By nature, I'm quick to criticize and slow to praise. With that being said, I have been not only…read moresatisfied, but at times amazed with my experience at Jannon's Tattoo Studio. My initial visit was to inquire about the possibility of having some 30+ year old tattoos refreshed or covered. Other shops I'd conversed with seemed to abhor doing cover work and most tried to kindly push me away. Not Jannon. He looked over the work to be covered and confidently stated that he could it. He seemed genuinely excited about the challenge and the end result of that initial tattoo was something that shouldn't be on my chest, but framed and hanging on a wall in a museum. Jannon's patience, understanding of his craft and willingness to take the time to discuss options turns the process into a collaborative effort. He went above and beyond to get the job done, ordering different ink when my body rejected the first round of white highlights. Jannon realizes that the customer has to wear that tattoo for the rest of their life, and settles for nothing less than perfection in his craft. His dedication to his art is a rare find in today's society. The shop and equipment were clean and Jannon was obsessive about hygiene before, throughout and after the process. I've been through six sessions with him to this point and have yet to experience more than the expected skin irritation from the work. The bottom line: You can find someone to drive ink into your skin anywhere. I was informed that he could do Sunday at noon. That was fine with me and I said "I'll see you Sunday". I didn't think anything about it since where I'm from, tattoo artists work on Sundays. So, Sunday finally came and I went back to this establishment. I arrived early and sat in my vehicle until noon at which time I went to the front door to go inside. Shockingly, I find the establishment closed. Now, I start questioning myself as to whether I heard the correct day. I checked the ole internet and find they are closed on Sundays. Well, I said, I bet it was Monday and I just heard Sunday. So, Monday comes around and I return to this establishment. I proceed to the front door to go inside. Shockingly, I find the door locked. I knock on the door and nothing. My brother checks their Facebook page and Wow they are closed on Mondays as well. Now, I am getting older but there is NO WAY I misunderstood the appointment for Tuesday. I've only been burned once by a no show tattoo place. This, sadly, is the second time. I would give this place no stars, but I'll have to settle for 1. I don't care who you are or how good your work is. If you're a business owner, adhere to your appointments. You had my phone number to call if you weren't able to make it. I tried yours numerous times with no answer and no ability to leave a VM. Steer clear of this place, especially their appointment process.
