste except the nasty @$$ Pink Cream cheese that was so artificially flavored that even Barbie would consider fake. Just Nasty. I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel toasted with butter. AGAIN a cinnamon raisin bagel. It had zero taste. I mean even the butter that they slopped on it had no taste. After 2 bites my mouth and mind freaked out trying to understand why there was no flavor. The customer service is as tasteless as the bagels. Best coffee and bagels around! My family and I have been going to Bagel Boy every Saturday for about two years now. The workers know us by name and never fail to greet us when we visit. Their bagels are extremely delicious and the workers always put a good amount of cream cheese on each bagel. Their lattes are strong and their chai (one of my favorites) is very good.
