Stop and eat here! The bbq, tea, and the service are great! We had the brisket plate and the pulled pork sandwich (Lil' Hawg), with baked beans and cole slaw. The beans had pork mixed in and the Shaw was not too tangy - they were just right. read more

Walked in about 7:15 pm. I knew it was about 45 mins before close, so l asked if a party of 2 had time to eat. I was told yes and to sit on a particular side of the restaurant... no problem at all. The gal came out of the kitchen and told me they were out of bbq... claims they sold out with the previous order. Not a problem for me, but my husband wanted bbq, so we head out. The gal then opens the door claiming they "found" some bbq. Get the heck out with that crap. If you didn't want to serve us, I gave you an out when we first walked in. She had plenty of time to show her friends her new air buds but left another table that had their to-go box loaded and ready to leave waiting for their check. read more

100% the best BBQ in Northwest Tennessee. I have been eating here as far back as my memory goes and I have never found a place as friendly and welcoming as this. The BBQ is amazing, their fries are perfect, and their tea is amazingly sweet. It is an old school, locally owned paradise for an afternoon snack. Servers have always been very keen to get my orders right no matter how odd my orders are, and they always make a point of being friendly. Great memories of this place, and I miss it when I'm not in town! read more

Delicious food and friendly staff no long wait. I eat a bbq salad from there almost daily! Jesse makes the best salad in town. Everything is fresh, neat and quality bbq. Love the salad dressing and they give you enough. Definitely worth a visit and worth every dollar! Great job read more

I have driven past here many times when working this county but never stopped. I recently stopped for take-away with a friend. When we stepping inside it smelled so good! The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food came back to us quickly. It wasn't loud/noisy in there, and it appeared to be clean. The food was hot and tasty! I will go back for more brisket one day soon, and next time I plan to sit inside to eat. read more

Place was dead at 6pm. Food was okay at best. I make better ribs at home. The potato skin appetizer was the best part of the meal.

The pork was great, but it took a while to be served, we were given Styrofoam container with one fork, but it was busy and she had a line of people waiting for take out. The pork was great, but the beans were very sweet, the coleslaw looked) keep it was cooked or pickled in sugar water, very scary! There main barbecue sauce was ok (Not great) but made with Raspberry & Tamarin, very liquidy. There were lots of cutesy signs and looked fun. The hot BBQ sauce had High Fructose corn syrup (not going there). We got the BBQ plate with two 6 oz sides and only cost $9.87 before drink. read more

Bad Bob's BBQ - This is a great description of great barbecue - Barbeque Near Me - Dyersburg, Tennessee

Friendly but terribly short staffed. Clean and nice looking dining area. Unremarkable BBQ. Beans were canned pork-n-beans. Bread served with dinner plate: a plain white hamburger bun. Reasonable pricing (which is good and makes the difference between "passable" and "insulting.") If this was the only BBQ joint in town - it'd scratch the itch.... unfortunately ...... it isn't. read more

bad bob was a bathroom break all night ribs didn't fall off the bone but mine did my wife trotting was worse the beans were delivered in the commode we seen underage workers in the kitchen we should of ran but we did later with the blow out read more

The pulled pork was so tender and delicious. The French fries were COLD!! I also had baked beans which were good if you like sweet baked beans. The interior was nice and clean. We ordered our meals to go and they had it ready very fast. read more

Always get their delicious, bbque nachos. Got home with my order (live a mile away), opened my order, not the nachos I always get. Old chips, with great pork, but covered in an orange, rubbery substance. Cheese maybe? Always had a creamy, nacho cheese before. Whole thing was ruined. So disappointed. Do better, people. read more

We visited here for the first time yesterday, we called in our order and the lady on the phone was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the Big Hawg and the BBQ cheese fries. The food was ready very quickly and I think it was some of the best pork bbq that I've ever eaten. The sandwiches were huge with just the right amount of sauce, meat and coleslaw. We will probably try the buffet the next time we go. read more

Very good food recommended by the locals. Quick service, moderate serving size. Food was very good especially the spicy corn on the cob. Definitely worth the trip. read more

The food is just okay. If you don't get squeamish by dirty restaurants you'll be fine. The ceiling above the buffet is disgusting. The tables aren't very clean. Just overall blah. Food is decent. Ribs do fall off the bone and are very tender but just couldn't get past the ambiance and uncleanliness. read more

Best BBQ around. Fall off the bone ribs. Good country vibe on the inside, just missing peanut hulls on the floor, lol. Great friendly staff, attentive and polite. All around Great place to eat !!! read more

Barbecue is a big deal. Everyone has their favorite place to get their fill and everyone has their own tips to share. Being from the South, I have high standards. Living in the North, I rarely come across barbeque that comes close to my standards. The worst I have faced thus far was at the Indiana State Fair. Horrible. Bad Bob's has some of the best barbecue in the region, with awards to prove it. Don't be scared of the place based off the location; despite being oddly located in the middle of a run down shopping center, the inside has been renovated and is very comfortable. I love to visit when I'm back home. Although their sauce can be a bit sweeter than I prefer, I love to buy a bottle or two to bring home with me to show off. The meat is absolutely amazing and I wish I could bring it back with me as well. To pretend like I'm being "healthy" with my food selection, I often get the stuffed baked potato. It makes me very happy, especially since I think barbecue sauce is just as amazing with potatoes as it is with pulled pork. So far my desire to be healthy hasn't led to trying the barbecue salad--I'm not that desperate. The other food options are great as well and I suggest you try the place out. read more

The worst BBQ ever!!!! Just plain nasty! I've had better at a gas station! Buddy's BBQ potato wasn't done, cheese not even melting. Bologna was cold and bread was old. read more

I refuse to EVER eat here again. The food is ok. It's nothing to write home about, but it's edible. I often get fatty BBQ and there is not much else on the menu that I like. The onion straws (like onion loaf/strings/rings) are good, but 1/2 the time the people act like they've never heard of them even though they're on the menu. The service over all is horrible!!! I ordered 2 BBQ sandwiches w/ slaw and a kids meal chicken tenders w/ fries in the drive thru. We paid and "pulled forward" while they made the chicken tenders. It took them an HOUR to bring our food out to us and it was COLD when we got it! Our sandwiches were cold and soggy and even the chicken tenders that we were waiting on were cold and the fries cold and soggy! This was the second time we've gotten cold and soggy sandwiches and there is no excuse for it! EDIT: Even a year later I would still rate this place less than 1. The last time I went there I ordered potato salad, beans, and buns (all food they have pre-made) to take to a cook out. I was asked to wait when I went to order and it took several minutes for my order to be taken and then had to wait again several minutes to get my food. All together about 15 minutes in the drive thru for them to put food into containers and hand it out the window. There was no one in line in front of me. No hello, please, or thank you's either. If you like Bad Bob's food, but want good customer service and your food to be fresh, made right, and not fatty than go to the Bad Bob's in Newbern! read more

We went today (03-25-21), My food was cold, chicken tender plate. My father's ribs were cold. We had to reheat everything. One of us got nachos, and there was literally FOUR piece of meat (Philly cheese steak meat, they ran out of brisket) on their nachos. Also on the nachos, they forgot tomatoes and sour cream. Overall very disappointed with their service. read more

This is by far the worst BBQ I've ever had. I went shortly after they opened so you would think the buffet would have warm food.... Nope. All the food was cold. The sauce was tasteless. The Mac and cheese was the worst I've ever had. Tasted like watery cheese whiz. The label of BBQ sauce has a picture of a pig shitting in a bucket which probably isn't too far off. And last but not least the brownies suck. read more

Had the BBQ buffet last weekend while in town. It was delicious! I can see why BadBob's has won so many BBQ competitions! I love the country/quaint décor, and the staff immediately greeted us upon entry. Very friendly, and I love the southern vibe! Highly recommend the pulled pork, BBQ bologna, and I swear I've never tasted potato salad that great in my life!! I've also had the BBQ nachos before, and that's a MUST HAVE food item from Badbob's. I have the Special Sauce and Cock-a-doodle rub at home. Rub goes good on salads, chips, and even tilapia! Good eats, folks! read more

Seriously, the customer service is awful! My family loves BBQ so we keep giving this place chance after chance. But each time we spend our money here, we regret it. We have finally had enough! Just in the last month we have visited twice. The first time we decided to take the family out. When we walked in, despite not being busy at all (on a Friday evening) not one person greeted us. We sat ourselves down and waited over 10 minutes just for someone to get our drink order! Then proceeded to wait over 30 minutes for someone to take our food order! Finally, my husband had to walk to the back to ask one of the three women working if they could please take our order. While we were ordering I was told I could not order a side I picked with my meal, nor could I substitute it. Despite it being listed as an available side. The waitress seem confused as what was on the menu and couldn't answer basic questions such as "Which sides are available with this meal?" After spending 45 minutes waiting just to have our order taken, we decided to leave. We canceled our order (by again having to walk to the back because they never came back out) and paid for our drinks (10$ for just soda). They didn't even offer to let us have our drinks for free, despite telling the cashier why we were leaving. We figured that maybe only the Dine In was awful so tonight we ordered a simple BBQ plate Take-Out. The amount of food they gave us was pathetic. They didn't even feel up the styrofoam tray it came in. It was also luck-warm at best. When my husband complained, they refused to fix the problem and instead opened the cash register and tried to take the food back. The "fuck you" attitude given by the employees despite us being perfectly polite both times is the #1 reason we will NEVER be back. (Also, I don't care to watch a tv show about rape and incest while I'm waiting to eat. I know many people triggered by that sort of thing and it's in bad taste to play it in a restaurant. Maybe be a little more careful with what you have playing on your TV.) I'm only giving this two stars because the food is ok. read more

Must have been a "bad" day. Brisket was horrid. Tasted like it was fried up in a skillet . Ribs were cooked in oven. NOOOO smoke ring. Bbq my ass! Best part were the beans right out of the can. Sad. Not all that clean either. Better bbq at Denny's I bet. read more

As far as BBQ joints go around the area...this place will do. Food is good (not great). Ribs taste like they are cooked in an oven. Pulled pork is not bad. The highlight is their "house sauce". The buffet is only at lunch and a fair price for what they offer. The service is seriously lacking. They are worth checking out if you're in a BBQ mood and happen to be passing by. Don't make a special trip, though. read more

Had some good Bologna here. Nice hot sauce for the BBQ too. The desserts were awesome.

Good (not great) Memphis-style BBQ, lunch buffet, comfortable, casual setting. Lots of regulars eating here (a good sign), small town feel, friendly service. read more

Food is normally good but service is lacking. Ordered stuffed potato today at the drive thru. No barbque sauce added even after they ask if I wanted hot or mild. No butter and sour cream. No fork or napkin. To top it off I waited 30 minutes in my car for them to bring my order to me, I kid you not. I will be giving the competition a try, you should at least make a minimal effort to take care of the customer. read more

Great service to the point of being bothersome. The waitress checked up on me 5 times. Could be because there was very diners during dinner. Bbq was only ok. Definitely not nearly the best I have had elsewhere. read more
