I hired Badger Curbing to install landscape curbing in my front yard June 2022. In September, I hired them to also install curbing in my backyard. We were gone on vacation during the second pour so we did not see the disaster until we arrived home. Phillip, the owner, had come out to our property to see how bad the curbing looked. He did not notify me of the problems that I discovered on our return. After I got back and saw the condition of the curbing, I immediately contacted Michelle and sent her photos asking, "What happened to my curbing?!!!!!" Phillip and Michelle, the owners - they said that they would remove the curbing and install it again. I asked them what they were going to do different on the next pour that would have a quality result. Michelle guaranteed me that they investigated and found out what they are doing wrong and would correct it on the next pour. I asked to speak to Phillip to be assured they figured out what they did wrong and would correct it. Badger Curbing tore out the first curbing and installed all new curbing in November 2022. Initially, it looked fine, however, when I started working in the garden this spring, I noticed how horrible the curbing looked. The second install is more egregious than the first! The concrete is horribly blotchy and the top layer is flaking off. It look rough and corroded. Again, I notified Phillip and Michelle immediately and sent them. photos. At this point I am asking them to remove it and give me a refund. I have over 1,000 lineal feet of curbing and spent over $10k for it. It looks hideous. Phillip is now pushing back and seems to want a third try at this. Every time it is done, I lose 3 more days of business because we host an Airbnb on our property. Phillip admits it looks horrible and even admits he has no idea why it happened. Today, Phillip sent out a buddy of his who he represented as a concrete expert, who couldn't identify why it is failing because he wasn't here to see how the workers poured the curbing. He just kept repeating that it is part of the curing process. Ironically, if this is normal and part of the curing process, everyone's curbing should look like this, yet, Phillip clam is there isn't another customer out there whose curbing looks like mine. I've contacted 2 other curbing companies who looked at our curbing from Badger and they said the job is "egregious" and that the curbing is very poor quality. read more

Started out great with good comms, decent pricing and quick work. After our sloped hill and parking area were graded and had rock added we had to have them come back out to make it so our gate would close (they leveled and raised the road not taking it into account) and to try and fix a soft spot and rain run off issues. They came out quickly and dug out a spot for the gate (not the best fix but it works) and added more rock, but the grading has just never been right. Lots of runoff going down the sloped driveway and into my front yard. A lot sits right by the driveway. Again, they came out to try and fix after the whole driveway washed away which was great, but it didn't fix the issue. Tried reaching out to get bigger rock in and a proper grade but have been ignored. Had a day and time set up for them to come out and they missed it, which sucked especially since I took work off to wait for them to show up. I was in a bind and Badger called me back straightaway and got the job done in a couple of days for a great price. I needed three large basalts installed in a cemetery and Badger not only had a machine large enough, but installed the three rocks quickly neatly and with epoxy etc. Just lovely work, and very communicative and open. 100% would use Badger for every last thing I could. read more

On July 23, 2024 I paid Badger Excavation $10,972.15 to begin a septic installation which he promised would be done before the permit expired on August 27, 2024. Once the money was paid I didn't hear from him until I started calling and texting him. The only replies I received were text promises to call. Calls never came. The work was never done and now the permit has expired. That alone will cost me thousands of dollars. I tried to renew the permit on August 23, 2024 but didn't know it requires the designer to renew it and it was too late. I have still not heard from him and he hasn't responded to the Better Business Bureau's inquiry either. Don't give this man money if you can't afford to lose it, and maybe your permit also. read more

I have had Badger trucks deliver several loads of material, from fill dirt to gravel. Their prices are much less than the gravel company's. And they can usually bring the material in a day or two. I also had them level and pack an area to be used for horse turn out and they did a great job. It is always easy to get in touch with them and their office staff are very friendly and helpful. read more

I am thrilled! I needed gravel delivered, Michelle set it up and they arrived the next day. Driver was courteous and professional and did a great job dropping the material as close as he could to where I needed it even though it was a tight squeeze. I had hired someone to run my sewer line- they flaked. I called Badger, spoke to Phil. The next day he had his tech out to assess my job. The crew that arrived was EXCELLENT! Very professional and personable, did a great job! They were very clear about the scope of work, showed up on time. They were respectful of my property. I feel that I got a great value for my hard-earned money and I guarantee they will be my first call for my next project! I wonder if they are hiring? The nice man from Badger came to my home. I told him what I thought I needed. The cost would have been about 10k. After talking he showed me that I didn't need near as much work. He thought I could get by with much less to dry out my shop. The work would be about 2.5k. Great, let's do it I said! Well, they send me a doc u sign contract. It list all the items for the 10k of work. And in the "balance owed" line it says "to be determined ". I made several calls to get a corrected contract, and and explanation of what exactly they did plan to do, and the cost of that. Several calls and finally the estimator, the owner, tells me "just sign it and send it back, we'll figure it out later ". Lol....that won't work. So I say forget it and I leave them a one star review on Google. ​ Then I get a call after they see that....their sorry. They really want to do it right, make it up to me...ok great. Now the other nice man tells me, "I'll call you back in two weeks. We'll meet, and we'll get this done!". More that three weeks later.....yep....no call. I've heard they do good work. This is what happens when you pay Badger excavation before the job is finished. The job doesn't get done. My project was started in October 2020. We are now March 2022 and the job has not been completed ( not to mention it was done incorrectly). What's more Phillip and Co. refuse to even answer phone calls and messages -already have their money. Don't be fooled by friendly talk, veteran owned and references such as "my friend".
