I saw the Bachelor Boys perform at a preview session in Philadelphia, PA. They were very good, and had a lot of energy & enthusiasm. The person that I dealt with (Adam) also told me that they would play most of the songs we requested if we let them know in advance. We did, and they didn't. Our reception was in a Philadelphia, PA Suburb, and none of the people that we previewed were present at the actual Wedding. The Musicians were Good, but the people had little energy or enthusiasm. Better, I think, to use a DJ (Showman) that you like, and will actually be working the Wedding than get people you never saw before. Your goal is to make the Event entertaining & memorable for your Guests. In my opinion, you are taking a chance if you book the Bachelor Boys. I gave them 4 Stars, but it should really be 3.5 . We can't say enough wonderful things about our experience with the Bachelor Boys Band. The band played for our vow renewal celebration on June 3, 2023 at the Hotel Palomar in Philadelphia. We had a three piece for our cocktail reception, and a five piece for our renewal and reception. Booking and planning were very easy. We had two calls and numerous emails with Najwa, who walked us through the process. The planning webpage is very thorough and gave us the opportunity to detail the flow of the evening, our song preferences, and our MC needs. The trio for our cocktail hour (and a half) sounded great. The music provided a nice backdrop. The band took care of DJing our recorded ceremony music, and background dinner music. The song selection was perfect and exactly what we wanted. The band learned our song for our first dance, and Matt did a beautiful job on the vocals. The full band led by Matt and Ramona, was the highlight of our whole celebration. They sounded amazing! The song selection was perfection and we danced all night. Our guests had such a great time, and everyone stayed the whole night. We even got an encore at everyone's urging. Bachelor Boys Band is an INCREDIBLE choice for your wedding day. We had gone to a wedding where they performed prior to ours, so it was a no-brainer when we knew we were going to get married in the DMV area. Some things that BBB did for us that made the day so very special: 1. they were able to learn "Go Daddy O" by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy for our father-daughter dance - this is a less well known song and they took extra effort to find quality music and make this moment happen 2. our first dance was "La Vie en Rose" and they played with the single trumpet - SOOO BEAUTIFUL! 3. I made a few playlists for inspiration for our cocktail hour and dinner (our wedding was 1940s inspired) and they took that and ran so well, right in alignment with the vision I had for the start of our reception 4. the band reviewed the list of songs with me for the dance floor ahead of time, and then confirmed that I was ok to let them flex as needed to keep the dance floor hot, based on how the guests were reacting. Bachelor boys band played at my wedding 2 weeks ago. Overall...you need to be warned that a band will do whatever they want with their own timeline. Music was decent, but the set list was not followed and the music in between during breaks was very low (everyone left the dance floor) and the breaks were VERY long. I had to keep going up and asking when they were going to play because the breaks felt like forever. Along the lines of the timeline...me as the bride shouldn't have to deal with this. The timeline was printed out and emailed ahead of time and given to every vendor with plenty of time for questions. There was a nightmare with the speeches and the salads were being served and the order of things since people were sitting for 45 minutes without food. The father daughter dance was announced as "first dance" and the first dance actual song was incorrect so we had to do our dance twice when we were called out. Many songs were a "miss" but I'm sure this happens at every party. I'm sure my guests didn't notice, but it definitely ruined a good portion of my night until all speeches, dinner, and special dances were over. Just know what you are getting involved in before booking. They are a good band, I just think not my taste overall for my day. read more

They are super high maintenance and after months of discussion they literally pulled the plug on the entire event after I asked that we have a singer with a deep voice and that they learn OUR WEDDING SONG. I really don't think I was asking for much and Amber sent me a nasty email saying they don't think it's going to work - 4 months before our wedding. When I wrote back, she responded with a much nicer, more professional email, but the damage was done! I can't say enough good things about Bachelor Boys Band. I first heard them at my sister's wedding June 2014 and thought they were great! So when Garrick and I got engaged we knew we wanted a live band, and I knew Bachelor Boys Band would be a front runner. Garrick was able to go to Pittsburgh to listen to a practice set and was sold. We opted for the 9-piece band selection and are so happy we splurged! Adam Hopkins, our POC during the planning process was wonderful - he made it easy and effortless to communicate with him and explain our "vision." Basically, we love to dance and wanted to make sure everyone was on the dance floor with us the whole night. Well, Bachelor Boys delivered and exceeded our expectations! It's been 2 weeks and we are still getting compliments from guests! We even had a wonderful surprise! My husband and I like eclectic music, and one of the songs Garrick listed for the iPod breaks was by a band called Bombino - well it turns out that the male vocalist has opened for this band before, so he (and the band) played the song live. It was AWESOME! Another super fun moment was when the band started playing "I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)" by The Proclaimers. The entire dance floor erupted and everyone started belting out the lyrics and jumping up and down and dancing. It was incredible and a memory I won't soon forget. I know it's not a typical sing-along song for a reception, but our crowd LOVED it. I wish we had video of it! we were so excited for the bachelor boys to play at our wedding in September. we "splurged" on a band because we love live music. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!! incredibly rude, they legitimately yelled at a few of our guests and the head of the band was not someone you wanted to discuss anything with- his way or no way. we sat there for TWO HOURS with zero music from the band. not one minute for almost two hours, where were they? yes the band was sitting inside the venue waiting to be served dinner and COULD NOT play until they received their meals. but yes they were sitting inside, feet in the air all kicked back and comfy DRINKING FROM THE OPEN BAR having a little party in the back. We were and still are absolutely devastated. after letting this be known to our coordinator we were told basically "too bad, delete your reviews while you're at it". we gave our coordinator a list of so many song requests and how we wanted things to go, none of it was followed. none of the songs we requested were played. just an all around awful experience and unfortunately tainted our big day by the arrogance, laziness and immaturity of this band. I can't recommend the Bachelor Boys Band highly enough. First of all, their pricing is as competitive as anyone, and their performance is off the charts. They are true professionals - both as musicians and businessmen and women. They made all the pre-wedding logistics a breeze, working with us on our music tastes and negotiating a jazz ensemble for the cocktail hour. When speaking with them before the event, they asked if we had any special requests.
