I am participating in the Rhode Island Food Fights 9th Annual Ice Cream Event and this was my seventh stop.
We came by to cool down after the Narragansett Indian Tribe's 351 Annual Pow Wow a couple minutes up the road. This shop is a cute lavender house, so, hard to miss. There is parking on either side of the building which makes it easier to come in from whichever direction. We ordered one scoop of smores in a cup with a sugar cone on top, and a scoop of cannoli smores in a cup with a sugar cone on top.
They have a cornhole set up, so while we waited for our order to come out and after eating, we played some rounds. They also have about 3-4 tables with umbrellas to peacefully eat your ice cream.
The smores had a graham cracker base and it indeed tasted a lot like graham cracker but without the dry and crumbly texture. It also had lot of chocolate chunks and some soft marshmallow swirls. The cannoli tasted a lot like the filling of a cannoli, so a less sweet frosting with chunks of the cannoli roll. We liked both. The menu was extensive with lots of creative and appealing flavors. read more
