Jim C. Over a short…read moreperiod of recent time, I encountered three separate issues with my 1988 41' ACMY; 2 involving freshwater leaks (1 hidden) and a non-starting generator. After a couple futile attempts at my DIY repairs, I finely explained my issues to Chris. He immediately identified the most likely causes and solutions. The first was a small leak hidden behind a stateroom wall. I guessed at my solution and installed/plumbed a couple new water lines, blindly routing them behind the wall (pretty difficult effort). My solution was wrong. He identified a suspect inlet pressure valve I was not aware of, and that turned out to be the correct solution (quick and easy). And he had the correct tools to do it. The second water leak was a big issue down in the hull. I found where it was, but it was inaccessible to me. Chris knew how to do it and had me back fully operational the next day. Lastly, my 8kW generator would turn over but would not start. Again, I mentioned that issue to Chris. He immediately concluded corroded wires. Right again! Generator runs great again. Chris quickly identified simple low-cost solutions and got me back operational in almost no time. And of course, his quick, simple solutions saved me significant money.

For years I have read and heard great things about Advanced Marine through the fishing/boating…read morecommunity. I recently bought a boat that sat for years at the marina and needed a lot of attention to bring it back to life. I went to several local boat shops close to me and rather than work on my current engines, every shop wanted to "sell" me new motors to the tune of $35,000 to $50,000 without even looking at what I had. Even though I live 80 miles away, I called Advanced Marine, told them what I had and they said "no problem, we can take a look at it for you." (Refreshing)... When I showed up with my boat, I fully expected to drop it off and let them look at it when they had a chance, instead David (the owner) said "back it in here." He and his son Derek got right to work as I stood there in amazement. They were fast and very thorough checking this and that. Pretty soon they had both of my motors in the test tank, RUNNING with the laptop hooked up! Both motors fully serviced, running, dyno'd, and computer printouts for the motors for my records. To say that I was ecstatic is almost an understatement! This kind of service is unheard of these days. I want to thank David, Derek, and Denise for their OUTSTANDING SERVICE!! They are a small family run outfit, they are HONEST and truly care about their customers! I recommend them to everyone!

We were having power issues after installing brand new batteries and were assuming our alternator was bad. While they agreed that probably was the case, they were trustworthy enough to diagnose the situation and actually find the problem elsewhere in the isolator. After spending many frustrating hours in my garage trying to install trailer brakes myself, I…read morefinally decided to call a professional. It was the best decision I could have made. I needed free-backing drum brakes installed on my boat trailer, along with all the wiring. My trailer originally didn't have brakes, and I thought it would be a simple project--but I was completely wrong. I found this company on Google, gave them a call, and just three days later they came out to do the installation. My first impression was excellent. They were friendly, professional, and even cracked a few jokes while explaining exactly what they were going to do and how long the job would take. Their work truck was clean, they were well-organized, and all three technicians were professional and respectful. I left them working in my garage while I went to work, and when I came home a few hours later, everything was finished. The installation was outstanding. My garage was spotless, the brake system looked professionally installed, and all the wiring was neatly hidden inside the trailer frame instead of hanging underneath. The attention to detail really stood out. I've already put a few hundred miles on the trailer and launched my boat several times, and everything has worked flawlessly. I highly recommend them for any trailer brake installation or trailer repair. I'm extremely happy with the quality of their work. Thank you!
