The CNAs here are alright. Don't expect loving compassion, they are probably overworked and…read moreunderpaid. I have seen them deal with patients who try to walk off when they're not supposed to, some who have thrown their food tray to the ground, others who will just be moaning in their bed all day. I get it, the CNAs are tired but for the most part, I do believe they are constantly moving and not sitting around. My complaint is with the Asian social worker Andrew. He is not good about returning calls and when you do get him on the phone, he is just trying to rush you off the phone. He does not sound proactive in trying to help you the best way he can. Meaning he does not offer suggestions to your complaints, he just sort of takes note of it. He is the type who does juuuust the bare minimum and is whiny about even that.

In September 2025, my father walked, talked, sang, and danced. After a hospital stay, he was…read moretransferred to King David for rehabilitation to help him walk again. I had high hopes for this facility after reading positive reviews. My father, who has dementia, was sent to King David for rehabilitation. When he arrived, he was not walking, and unfortunately, when he left, he still could not walk and was in worse condition than when he initially arrived. After his stay, he could barely speak, had lost over 20 pounds, was severely dehydrated, and appeared emotionally and physically broken. Because of his dementia, my father was entirely reliant on the medical staff for his meals, fluids, and general care. He could not feed himself or communicate when something was wrong, as he was not speaking. This made it even more critical that the staff provide attentive and timely care. The most painful memory I will always carry is the day we visited him and found him in the worst condition I had ever seen. He looked extremely weak, frail, and ill. His blood sugar was 475, and despite how alarming that was, we did not see a sense of urgency from the staff at that time. As a family, we were deeply concerned for his safety. During our visit, I noticed what I initially thought might be blood in my father's mouth. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be dried food stuck on his tooth. I am not sure how many hours or days it had been there, but it was alarming and prompted me to insist that the ER doctor examine his mouth. Upon checking, the ER doctor discovered and removed food from his mouth, which I personally witnessed. I have photos of this, which I am attaching to this review for context. In my attempts to transfer my father from King David to another facility, I found the social work team and nursing supervisors largely unhelpful. The social work team essentially expected me to handle much of the process myself. Three photos are attached for context: one showing my father before entering King David, one from the day he was taken to the emergency room, and one from the hospital while an ER physician was removing food from his mouth that was left by a medical personnel at King David. Seeing these images side by side reflects the drastic decline in his condition during this period. I will always regret placing my father in King David's care. But I share this so that others can make informed decisions. No family should ever have to experience what we did. Rehabilitation is meant to help people heal and regain strength. In my experience, my father's condition declined during his stay. Our elderly deserve dignity, careful attention, and compassion. Families deserve transparency. I hope this encourages meaningful improvements in how patients are cared for.

I provided my insurance information and was scheduled for an appointment on 06/11/25. I asked her if I can come in to tour the facility and she said yes. I went in the following day 06/06/25 and was given a tour by the manager. I informed her that I was interested in aqua therapy and she asked which insurance did I have. I informed her and she said yes we accept Emblem GHI. Again....great! Arrived to my appointment on 06/11/25 and provided my insurance information again with a cash copay which I paid but wasn't informed prior that they only accept cash. I saw a male therapist (who didn't introduce himself). He asked me about my health condition and did a less than 5 minute evaluation. He never took me into a private room to assess my range of motion (I've had multiple therapy sessions and the initial evaluation was always done privately). He then said we have to get authorization from your insurance company. I asked approximately how long will that take. He said about two days, I said okay and left. I waited patiently and decided to give them a call on 06/17/25. I called and spoke with someone who said that the manager will call me back in about an hour....no call. I called back 06/18/25 and informed the person about my call the previous day and did not receive a call back. She said the manager will call you back in a few minutes.....no call. I called about 2 1/2 hours later stressing the important of obtaining some information. She said hold on and then came back and said we don't accept your insurance. WHAT!!! I wonder at what point were they going to inform me and at what point during the two weeks did they realize that they did not accept my insurance. I would not recommend this facility just for their unprofessionalism.
