LOVE LOWES! My husband has been shopping here for years, he…read moreprobably should own stock in the company by now. I always assumed it was all hardware, paint, grass seed, and lumbar. Boy was I wrong! That store is awesome, sure it has all the "man" stuff and don't get me wrong it definitely has the "man feel" but there is so much there! I shop there a lot...they have appliances, outdoor furniture (and a great selection of plants, trees, and shubbery for landscaping...even beautiful rose bushes and hanging baskets at great prices!) Lowe's carries Valspar paint, which in my opinion is the best paint. The coverage is amazing and our entire house is painted in Valspar and we've never been disappointed (big plus). Lowe's also has it's own brand of tools, Kobalt, which are actually really nice. I have bought all kinds of things here, even pillows, rugs, curtains (and I am very picky in my interior decorating). People come over and ask where I got my things and they are shocked at how much of it actually came from Lowe's!

The person who I talked to provided ample information about the type of computer equipment that I need to purchase. As most Best Buy stores, including the one closest to my home, are for the most part self-service, this store was a nice surprise (never been there) I am seriously thinking about making my purchases there. The person that I talked to was Mike. Note: this store is in either Bradley or Bourbonnais and is not in Kankakee; it is in the Kankakee area.

The owner was present and could not have been warmer. She showed me a few collections of garment fabrics she had including linens, flannels, and some assorted clearance fabrics. I was disappointed with my experience with Home Furniture and Plumbing in Kankakee. I was charged…read more$483.21 to replace an old corroded bathtub drain with a new push-style stopper drain, along with the small section of pipe underneath it. The plumber accessed the crawlspace to do the work, and the entire job took about an hour. I felt $483.21 was fairly expensive for the work performed, so I had called afterward and requested an itemized invoice so I could see how the $483.21 was broken down. We were told they do not provide itemized invoices and the request was refused. I understand plumbing work can be expensive and that you're paying for a professional's experience, not simply the amount of time spent at the house. However, when paying nearly $500 for a repair like this, I think asking for an itemized invoice is completely reasonable. The price itself was disappointing since the quote was half of that I was told it would be between 200-250, but the refusal to provide a breakdown of the charges is ultimately what left me dissatisfied with the experience.
