By nature, I'm quick to criticize and slow to praise. With that being said, I have been not only…read moresatisfied, but at times amazed with my experience at Jannon's Tattoo Studio. My initial visit was to inquire about the possibility of having some 30+ year old tattoos refreshed or covered. Other shops I'd conversed with seemed to abhor doing cover work and most tried to kindly push me away. Not Jannon. He looked over the work to be covered and confidently stated that he could it. He seemed genuinely excited about the challenge and the end result of that initial tattoo was something that shouldn't be on my chest, but framed and hanging on a wall in a museum. Jannon's patience, understanding of his craft and willingness to take the time to discuss options turns the process into a collaborative effort. He went above and beyond to get the job done, ordering different ink when my body rejected the first round of white highlights. Jannon realizes that the customer has to wear that tattoo for the rest of their life, and settles for nothing less than perfection in his craft. His dedication to his art is a rare find in today's society. The shop and equipment were clean and Jannon was obsessive about hygiene before, throughout and after the process. I've been through six sessions with him to this point and have yet to experience more than the expected skin irritation from the work. The bottom line: You can find someone to drive ink into your skin anywhere. If you want something you can be proud of for years to come, I suggest you find an ARTIST to work on your tattoos...and that's what you'll find at Jannon's Tattoo Studio.

The piercer was great and we discussed if it was viable, and she shared she had titanium implant grade if I wanted to try it since the other two weren't titanium. She also said she could go deeper and use a longer rod. So I decided to do it. She was so particular to make sure it looked right standing and sitting. And my previous two piercings had been done offset so she was able to do it without even hitting my scar tissue. She also used a flat-back stud which was great! This is the first time (in my experiences) where my navel piercing didn't even get red or swollen. By night it looked like I had it for a long time. I've never had this experience of no redness tenderness or anything before! 5 stars and highly recommend. Clean. Family owned. Be aware it's cash only so you aren't caught off guard like I was. Thankfully I could pay with PayPal for my balance. It's only a week out but at this rate, I am hopeful that it will finally be accepted by my body since she went deeper and I've had no issues.

The ends of the layers were all uneven and blunt. I asked for it to be smoothed a bit and the stylist said if she kept going it was going to be uneven so I just cut my losses and left. Went to JCP to get it fixed. I asked the salon for a refund and the stylist called me and told me that choppy layers are blended layers and that's why she gave me the blunt layers, that she had 15 years of experience and I didn't know what I was talking about. She denied saying that it would be uneven if she tried to fix it. Just an awful experience overall.

I think she may have been cutting them down like that to avoid that, but I didn't have ingrown in the first place. Cutting a toenail at the corner gave me a jagged painful edge which is just now been picked off today and the swelling is already going down. Just had my toes done a few days ago.
