Peter is a champion. Had some large print done for our daughters birthday party. Recent pleasant guy to deal with and he was very helpful. Nice to be able to speak with the person who actually does the work as well. Very good service. read more

Impact Digital
(4 reviews)
My oh my, was this fast and easy!…read more After seeing the awesome Yelp reviews for Impact Digital I sent through an email asking for a quote for the printing of 400 lanyards. Within in half an hour I'd been given an affordable quote, had approved a printing proof and had sent them off to be printed. Speedy! I picked them up the next day to save the delivery fee (which was already small) and was truly impressed by the quality. Definitely recommend Impact Digital for all those printing odd jobs - posters, lanyards, business cards - all that stuff that always ends up taking longer than it should.
What a bloody efficient service this is. Jump online, enter your details, upload your artwork, pay…read morethe cash monies and wait... patience... patience... Hey presto! Your business cards, postcards or other papery paraphernalia will be delivered quick smart. For me, I had my postcards in less than 36 hours from ordering! Amazeballs. High quality printing, recycled card and they even use solar power so you can feel a little less bad about cutting down trees when you need to get a bunch of collateral printed. Hooray for balancing that greenhouse karma!
Print Express

Any one who has had to get last minute printing done knows how much of a bitch the process is. Its…read moreusually the final hurdle in a project and can be rather frustrating. Thankfully the guys at Print Express are pro's and rather helpful. I had to get some tricky double sided A3 colour printing done for school and the staff were super accommodating, making sure the images aligned and were correctly sized. Located right around the corner from the Swinburne design campus means theres usually a line of students waiting to get assignments printed so expect a 15-20 minute wait unless you arrive early in the day. Pricing is average for printing, I think an A3 colour print was around $3 and that included the paper. There is also self service computers for simple document printing.

The couple who run it are awesome and so knowledgeable about art. They have a really good mix of established and emerging artists too. Definitely worth a visit!

PhotoQ

I have a rule for myself to always have photos of important events - big birthdays, anniversaries…read moreand all overseas trips - and not just uploaded and tagged on facebook, I want mine printed out. This rule came as I was looking through my parents photo albums from when they were my age and I decided I wanted the same for my kids one day! Photo Q is my photo-printing destination, but they can do so much more including having your best shot put on a: * Canvas * Mug * Hat * DVD They also sell a wide variety of frames, including those fancy digital ones! But Photo Q also do the boring stuff too like Visa and Passport photos (don't we all look pretty in them?) image recovery and photo restoration and they always do it with a smile on their face and in a speedy time.
We had several video (VCR) copies made to DVD and the service and product we received was so poor…read morethat I am strongly recommending that people consider using this service. After almost 4 weeks being transferred (and not returning calls) when i finally received and checked the DVD copies made the video quality was so poor and in blue colour throughout. We were told this is typical and would not offer any refund or any explanation other than it's our fault. As such we were given a sub-standard product, without any issue of refund, or explanation other than it was our fault providing a low quality VCR tape. The whole process was dealt with so rudely that we will not be returning. This was quite concerning given that these tapes were old family videos that we were having transferred for a family birthday present. As such we went to another competitors store and had the VCR tapes checked, new DVD copies made and found that the copies were in fact perfect. Trust me, shop around and I would be very reluctant to use such a service from PhotoQ in the future
Prism Imaging
Things I know about: + Beer…read more+ Cats + Thai Food Things I don't know about: + Printing + Photography + Art And for that reason I went to Prism Imaging when in need of a printer for a little exhibition we recently held (you may have heard about it, it was all about food porn). I walked in without a clue in mind of what I wanted or how much it was going to cost. Thankfully Gary (owner/manager/all around great guy) guided me through our best options. As he had great experience with gallery exhibitions before, he knew exactly what we were after (and it turns out mounting our images onto 5mm foam core is exactly what we were after.) Rather than printing, then mounting, then framing all of our top 40 images - which would have been extraordinarily costly and time-consuming - this ingenious alternative of printing on to foam was perfection. The images were so light they could stick straight on to the wall with only blu-tack holding them up. I was able to upload the images on to their server from the comfort of my couch rather than having to drop by with a giant USB stick and the printing turn-around was snappy to say the least. If you are a budding artist/photographer or just have an awesome snap that you'd love printed, Prism Imaging is really the only place you should go. They will get the best out of your images for an affordable cost and at absolute maximum quality.

Dinkums Print & Design

Dinkums is great, and by great I mean great until you really need something done…read more As a printer and binder found in the city, they offer a range of printing and binding solutions. They also have scanners for all your imaging needs, as well as computers for you to work on if needed. There's also a wicked guillotine for cutting, and bad one found beside it and a number of photocopiers. All of this sounds marvelous doesn't it? The prices are good and the people are really nice about their work. Ok, bad thing? It's busy. And I don't mean like a little busy. It's insane. I suppose everyone leaves their copying and such to the last minute like myself, and so we like-minded fools find ourselves queuing haphazardly around the couch area in the centre, playing with scrap paper and trying not to lose our minds as we count the seconds to our due dates. You can kind of call ahead and book, but that will only make it quicker once you are actually being served. There hours of operation are good, opening at 10am on weekends and 8am on weekdays, which could be the best time to go.
Look, the quality is pretty good. Prices reasonable…read more But the 'customer service' is an absolute joke. It's busy, but staff wanders around without a sense of urgency or any acknowledgement of their customers. If options weren't limited, there would be no reason to come here. There doesn't seem to be dedicated counter staff, so catch one if you can! Expect to spend at least an hour here even if there are only a couple people in front of you and you have a small job.
