I've been to many massage therapists with mixed results, but I finally found Lisa! She knows what…read moreshe's doing, and is fluent in English so communication is not a problem. She uses a good amount of pressure, but more importantly, she has the experience and anatomical intelligence to realign muscles. I take yoga classes almost every day and there are still some places in my body that are just stuck - back of neck, shoulders, hip flexors. She was able to get those areas to feel an openness that I've never felt. IT WAS AMAZING! and the next time I returned to my mat, I was able to get more awareness and deeper than ever before.

I have been seeing Lisa for 2.5 years for a monthly massage. To put it simply, she is amazing at…read morewhat she does. I count the days until every appointment and hate leaving when they're over! Lisa is one of those rare massage therapists who knows exactly how to find (and fix) all of your aches -- even the ones you didn't know you had -- with the perfect amount of pressure. It sounds like a basic requirement for massage, right? But not many massage therapists, even (and sometimes especially) the ones at high-end spas can do it. With Lisa, I rarely have to say anything -- she just knows where to go and doesn't rush or miss an inch. I'm pretty sure she has X-ray vision or something. :) And the reason I'm able to see Lisa on a monthly basis is because her rates are SO affordable ($60/hour). Like, ridiculously below market. Seriously, stop wasting your money on Groupons for random places you'll never go to again. She also recently bought out the previous owner and has made some major improvements to the business. Does it look like a Newbury Street spa? No, but it's clean, peaceful and comfortable. And best of all, Lisa is so sweet and makes you feel like you're her only client.

Sometimes when you redeem a Groupon you discover a terrific business or service you otherwise would…read morenot have tried. But OMG I wish I let this one expire and never redeemed. Came in for a stress reducing Swedish massage but instead therapist kept insisting "you tight" and commenced walking on my back so hard the wind was kicked out of my lungs. After waving her off from the back torture and saying "please stop and use your hands on my back" she relented. Longest hour of my life waiting for the Swedish technique which never came about. I've had many many professional massages over the years but this one ranked as one of the worst of all time.

I was looking for a good massage. It seems every time I find a descent masseuse they move to…read moreanother location. Anyway I decided to give this place a try. I called at 9:55 am just before it opened to make an appointment. The girl on the phone said to come right over. I meet Amy inside. She was very polite and was there alone. She had to call someone to come in so she could do my massage. I had to wait about ten minutes before she came in. She apologized for making me wait. I really didn't mind as it was my day off. Amy is quite simply the best masseuse that I have had in a long time. She worked out all the knot's in my neck and back. I will definitely be back to see Amy for all of my massage's. I've been back to see Amy about six times now. She is awesome. If you're looking for a really good massage, go see Amy!

I had the masseuse, Arlyn. I would recommend him to everyone, including my friends. Allen is…read moreattentive to your needs and really puts in effort in the 30 minutes or an hour that you pay for. Price is $70/hr, and he will ask for what your needs/goals are. Allen noted that I had a lot of tightness and massaged them out for me. He went in HARD, the pressure was insane. Not painful, but it definitely helped me with me knots. Afterwards I felt really refreshed. I would come back again, fosho

I can't speak for my fiance but he walked out feeling the benefits of the sports massage. (IMO: My fiance lifts weight 4x/wk so he definitely needed someone with strength working on him!) My prenatal massage may not have been the routine prenatal massage you'd get at any posh place that would smell like lavender and offer you a foot soak with rose pedals before you come in. I am a hygienist that has been working a desk job and 16 weeks pregnant. So walking in I told them I am uncomfortable in certain places and reported that I clench my teeth and do get numb in my right shoulder. I asked ARLYN for an areas-specific message and he addressed it and is super effective at finding and relieving knots. I read in other reviews (Yelp and groupon) not to come here expecting a typical "massage." Which they were spot on. But that's ok. If you are like me and experience aches and tightness in places no other massages were able to get out.... come here to get fixed!
