This was my second time coming here and my sons first time getting a hair cut here. Located right of 427 (Ronald Raven) this barbershop is located in a historic building across from historic downtown Longwood. The place Is small and seems to be popular, when we walked in all 4 barbers where busy cutting someone's hair, we proceeded to wait about 15-20 minutes with no hurry it went by fast. The gentleman that cut my son's hair were professional and pretty fast and did a good job. Price wise I think for a barber shop they are kind of expensive but nowadays everything is expensive, i know rent can be expensive specially in a historic building in Longwood. Making an appointment might be a good idea if you don't want to wait. I notice quit a few people walked in before my sons hair cut and after. read more

I was a walk-in a few years back, and have been booking appointments with Elson ever since. Some of the best fades I've ever had have been from his hands. I was on the fence about growing a beard a couple years ago and Elson talked me down from cutting it all off during the growth phase. He helped shape it up to look manageable and gave me the confidence to keep growing it. He'll take good care of you. I recognize a few of the barbers from other shops I went to in Lake Mary for a decade. Though they've never cut my hair, I know they've been in the game for a while and take pride in their work. This is great place, friendly atmosphere and not intimidating. These barbers are typically engaged with the customer and not talking on their phones the entire time. A couple are bilingual in case you need to communicate in Spanish. I wish them the best, and if you want the best haircut, Back to Basics in downtown Longwood should be your next stop. read more

Made an appointment for 11 online. I showed up a few mins early and was the only person waiting. About 15 mins later another customer came in and one of the barbers seated her in the chair. At 1130 I was still waiting and decided to leave. Cannot comment on the quality of the haircut but the management needs some improvement. read more

First, I'd like to say to the people who booked online that I don't think they even have a website. But I just walked in one day a couple years ago, asked to get a cut by whoever was next available, and was sat down. Got a great haircut by Alaina and have continued to go back since. Well first off I have to say, what an amazing atmosphere to be in. From the old-school barber tools hanging on the wall, to the vintage barber chair at the front window, I fell in love with this barbershop. A gentleman by the name of Elson, offered his services to me and showed me great hospitality. I asked for a trim and a lineup and I received one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten. He offered me a hot towel shave, I was a bit skeptical at first but because of his kindness I decided to go with it. I enjoyed the razor shave and hot towel treatment. The price was affordable and the hospitality was amazing. I definitely will be returning there soon. read more

I'm bald and I have a beard and I've found that most people can't shave with an old fashion blade, but Elson really took his time and was very meticulous. Best beard trim I've had in years. I went to the same barbershop clear on the other side of town for probably 20 years. My uncle owned it. Then he retired. Well I guess it's about time to find a new place and it might as well be close to home. I'd passed this place multiple times on my way to work and decided to stop in one day. Best. Decision. Ever. It was our first visit and I am impressed. I went with my husband and 2 year old son. First, my son sat in my husband's lap and Terrence asked what kind of cut (my son has curly hair), there were no issues, my son did not fuss and Terrence did a great job. When it came to working with my husband, he asked what he was was looking for and proceeded to cut. He used both clippers and scissors as desired. He was really worried about a beard trim- most barbers can really screw that up. He thinned it out, trimmed it up, evened it out and was very accurate with the lines. He also made sure his eyebrows were just as neat as his beard. We will be back. He is looking forward to a hot towel shave. I have been a regular customer of this shop for a few years now. I have always received top-notch service and the atmosphere I find consistently joyful yet professional. I wouldn't consider myself a "review writer", whether an experience was good or bad. However, I felt the need to write this review concerning the new lady they recently hired. In my few visits since her hire, I can't help but notice how fast, efficient and cordial she is, along with providing really great haircuts to everyone in her chair.
