They didn't have a locker big enough for my suitcase, so I got pointed to a luggage storage place around the corner. It's run by the same guys who provide the Smarte Carts at the airport. I was able to quickly drop off my bag, get a receipt and go. For an extra fee, they even delivered my bag to the airport for me! Sweet! When I went to retrieve my bag, it all worked out- they had it in one piece. They were cheaper than the luggage place at Southern Cross, but the drawback is that they close early. Don't show up on time, and you gotta wait for the next day. However, the desk at the airport is open late! If you're getting it delivered- no worries, mate! The location was a bit hard to find, tucked back in the far side of a two story red brick building, where you have to go through a courtyard full of bicycle art to get there.

They've got a desk set up by the arrival area of the international terminal. Right outside of their desk is the new beer terminal, where you can get flights of beer. The process was fast and convenient. I showed up here, gave them my name and receipt. The lady behind the counter had to do a bit of searching for it, but upon describing the bag, they found it. It looked like it'd been kept dry and secure. This operation is run by Smarte Carte, which is pretty sweet, since you can get the carts for free in the terminal! Yasss. The desk at the airport is open late, much later than the office at the Southern Cross Station.

That someone is STA Travel on Brunswick Street. When I finally had the moolah and the confidence to plan my first big trip I headed straight in to my local STA where I was greeted by the lovely Jake. He asked where I wanted to go, what I wanted to do and how much money I could spend. I gave him the answers and he said; "leave it with me." When I returned the next day he had planned out the most EPIC 6 week trip you have ever seen, and also gave me options for places to stay. He booked the most affordable flights, suggested great tours to go on and even gave me his own personal insight in to the various areas I was traveling to. He continued to email me every now and then with ideas up until the day I left. Wow. I really could not have asked for more. Very, very impressed.
