I would give these ladies 100 stars if I could! They were willing to except me at 38 weeks pregnant and were extremely thorough with my husband who had all the questions about a homebirth versus a birth at the birth center! We ended up choosing homebirth April and her assistant were absolutely amazing, I ended up having a little issue with my body the day after I gave birth and Sarah came right over to my house and took care of me! I did all my postpartum visits with Sarah and she was absolutely amazing. If I choose to have a third baby I will do it from start to finish with the midwives here Hands-down. The lady who gave this place a one star review must be a little bit on the crazy side

A perfect, peaceful, delivery like I always imagined thanks to Sarah!

I have had two pregnancies and birthing experiences with Baby's First Day / Serenity Birth Center,…read moreand I truly cannot say enough good things about them. With my first baby, I had a home birth that lasted several days. It was an extremely long labor, but the delivery and care I received throughout labor and after birth were amazing. The midwives are incredibly kind and genuinely care about your well-being. Postpartum, however, was much harder than I expected. I was really struggling emotionally and physically, and on top of that, breastfeeding was extremely difficult. During one especially challenging moment, Alexyis FaceTimed me while I needed breastfeeding support, and I cried the entire call. She stayed with me, reassured me, and supported me through one of the most vulnerable experiences of my life. I will never forget that kind of compassion. On top of that, my midwife Sarah even came to visit me at home on her day off just to check on me. That meant more to me than I can put into words. It showed how deeply they care about the mothers they serve -- not just during birth, but well beyond it. If it weren't for their support and reassurance, I don't think I would have had success with breastfeeding. I was close to giving up and switching to formula, but they assured me that I could do it. I'm happy to say we got past that huge hurdle, and my first daughter was breastfed for over two years. For my second birth, we initially planned another home birth. However, due to financial hardship, we decided to switch to the birth center since it was covered by Medicaid. Around 36 weeks -- when payment was due -- my husband was laid off. When we shared the news with Serenity, they responded with so much compassion. Sydney kindly put our account on hold and told us not to worry until we could figure things out. They did not pressure us for payment during such a stressful time, which meant so much to our family. When we applied for Medicaid and were still waiting for approval, we were prepared to pay for our previous prenatal visits out of pocket because we assumed they wouldn't be covered. However, Sydney encouraged us to wait in case Medicaid would retroactively cover those appointments. That level of patience and understanding truly showed us that they are not just in this business for the money -- they genuinely care about their clients. Just like with my first pregnancy, my prenatal appointments during my second were wonderful. I was grateful for Alexyis reassuring me that second labors are often faster and easier -- and she was right! My delivery went so smoothly. Ashley and Sylvia were so supportive and brought such positive, uplifting energy into the room. I was so thankful to have them by my side. Every staff member I've met has been genuine, kind, and compassionate. April, the owner, is incredibly caring, and I am so grateful for her and her practice. She has helped give so many women the beautiful birthing experiences they hope and dream of -- myself included. I will always be thankful for Serenity Birth Center and the amazing team there.

From the very beginning, the level of respect, compassion, and genuine support my husband and I received from this team was incomparable to our previous experience. Throughout my pregnancy, they conducted thorough bloodwork, ultrasounds, and testing to ensure I was not a high-risk patient, with full transparency that care would be transferred if necessary. Each appointment lasted at least 30 minutes, allowing ample time to speak with the midwives, ask questions, and truly get to know them. That time mattered more than I ever expected--it built deep trust and comfort, so when the time came to give birth, my walls completely came down. The team kept detailed shared notes and held weekly meetings to discuss all patients. At every visit, they carefully checked the baby's growth, heartbeat, and performed any necessary ultrasounds. Through what can only be described as divine intervention, Ashley Towns became our doula. Her love, wisdom, experience, and steady presence were exactly what we needed during labor. Going through both the scariest and most beautiful day of your life with that level of support grounds you and restores faith--in your body and in our Creator. Having her by our side meant we were supported emotionally and physically every step of the way. When it came time to give birth, we chose the birth center because we felt peace knowing everything we might need was on site, with a hospital just minutes away. I had the water birth of my dreams and delivered our baby surrounded by guidance, calm, and reassurance. Amanda Osei gently guided me through bringing our baby out of the water, reminded me through delivering the placenta, and ensured both our baby and I were healthy and safe. In truth, I'm leaving out countless details--because the entire experience was nothing short of dreamy from start to finish. I recommend these women to every pregnant person I know. I will never forget arriving at the birth center in active labor and feeling an immediate wave of relief the moment I saw them waiting for us outside. Even six months later, we still lovingly call them our fertility goddesses. Thank you to everyone--especially April--for creating such a beautiful clinic and birth center in Las Vegas. Jack-Peter, Venus, and I are forever grateful.

She was referred to me from a friend, yet I still did my own research and interviewed a few other midwives before committing and I felt like she was the best fit. Each prenatal visit was at least an hour long - she gave me time to ask my questions and never made me feel silly or brushed me off. Having no previous exposure to a home birth, I had a lot of questions yet she answered them all gracefully and in great detail - giving my the confidence I needed to believe in myself that I could do this and that it is safe. Also included in the package was a prenatal massage around 36 weeks and when I tell you it was the best massage in my life - you have to believe me! It was amazing! That hour flew by and I was ready to book another one When I went into labor, I waited until almost the last minute to tell anyone, just to be sure it was the real thing. Well, it was the real thing and it was go time by the time my husband got home from work and Heather arrived. But she didn't waste any time, she jumped in and gave me the encouragement and reassurance I needed to get through transition and birth my baby girl. She was so amazing and was not afraid to get her hands dirty. My 3 year old was there and Heather included her in everything and never pushed her out of the way. Even though I was almost pushing as she walked through the door, she still handled everything with such a calmness and peacefulness that it made that crazy intense last part of birth go so perfectly. If I decide to have baby number 3, a home birth will definitely be my preferred route and Heather would be at the top of my list of midwives (but I would give a longer heads up next time ).

Their website is helpful and informative, and we were able to submit a form to be contacted - we met Jasmine on site to hear more about their doula services and other offerings. If you know early on that you're interested in using a doula, contact them sooner rather than later, as they have Open House events where you can meet their various providers to see who might be a good fit for you. I ended up getting induced a week later and did not end up using a doula - while my delivery went just fine without, it's worth looking into if you can afford it, and there is evidence that their involvement can shorten labor and improve outcomes. As first-time (and probably only-time parents), we were more concerned about having someone able to fully explain options to us and advocate for what we wanted in the hospital environment. That being said, WRM has more than just doula services - they also have midwives and a lactation consultant, as well as several classes offered onsite that you can take before, during and after your pregnancy. My husband and I took their 2-hour Newborn Care Class and it was helpful to hear the most important info and ask questions right before we had our baby. The class included a helpful book with free access to an app, and was led by their lactation consultant, Rory. It also served as a good way to get to know her in case we ended up needing LC services.

Don't make the same mistake we did. We hired Emily as an advanced doula from WRM when I was a little over 38wks. I didn't agree with my OBs decision to induce me early so even though I was so close to giving birth I considered going for the natural way instead. After meeting with Emily, my husband and I decided to labor at home and a hospital birth with Emily as our Doula. We only met with her Twice for prenatal care where we discussed my birth plan, and my main concerns about birth. I was very adamant about not wanting an induction. I also expressed my concerns regarding breastfeeding. She reassured me that even though things might not always go according to plan than she, as my doula/advocate will do her best to still give me the ideal birth I wanted by making sure my birth plan/requests are still honored. Also, that she will assist us with our transition taking our baby home. Everything sounded good. And I was looking forward to working with her. She said she can be in the OR during the delivery- she said it's all good because one of their owners actually sits on the board of Henderson Hospital. So they know her there and know her work. On the day my water broke I kept her posted. Texting and calling through contractions until it got really painful that my husband had to take over. Now just to really show you how unethical and uncompassionate Emily and this whole company is, She then asked for more money DURING LABOR!! stating that according to her contract half her doula fee of $1200 had to be paid before she can go to the hospital with us. We had already paid $900, and at the office she said we only needed to pay half prior the delivery and there will be a payment plan. We paid but this just left such a bad taste in my mouth. When Emily arrived at the hospital It had already been 36 hours since my water broke. My Doctor discussed the complications of a vaginal birth in my case. He suggested that I go for a c section because he thinks my baby will be 9-10 pounds & gave us a couple of hours to make a decision. I was so scared and so frustrated. I was in pain! After long consideration, we didn't want to take such great risks and decided to go for the surgery. Prior to going into surgery I Spoke with Emily again about my birth plan. I asked her if she will be there with me to watch over the whole thing and she said Yes. I really expected her to be present in the OR, as she will act as my advocate making sure my requests for my birth and baby were honored. I thought even if it's a c section, my birth can still be somewhat ideal. Unfortunately, most things on my plan were not followed: - I did not get immediate skin to - My baby's vernix was wiped off. - Cord clamping was Not delayed. - Exams for baby were not delayed. - Vaginal swab for cesarean birth was not done. Needless to say, I was so sad about this. Emily bought us dinner, took pictures & then left...since she can't do any sort of medical assistance there, she might as well be just any other visitor. She might as well just text us and act like a virtual doula because she was of no use to us at the hospital. After delivery my main concern was my baby's latch and breastfeeding. Emily sent me a "How to breastfeed" YouTube video the night of my delivery - like I will have the time to watch that?! I could have looked that up myself. These are all examples of her failing to show up for us. The first hours with my child are incredibly important! I needed immediate post partum care/ lactation assistance! Once you're in hospital care they hit you with "It's a liability!" Therefore their care cannot be provided. All their help are now deemed useless. If we fully understood this ' you're now under Hospital care caveat, that they can't intervene because it's all up to our doctors and nurses now, we wouldn't have hired WRM in the first place. When you complain about the lack of care/ services, get ready to be answered with...well technically it's in your contract so sorry. You're trying to cover with technicalities now? From a contract we unwittingly signed on an iPad for one minute on our way out the door. We had a TWO HOUR!! consultation with them, you'd think they'd take two minutes to go through the contract/ scope of services and limitations with you before taking your money. We tried setting up a meeting to discuss our experience multiple times in the course of 2 weeks, Not a single staff member from the WRM office returned our calls or bothered to get back to us. Again showing the lack of care for their paying clients. We're currently waiting on the status of this matter. I'll keep this review updated.
