He described how he started in 1952 and gave a few personal anecdotes. As an amateur historian myself, with the bachelor's degree in history, having him as a prime resource is profoundly honorable and gives the museum, the integrity it deserves. A fascinating history in the buildings and the projects that came out of the space coast. Highly recommend, and if you can meet Bob, he will enlighten your imagination. Calling Amanda Pogach for piano lessons was one of my best recent decisions. As a middle-aged man…read morewith no prior musical training and uncertain talent, I was hesitant. I wanted to be able to play fun tunes on the keyboard for friends at parties and in particular I wanted to be able to play a jazzy version of Happy Birthday for my wife's upcoming birthday. I took the plunge and am glad I did. After a year and half of lessons, I can read music and play at least two dozen short, popular tunes, some of them beyond beginner level. More important, I am now able to pick up music that interests me and easily get started on learning to play it... and, these days, when I listen to music, I can relate to it in a more insightful way than I ever have before. Lessons with Amanda are well-structured, rigorous and fun. We initially spent several sessions on reading music and on foundational topics like rhythm, pitch, intervals, scales and chords. I was a bit impatient at the time, but I understand now how Amanda brought it all together to give me a solid base from which to learn more advanced topics and tunes. Amanda is good with technology. After our first several sessions in her studio, our lessons have mostly been by Skype. Whether she is away on holiday or at her studio, and whether I am at home or traveling to other cities on projects, a portable keyboard, inexpensive webcam, laptop and internet connectivity are enough for lessons to take place seamlessly. I have found learning this way to be very effective. I can see and hear Amanda. She can hear me play, and in particular, can see my fingers on the keyboard. When I need to see her keyboard fingering technique, she simply points her camera to her hands. Amanda's musical education and her practical experience as a professional soprano make her a qualified (and fun) teacher. I am happy with my lessons and am glad to be learning from her. I recommend Amanda Pogach wholeheartedly, I wish you good luck as you begin your own musical journey.

One and a half years ago I called Amanda with no musical experience (other than some singing in the…read moreshower) and a desire to learn more about my own voice. When I met with Amanda, she was very open and made me feel at ease about my relative lack of singing knowledge. We started working on the very basics of singing and have been progressing to increasingly difficult skills over time. She has been quite lovely about helping me to grow at my own pace--encouraging me when I needed it and pushing me when she saw that I could go further. Along the way, I decided that I would try my hand at auditioning for bands in the tri state area. After 3 months of lessons, I auditioned and booked my first job as a singer! Since that time, I've continued to grow in my ability to sing freely with greater range, improved tone, and an increasing amount of confidence. Vocal lessons with Amanda are both fun and focused. Because I was a beginner, my first several sessions began with learning about posture, breath support, and some simple vocal exercises. Since that time, the vocal exercises have gotten progressively more challenging and are focused on the areas of my singing that could use strengthening or expanding. Although we work quite hard, we also laugh quite a bit which makes it easy to keep coming back! I've really enjoyed the structure of each individual lesson as well. Lessons start with vocal exercises/instruction and then move to singing any song that you choose. It's a wonderful way to get a vocal foundation while also getting to practice the things that you are learning with songs that you love! Lessons with Amanda are also quite accessible. I've been able to get appointment times that allow me to accommodate the other parts of my life, and I've also been able to do lessons via Skype. As I intermittently travel for work, this has been especially helpful! If you're looking for voice lessons from a caring, competent teacher who can help you grow by leaps and bounds, then I would definitely recommend contacting Amanda. You won't regret it! :-)

They had a nice stage set up and bands playing all weekend. We had a nice time browsing and enjoying the music. I made a purchase from a wood working guy at the event. It was a hand made slicer that will cut through anything. It is great for slicing tomato, French bread, meats and cheeses. That was a good score for $20.00

I visited Titusville Mall Cinema this past weekend to see Lego Movie 2. I missed the movie numerous…read moretimes, mainly because I was the only other adult who wanted to take the kids. So while going to Beall's with the kids, I smelled popcorn and decided to see if the theater was finally open and it was AND they had Lego Movie 2 starting in 10 mins. The staff was very friendly. All tickets are $5. My son was young enough to get in free. All theaters have different ages so I stopped asking after he turned 2. They have movie posters for $2. The popcorn was good. I got the kids combo and their candy was airheads. I didn't get a good look at their concessions menu since my visit was impromptu and I was trying hurry. Check out their Facebook for specials and updates. They take customer feedback seriously, so be respectful and patient. I think because they are being transparent about how things work with getting films, customers tend to be understanding. They also said they are remodeling, so that may also give them a chance to have more theaters available for another film in the future. I look forward to what the owners have planned for this theater. I have been to theaters like this in another state and it stayed busy even with a brand new theater across the street. I hope they keep the building clean, the service top notch, and stay in this great community.
