There isn't really much on that side of town, but google pointed me in the direction of The Haven Bakehouse. Wow! Such a beautiful, cool, modern, spacious shop! The barista there was so friendly. I guess they are known for their cookies, but at that moment, I really needed protein with a bit of caffeine. I ordered a breakfast type sandwich that had turkey bacon, some banana bread and a matcha latte that was just magnificent. I didn't have time to eat there as I wanted to beat traffic, but I would highly recommend it. My sandwich was good and satisfying and the banana bread was a wonderful consistency and not too sweet, just how I wanted it. I definitely need to stop by for their reputed cookies!

I am not a cookie lover but my favorite one was the peanut butter and chocolate one because the salt from the peanut butter offsets the sweetness of the cookie. But my favorite item was definitely the banana bread, it was perfect!! I will definitely go back for that and perhaps a latte. If you have a sweet tooth, this place will definitely hit the spot. The staff are always cool too. They have half dozen, dozen or a bucket. Even a donut sundae. There's a drink menu with a variety of hot drinks, iced drinks, blended drinks and smoothies. We went ahead and ordered some dole whip and then, slowly watched like 5+ groups that were behind us get their ice cream before us. We brought this to our attention. At first they said "sorry we only have one guy doing it. This made no sense as the people behind us got dole whip. Then a few seconds later they admitted no one was doing it. A few mins later and and a few more successful pickups later the manager came out to ask what was going on. I explained yet again (mind you the firework show was well underway). He promptly went to the back and made our dole whip. He then explained there was a mixup with orders and who knows what. Dee's Donuts to the Rescue…read more We purchased 12 DOZEN donuts for Teacher Appreciation Week last week for our entire middle school teachers, staff, and admin team. I called a week in advance and was able to place the order easily for a mixed assortment. I came in that next weekend to pay and then we picked them up on Thursday morning at 625 am. The staff were fast, friendly and efficient in packaging the assortment of donuts and even gave us 2 bags of freebies for our order. Highly recommend DD for their delicious donuts. Support local!!
