Back Bay Salon is a powerhouse of talent! I called with a very last minute request for bridal hair and makeup. I was so fortunate to be connected with Marissa for hair and Bethany Ann for make up. Marissa was wonderful to work with, she was very quick to understand my ideas for a bridal hairstyle and was great on communicating different approaches to achieve the look. On top of it all, the updo looked amazing and stayed in place all day! Even more importantly, it was not a complete battle to comb out at the end if the night, thank you!!! Bethany Ann was amazing, she was so accommodating to my early appointment request and quick to respond with thoughts and suggestions for my bridal makeup ideas. On the day of the appointment she used her arsenal of makeup and beautiful talent to tailor my makeup inspiration images into reality. The foundation and color palette was a perfect match and compliment to my skin tones and the makeup stayed in place all day and night! This is a great salon and is definitely not closed! I went there today to get a massage which was absolutely wonderful. Megan, the massage therapist, was lovely and worked out lots of knots in a gentle non-painful way. I felt so relaxed! She has a lot of nice touches as well such as an eye pillow and wiping your feet with a warm towel at the end. Clients were getting their nails painted and hair done as I walked through as well. Words can't describe how heartbroken I am. I had long hair and it was going to be traumatizing to make a dramatic change. I had phoned ahead to make sure who would be the best suited stylist to cut my hair into a stacked bob. The owner assured me it would be Melissa who had 10 years experience and I was safe. Upon cutting my hair and thinking she had completed the task; I had to keep telling her it was not right. She kept chopping at the back and taking stabs at it. I just wanted to get the hell out of there because it was apparent she did not know how to really cut a stacked bob. Once I got home the left side was longer than the right. The back was all chopped up and everyone at work has been criticizing how horrible the cut is. I have to go somewhere to have it fixed it is so terrible. I don't know how the owner could recommend someone to do a specialty cut and assure they were the best when the stylist only comes in once a week on a Saturday. You should be ashamed of yourself !!!! I don't know how anyone could ever trust your judgement. Needless to say I nor anyone I know would ever use your salon. Next time think and be a bit more cognizant before opening up your mouth. Have some pride in what is being done and do not blindly recommend stylist just to fill a seat. Just Pathetic ! read more

I reached out to Connie about a mishap with my color from another salon. Not only did she take the time to go over possible ways to fix my hair, she went above and beyond by taking time out of her weekend while she was on vacation to fix it! The staff is friendly and extremely welcoming. read more
