Walked in about 7:15 pm. I knew it was about 45 mins before close, so l asked if a party of 2 had time to eat. I was told yes and to sit on a particular side of the restaurant... no problem at all. The gal came out of the kitchen and told me they were out of bbq... claims they sold out with the previous order. Not a problem for me, but my husband wanted bbq, so we head out. 100% the best BBQ in Northwest Tennessee. I have been eating here as far back as my memory goes and I have never found a place as friendly and welcoming as this. The BBQ is amazing, their fries are perfect, and their tea is amazingly sweet. It is an old school, locally owned paradise for an afternoon snack. I have driven past here many times when working this county but never stopped. I recently stopped for take-away with a friend. When we stepping inside it smelled so good! The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food came back to us quickly. It wasn't loud/noisy in there, and it appeared to be clean. The food was hot and tasty! We visited here for the first time yesterday, we called in our order and the lady on the phone was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the Big Hawg and the BBQ cheese fries. Barbecue is a big deal. Everyone has their favorite place to get their fill and everyone has their own tips to share. Being from the South, I have high standards. Living in the North, I rarely come across barbeque that comes close to my standards. The worst I have faced thus far was at the Indiana State Fair. Horrible. Bad Bob's has some of the best barbecue in the region, with awards to prove it. Don't be scared of the place based off the location; despite being oddly located in the middle of a run down shopping center, the inside has been renovated and is very comfortable. I love to visit when I'm back home. Although their sauce can be a bit sweeter than I prefer, I love to buy a bottle or two to bring home with me to show off. The meat is absolutely amazing and I wish I could bring it back with me as well. To pretend like I'm being "healthy" with my food selection, I often get the stuffed baked potato. It makes me very happy, especially since I think barbecue sauce is just as amazing with potatoes as it is with pulled pork. So far my desire to be healthy hasn't led to trying the barbecue salad--I'm not that desperate. The other food options are great as well and I suggest you try the place out. read more

I refuse to EVER eat here again. The food is ok. It's nothing to write home about, but it's edible. I often get fatty BBQ and there is not much else on the menu that I like. The onion straws (like onion loaf/strings/rings) are good, but 1/2 the time the people act like they've never heard of them even though they're on the menu. The service over all is horrible!!! I ordered 2 BBQ sandwiches w/ slaw and a kids meal chicken tenders w/ fries in the drive thru. We paid and "pulled forward" while they made the chicken tenders. It took them an HOUR to bring our food out to us and it was COLD when we got it! Our sandwiches were cold and soggy and even the chicken tenders that we were waiting on were cold and the fries cold and soggy! This was the second time we've gotten cold and soggy sandwiches and there is no excuse for it! EDIT: Even a year later I would still rate this place less than 1. The last time I went there I ordered potato salad, beans, and buns (all food they have pre-made) to take to a cook out. I was asked to wait when I went to order and it took several minutes for my order to be taken and then had to wait again several minutes to get my food. All together about 15 minutes in the drive thru for them to put food into containers and hand it out the window. There was no one in line in front of me. No hello, please, or thank you's either. Had the BBQ buffet last weekend while in town. It was delicious! I can see why BadBob's has won so many BBQ competitions! I love the country/quaint décor, and the staff immediately greeted us upon entry. Very friendly, and I love the southern vibe! Highly recommend the pulled pork, BBQ bologna, and I swear I've never tasted potato salad that great in my life!! I've also had the BBQ nachos before, and that's a MUST HAVE food item from Badbob's. Seriously, the customer service is awful! My family loves BBQ so we keep giving this place chance after chance. But each time we spend our money here, we regret it. We have finally had enough! Just in the last month we have visited twice. The first time we decided to take the family out. When we walked in, despite not being busy at all (on a Friday evening) not one person greeted us. We sat ourselves down and waited over 10 minutes just for someone to get our drink order! Then proceeded to wait over 30 minutes for someone to take our food order! Finally, my husband had to walk to the back to ask one of the three women working if they could please take our order. While we were ordering I was told I could not order a side I picked with my meal, nor could I substitute it. Despite it being listed as an available side. The waitress seem confused as what was on the menu and couldn't answer basic questions such as "Which sides are available with this meal?" After spending 45 minutes waiting just to have our order taken, we decided to leave. We canceled our order (by again having to walk to the back because they never came back out) and paid for our drinks (10$ for just soda). They didn't even offer to let us have our drinks for free, despite telling the cashier why we were leaving. We figured that maybe only the Dine In was awful so tonight we ordered a simple BBQ plate Take-Out. The amount of food they gave us was pathetic. They didn't even feel up the styrofoam tray it came in. It was also luck-warm at best. When my husband complained, they refused to fix the problem and instead opened the cash register and tried to take the food back. The "fuck you" attitude given by the employees despite us being perfectly polite both times is the #1 reason we will NEVER be back. (Also, I don't care to watch a tv show about rape and incest while I'm waiting to eat. I know many people triggered by that sort of thing and it's in bad taste to play it in a restaurant. Maybe be a little more careful with what you have playing on your TV.) I'm only giving this two stars because the food is ok. read more
