My mom had to spend the night with him to advocate for his care. Mom had him transferred back to the hospital the next morning. Less than 24 hours and no care!! I'm sure they are understaffed but definitely not a good first impression. Only giving one star to leave the review.

I informed her and she said yes we accept Emblem GHI. Again....great! Arrived to my appointment on 06/11/25 and provided my insurance information again with a cash copay which I paid but wasn't informed prior that they only accept cash. I saw a male therapist (who didn't introduce himself). He asked me about my health condition and did a less than 5 minute evaluation. He never took me into a private room to assess my range of motion (I've had multiple therapy sessions and the initial evaluation was always done privately). He then said we have to get authorization from your insurance company. I asked approximately how long will that take. He said about two days, I said okay and left. I waited patiently and decided to give them a call on 06/17/25. I called and spoke with someone who said that the manager will call me back in about an hour....no call. I called back 06/18/25 and informed the person about my call the previous day and did not receive a call back. She said the manager will call you back in a few minutes.....no call. I called about 2 1/2 hours later stressing the important of obtaining some information. She said hold on and then came back and said we don't accept your insurance. WHAT!!! I wonder at what point were they going to inform me and at what point during the two weeks did they realize that they did not accept my insurance. I would not recommend this facility just for their unprofessionalism.

Had a session with Stan of 1st Choice Occupational Therapy and felt amazing. My posture has…read morechanged, my shoulders are not dropping, and my spine has elongated. Stan explained every part of the session and answered every question and used props in the office to explain. Stan recommended a seat cushion for my car and adjusted the headrest, two amazing small changes that has improved my driving. Headrest and seat cushion are two must have adjustments not only for the driver but the the passenger as well for a relax and comfortable drive/ride.

For the past four plus years, Yuriy has been an extraordinary part of my journey through three major surgeries, countless months of rehabilitation, setbacks, uncertainty, frustration, and, ultimately, an outcome I once wondered if I would ever achieve: I am walking independently again and getting my life back!!! My journey was anything but straightforward. My first surgery was unfortunately not successful, and took multiple consultations to finally understand something was seriously wrong. The problem was so complicated surgeon after surgeon essentially told me they would not attempt to correct it because of the potential damage to my body to fix it. During all the uncertainty, Yuriy was there and he never gave up. Yuriy brought an extraordinary combination of knowledge, experience, patience, kindness, professionalism, compassion, and hands-on care to every single session. He paid attention, listened and watched my progress--or, at times, my lack of progress--and he cared deeply about understanding why I wasn't getting better. There were certainly moments when Yuriy became frustrated but his frustration was never with me. It was with the fact he could see something wasn't right, and he couldn't figure out what was preventing me from progressing. He cared even when the answer wasn't immediately apparent. There were many times over those years I cried. Yuriy always managed to stay strong even when I was overwhelmed, discouraged, or simply exhausted from the long road. But there were also a few very special moments when I saw his own eyes had welled up with tears. Those moments have stayed with me because they showed me just how deeply he cared. He wasn't simply watching a patient struggle--he was emotionally invested in helping a person find her way back. Eventually, after seeing multiple highly regarded surgeons at top NY hospitals, I finally found a courageous surgeon at HSS willing to take on the enormous challenge of correcting what had gone wrong. I underwent additional major surgeries, each followed by many months of PT. And through all of it, Yuriy was there. He adjusted... adapted... encouraged and challenged me when I needed to be and celebrated the smallest victories along the way. One of the things which makes Yuriy even more remarkable to me is he is a husband and proud father of three, and yet somehow he still brings an extraordinary amount of energy, patience, and genuine compassion to his work every day. I have had the privilege of watching him interact with other patients and it is clear the care he has shown me is not something he reserves for one. He cares deeply about all his patients. I would be remiss if I didn't recognize the INCREDIBLE team surrounding Yuriy. From the welcoming front-desk reception, to the Physical Therapist Assistants, and students completing their internships, every single person I have encountered has contributed to making this a place where patients feel cared for, respected, encouraged, and genuinely welcomed. I have watched them work together as a true team, and their kindness, patience, professionalism, and willingness to help never went unnoticed by me. It takes a special kind of environment to make a patient feel comfortable through such a long and difficult recovery, and this entire staff has created exactly that. I broke my wrist in a spring and after cast was taken off, my ortho doctor gave me referral for CHT. The moment I walked into this office, I was kindly greeted by Tatyana. After my fracture I was scared and anxious. I didn't think I would be able to use my hand ever again. I am an elderly lady and bones don't heal that well. Tatyana took her time and explained the treatment plan and the progress I should make if I follow her instructions. Tatyana was really accommodating and individualized my care. The entire staff was concern with his concerns and the concerns of my cousins who live out of the city. The nurses would take phone calls any time of the day or night. The administration director would help the family if we had any concerns. Thank you all who work at this center. This facility has Roman Catholic masses twice a week that was special for my uncle because he is spiritual. For all please consider this facility if you are in need of a rehab center. The Shea Family
