Have been twice now, just for coffee cake and then breakfast. Pascal the chef is a character and is very honest and a welcome addition to the Kookabar. Coffee is very solid and made will. Also had a mocca and an iced coffee, all recommended. The big breakfast for $24 to share was extremely generous. Poached eggs were perfectly done, not runny not solid, just slow moving liquid yolk. Only criticism is the bacon was a little crispy for my taste, I would have liked to h as have been asked how I would like them done. Would come back any time. Great cosy atmosphere. Very well frequented by regulars. read more

My wife and I dropped in once a couple of years and had a slice of their Gruyère Tart. That was it, we were converted. We have become regulars as there is nothing Pasquale can't do beautifully. Great coffee, Great food. Definitely worth trying. read more

Love this restaurant for light lunch or coffee. I had chicken, avocado melt. It came with a lovely salad and was very fresh and tasted great. Very good value. I would recommend it and will be going back very soon. read more

I was slightly envious that i had not ordered it myself. I had, instead, ordered the crumbed lambs brains, and they were very nice indeed. Probably a little too much crumb for my liking, but delicious, with a good amount of herbs in the crumb. We could not manage a main, so went straight to dessert. Mal had their Eaton Mess, which was lovely. I had Tarte Tatin, which was very sweet, and frankly, one would do two people. The pastry was flaky and light, the pears soft. Had they been open on Sunday Nights, we would have returned.
