Sometimes miracles do happen! I had a creeping and steadily worsening pain in my right hip, over a couple of years, that wouldn't heal and that I didn't know what to do about. I began to think of it is "I guess I'm just getting older and this is what happens." Knowing that I'd had some success with chiropractors for back issues and that they also do more general structural alignment work, I booked a session at Back to Basics Chiropactors in Keaau. I saw Dr. Nolan, a fairly new chiropractor who had assisted the founder, Dr. Benjamin, in my first session with them 8 months ago. After a fairly comprehensive verbal checkup with his assistant Dr. Nolan came in and threw me around for 20 minutes, massaged my hips and glutes, and had me do a bunch of diagnostics. Even at the end of the session it seemed like my pain and sensitivity had diminished quite a bit. And that day walking around it felt way better. Now, 9 days later, I went for my first run since the session and I feel like I'm 98% healed. Remarkable! Highly recommend these guys if you have alignment/core issues. Definitely made me feel better physically and mentally realizing that some things that we may accept as natural aging issues don't have to be permanent. read more

Update: Another year of excellent care on every level. Making appointments is easy (via text! Swift real human responses!) Bodywork has lasting impact: having successfully remodeled tissue and restored function/alleviated pain with shockwave therapy, I'm still at it, just moving on to the more chronic less debilitating niggles. Shockwave cleared up my plantar, improved my hamstring reattachment site, REMOVED post surgery neck pain I've had for years... now treating a shoulder injury I've had for 25+ years. Hopeful! Adjustments keep me moving, gardening, hauling rocks... I mess myself up, Doc Ben and his awesome staff take care of me. (Thanks Jay, Katrina, Britany!) The care is top notch. This place is still doing Mask Mandates. smh!!! chiropractic work was good. But are still implementing the mask requirement which is illegal. Insurance is who pays these type of companies. So, a complaint will be filed with my insurance company against them. The receptionist refused service at the door. This should be a choice read more

If your insurance is Medicare or Medicare Advantage, they will not accept you as a patient even if you offer to pay for services yourself. If you don't have any insurance so are paying cash, or if you have an insurance other than Medicare, THEN they'll provide health services. In other words, if you're over 65 and on Medicare you can forget about getting help from these people. There's no way I could recommend any company that has such a discriminatory policy. read more

If you've had a lot of experience searching for a great Chiropractor this is your guy. No fancy tests, no X-rays, nothing to sell you. You go in, he figures out what's up and corrects it. Then he gives you ways to help yourself at home. In and out feeling better. He also has unlimited corny Dad jokes and a really nice staff! Highly recommend especially for active people. read more

I visited this Chiropractor a while back, but just decided to make a review now. Staff is friendly and personable. The Doctor really tries to connect with you and he has a sense of humor. He is a friendly chiropractor that seems to really care for your health and offers sound advice on what you can do to relieve your pains. I am unsure why they rate so high. The worst. From the receptionist to the wanna be medical assistant to the unprofessional Dr. Just bad.

My girlfriend and I have seen several chiropractors, and Benjamin is by far THE BEST one we've been to! My girlfriend has an old shoulder injury, and finally after 24 years and one adjustment session with Benjamin, she started getting feeling back in numb areas!
