Great location just off the main street through Kiama village - perpendicular to the ocean and…read morecloser to the blowhole than the rest of the strip. You can see the shore from the sidewalk seating and window tables inside. Food was better than expected. Standard breakfast and sandwich café menu, although fairly limited. I really enjoyed my mango chicken salad and their homemade aioli dressing was sweet and went perfectly with the cashews and red onions mixed in. Coffee was also quite good. My partner's BLT looked a bit boring but was stacked with heaps of bacon, so good value there. Good food, great atmosphere, cute decorations, friendly service, and a scenic setting - what more can you ask for from a small ocean town café?

Great food and great location. From the outside this doesn't look very special, but if you walk…read morethrough, you'll see the outside courtyard. It is a beautiful place to sit, and as I said that the food is good. I ordered the veggie platter for breakfast, and it was great... it honestly didn't sound special, but everything on was fantastic. The beans are amazing - homemade and delicious. And the cherry on top of the veggie cake was the banana bread, fantastic! The only downfall was the coffee. Average. Drinkable, but not good. Usually I can't walk away from a place until have a couple of cups, but after one cup I was done - which means something. But ignoring the coffee, come for the food. So I was going to give this place 3 stars because of the coffee, but the staff are so friendly and so helpful that I have to give this place 4 stars.

As you step through the iconic circular doorway, you would be transported back to the set of Monkey! He knew every magic trick under the sun, to tease the gods and everyone and have some fun! As you sit down, they'll bring out the plastic plate for your entree, you know the ones, bought at the reject shop for a cool $2, with the red chinese mosaic motif. You'll give each other a smile and a nod as a fork and spoon are set beside you, acknowledging your non-chinesey-ness. Then you'll peruse the menu. All your old favourites are there: - The mixed entree (spring rolls, fish cakes, satay chicken skewers, prawn cutlets) - Sweet and sour pork - Mongolian lamb - Kung pao chicken - Fried rice (standard or special) - And the so-bad-its-good fried icecream When it comes out you'll grin like a kid as you see the mongolian piled high with onions and that standard fried rice, peppered with the odd bacon bit and slightly yellow tinged rice from the frying oil. All in all this place does what it's selling pretty well. Westernised chinese dishes, that are the same as what you had in the 80s-90s as a kid before the proliferation of Thai food. My friends had a couple of words for it back then. Chinese (pronounced chin-aye-zee) and Tommy (after the smartest asian kid at our school). Both are apt here :)
