What a great little treasure just North of Dyersburg, TN. A friend recommended Lock's Store/Macye's Grill, so my husband and I made the 45 minute trip tonight. Check them out on Facebook. There are instructions for text ahead seating, which I strongly recommend. We did text ahead and were seated as soon as we walked inside. Our waitress, Sandy, was wonderful!!! The other employees were all super nice and they all made sure we were taken care of. Let me apologize now for my lack of pictures with this review. I did get some of their pics from FB to show the inside of the restaurant. We got so busy talking to our waitress and looking at the fun decor inside the restaurant and I failed to take food pics. We ordered the fried mushrooms as an appetizer and they were good (crispy on the outside and really juicy on the inside). My husband ordered the fried fish and he commented that it was some of the best fried fish he'd ever eaten. The seasoned batter was on point and the fish was not greasy at all. I got the hamburger steak with a loaded baked potato and it was delicious. Neither of us could finish our meals, so we came home with a to go box that my 16 year old son devoured when we got home...lol The back of the menu has the history of the restaurant and I enjoyed reading about it and looking at pictures of the original building that were hanging on the walls in the front waiting area. Remember to text ahead. Text your name and how many are in your party. They'll text you back the wait time and ask if you want to be added to the list. Remember it's not a reservation. Text ahead option is only available during hours in which we are open. Text number 1-731-445-2387 Thursday 3-9 Fri and Sat 11-10 5997 Millsfield Hwy Dyersburg, Tn To go order number 731-285-5335 Put this place on your list of Must Visit Restaurants and I assure you, you won't be disappointed!

Our food was hot and delicious. Service was ok. We had to go find some to get bbq sauce. But that being said all other tables had condiments on table. I wonder if ours didn't due to the fact table wobble so bad. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

The bar menu looked interesting but we didn't order any adult beverages this time. The service was friendly and since most of the tables were full, I think the speed at which our food came out was acceptable. However, my food wasn't hot but my husband's food was piping hot. I took a star off because their 2 pc catfish meal is really only one filet cut in half. So if you're hungry, or if you're expecting full filets, you may want to consider the 4 pc meal. The prices are very reasonable. I didn't get any names of those who waited on us but the older gentlemen exchanged a few dad jokes with my husband which was fun. The restaurant and the women's restroom were clean. I would recommend this place and will certainly check them out again the next time we're in the area.

    McAdoo's - The Rib-eye Dinner

Local Bar with Massive Rib-eyes…read more Mcadoo's is an experience, and one you should explore if you are in the Blytheville area. I have, over the years, wanted to go and check the place out, but a combination of not being able to find it and not having enough time has always kept me from a visit. During my last visit to Blytheville, a business colleague and I decided to check this infamous establishment out and have a business dinner, beers, and rib-eyes. Mcadoo's is located in central Blytheville, across from the fire station, and it is in a simple metal shack, which can make it hard to find. There are no signs on the building, just the name written on the entrance door. Inside, you find a fully functioning bar with pool tables and plenty of tables to sit at. Mcadoo's has an old-school vibe as the inside is lit up by old-school red lights. Like bars of old, you can smoke inside; keep this in mind if you are a non-smoker or have allergies to smoke. Mcadoo's has a fully stocked bar, but it's mostly known for its rib-eye steaks. Our server came to our table and informed us that they had no apps and that our only options were rib-eye with salad, baked potato, and toast, or rib-eye with toast, as nothing else was available on the menu. The rib-eyes took about twenty minutes to arrive, and they were massive and cooked to perfection. The salad and the baked potato were fresh and okay, but the focus was on the steak. The steaks were juicy and tender, and they were also very affordable. The allure of Mcadoo's is the experience, the full bar and the affordable rib-eyes. It is also a favourite place for locals to hang out. Overall, a good experience and a great rib-eye dinner.

Miss Barbara is a most delightful hostess and owner. Looking for local color? This is the place. The entrance does not face the road so you will have to look for the building that looks like a body shop, but the spacious interior has a big bar and plenty of seating with several pool tables. Clearly this is a neighborhood hangout.

On this day of the week (Wednesday), the restaurant featured their fried chicken. A local resident had strongly and repeatedly recommended Mae's food. My friend and I both ordered the fried chicken. I'm sure glad that I did! It was perfectly breaded, seasoned, and cooked. We were given our choice of cut, and we both chose chicken breasts. It was nicely-sized and fresh. I would definitely recommend it, and I would order it again. For side items, the collard greens, sweet potatoes, and blackeye(d) peas were all delicious and properly prepared. I ate every last bit, especially since the portion sizes were a bit too small. I would suppose that tiny portions dramatically reduce food waste. The square of cornbread was quite welcomed. I had also heard that Mae's cooks up some delicious pork chops (on Thursdays) and meatloaf (some Fridays). I look forward to trying those as well. The building doesn't have central air conditioning, but rather a series of window units. During the height of summer, it can get uncomfortably hot inside the restaurant, so they do a lot of take out business. If you want to eat inside, be sure to pick a cool/cloudy day. Also, the parking situation is a bit chaotic, with no designated spaces marked out. It's kind of a free-for-all. The safest bet is to backup into an open spot, just for better visibility when you leave. I made the mistake of parking head-in. It took me forever to back out. The street that runs in front of the restaurant is full of fast and careless drivers. Be sure to take some cash with you, because this place doesn't accept any credit or debit cards.

The staff were friendly as usual and our server was really good and the place is clean as usual! The salmon patties were really good, I'd order them again. The food, overall, seems to be not well mixed with salt. My husband's chicken and dumplings had an inedible layer of just pure salt. He mixed everything up and it was better but the shock of a mouthful of salt lingered for the rest of the meal. The fried potatoes pass around had the same issue. This is still very much so a tourist destination and a once in a blue moon trip for us when we find ourselves in the area. The allure of the "throwed rolls" and pass arounds is enough to keep this place an option for us, especially since we're learning what not to order.
