Jillian is an absolute dream to work with. I knew from our very first meeting that she was the perfect fit for me and my family. My anxiety with this pregnancy was high as I experienced all new things than my previous pregnancy. She was there to guide me the whole way, was very attentive, knowledgeable and calming. I can't imagine how different labor and delivery could have gone without her there. She is now an extension of our family and can't wait to continue to share our little girl's milestones with her.

I hired Jillian as my doula and had an absolutely amazing experience. As a first time mom, I was really scared about the process and wanted to have an Unmedicated hospital birth. After meeting with Jillian I knew she was the right person to guide me through my labor and delivery. As someone with a type A personality, I did so much research on labor and delivery but still felt I needed someone who knew the process at a professional level. Jillian was really good about listening to my wants and needs but also adjusting our birth plan as my labor progressed. I texted her all through the night while laboring at home and she was always available for me. I truly feel that the energy Jillian brought to the delivery room helped me stay calm, knowing I had an advocate who was knowledgeable about the process. If you are considering hiring a Doula for your hospital or home birth, I highly recommend Jillian!

Well Rounded Momma provides assistance with pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. The facility offers classes for pregnant and postpartum mothers, ranging from fitness (yoga and pilates) to hypnobirthing to grace-filled childbirth to breastfeeding. The facility also connects women to midwives, doulas, lactation consultants, massage therapists, and counselors. Basically, anything you need during pregnancy, labor, and beyond, Well Rounded Momma has you covered. The facility has a small store in the front with helpful products for pregnancy and labor. Within the facility are offices for the midwives, doulas, lactation consultants, massage therapists, and counselors. There is also a multi-purpose room, which serves as a meeting space and fitness studio. My favorite area is a lounge with a couch, a small table for children, and a library with books, which are available to borrow for free. Everyone, who works at Well Rounded Momma seems dedicated to helping anyone, who wants or needs assistance. Whether you are looking for additional information or service providers, Well Rounded Momma is your one stop shop for all pregnancy, labor, and postpartum needs!

Jillian Young is amazing! When I found out I was pregnant I had a huge desire to have a natural home birth experience. However, I had so much fear and so many questions. I chose Jillian as my doula because from our first conversation, she gave me such a sense of confidence in myself, my body, and birth itself. Our prenatal visits put my mind at ease and prepared me to head into labor with confidence. She was always so prompt and attentive to texts and phone calls when I had questions all throughout my pregnancy. The day of my labor Jillian was everything I needed and more. She never left my side, supporting me mentally and physically from first contraction to making us our first meal in bed with our new baby. She supported me with such intuition and love. I rarely had to mention what I needed, she was there before I could say the words. My husband says hiring Jillian as our doula was the best money we've ever spent! It allowed him and I to focus on laboring as team while she took care of everything else. My labor was a truly beautiful experience that I look back on fondly. It was so convenient that she is also a tub tech and can encapsulate placentas. We didn't have to have someone else come in to set up the tub. She took care of all of that and cleaned everything up while we enjoyed our new baby girl. We woke up in the morning to a clean house including laundry done and folded. She took my placenta with her and returned it encapsulated within the next week. Jillian was such a huge blessing and one of the biggest reasons my birth experience was a successful, relatively 'quick', and truly positive experience. I pray the same for you! Update: My daughter is now a year old and Jillian is still serving our family. I have called and text her on multiple occasions in a new-mom-panic. She has always made time for me (and refused payment though I offer because her information is invaluable). She is a huge reason I'm still able to be nursing and she has saved us an ER visit and bill more than once! She truly cares about mamas and babies and is such a treasure.

Ask the Community - Well Rounded Momma

Are there doctors on hand in case something like a cut /stitches down there needs to happen?

Hi! We are able to handle most natural tears, but if it looks like you’d benefit from a surgeon we would go to the nearest hospital.

Is doula services covered by most insurances?

It is covered by some, but not many.

Did you guys move locations recently?

Hi! We moved from our Eastern location to a Pecos address in July 2018.

I am sorry that I have not updated my review as of yet; what happened caused a significant delay…read more My intent was to get appointments taken care of before my trip and during the month of October. Other events caused more delays, which is the reason why there are very few reviews. Needless to say, the care I needed was delayed as well as the update of this review. In 2024, I specifically requested Pueblo Imaging because I had a poor experience with Simon Med. I forgot how poor of experience I had until I went to Simon Med again in 2025; where I got worse service. This is not Alternative for Women's fault, but it is their fault for not updating their records when I requested Steinberg instead. I know this because my mother (who has worked with medical scheduling systems) asked if I had requested Pueblo Imaging previously. That being said, I felt a little more understanding that Pueblo called after I asked for Steinberg Imaging. What my grievance is is that Alternatives for Women said that I requested Pueblo Imaging October 2025. The other poor experience that I had with Alternatives for Women was the delay with obtaining an updated referral. After asking for Steinberg, I had to call a few times. Each time I called, I was told that I would receive an email with the new referral. It took a few tries that I ran out of time in October. To my surprise, Pueblo Imaging called. I would have gone there, but it would not have been covered. So, I contacted Alternatives for Women again to correct this as I requested Steinberg. I got an updated referral after my Yelp review, but it was too late. It was impossible to get it scheduled in October as planned. I also went through a chain of events following so I could not schedule an appointment. I didn't know what to say because I still believe that it will still be a review with few stars. They confused a request from 2024 with 2025 and said that I requested Pueblo. I think that it was still in their system from 2024 because I know what I said about Pueblo Imaging. I didn't plan on coming back. They have great supplements and great recommendations for me, but I just couldn't. I am sorry that I could not provide a 5 star review because she is good at what she does. Again, I am sorry for the delay. I would say yes, this is a good place to go. You just need to be on top of stuff like knowing which pharmacy is open and you need to contact them and be sure that they updated their records before getting referrals. Double check.

My husband is the smart fellow who had researched the history of birthing and knew a home birth would be right for us. But the first midwife we interviewed took a while to answer basic questions such as, "What complications would necessitate us leaving the house for the hospital?" When asked the same question above, Allyson immediately listed several instances. She even brought out a doll and a 3D model of the pelvic bones to demonstrate. That's my kind of professional! Direct, organized, and eager to share her knowledge. I knew Allyson would be the perfect midwife for me. Like most women, I did not experience any complications during the natural birth process. Allyson and her apprentice, Romina, expertly and lovingly guided us through 18 hours of labor in the peace and quiet of my downtown apartment. I was 36 at the time of delivery, which is considered high risk, but everything went as smooth as it could. Post birth experiences with Allyson were also invaluable. She is as concerned for the mother as much as the baby, which is a level of service unique to midwives. Allyson's post birth home visits are a luxury I wish every family could experience. My experience with Allyson has changed my perspective on medical care, in general. I feel much more empowered as a patient, and know what good care looks like. Allyson spent one hour, I repeat, one hour with me during every visit. This provides ample time for me to digest information and to ask questions. She involved my significant other in the entire pregnancy, made sure that my labs were normal, that my baby's labs were normal, that I had whatever kind of birth I wanted and even if on that day it had changed, it didn't matter. She had a ton of reading, audio and video materials to loan to mothers-to-be from her library. She also recommended classes that we could take to learn more about Lamaze, breathing technique, or breastfeeding. She had tips for how to cut baby's nails, how to get started on cloth diapers, and how to care for myself after the birth. I told her I didn't want an epidural and that I at first wanted a water birth. I ended up doing my prelabor in the bathtub then laboring on the bathroom floor in my own house. She was supportive of all the animal grunting sounds I was making and cheered me on. She gave me olive oil to rub on the baby's head, gave me fresh coconut juice when I needed rejuvenation, took some memorable pictures for me and my new family, counted his fingers, toes, took his measurements, had my significant other weigh the baby, and she even did the footprints. She was great with prenatal and postpartum care. She told me what diet I should be on, but also that I should just eat whatever I felt was right. She encouraged me to be me as much as I could be me during the pregnancy with respect to having a healthy pregnancy. She gave me suggestions during my seventh month as to what exercises I could do in the pool since the treadmill was starting to become too hard on my knees. Whenever she wanted to incorporate a teaching moment for other doulas or learning midwives, she would always ask for permission first. She respected me, my son, my significant other and our beliefs. She gave me lactation consultation and helped my son to latch on. She was great about scheduling if anything ever came up and fit me in even when she seemed like she couldn't. She was always reachable and was never more than a few hours away by phone or email. I am glad that I went with her versus going to a doctor or a hospital. Even when I had thought about having the birth in the hospital, she was still supportive of my decision and was ready to do the patient-transfer paperwork and then was supportive again when I decided that the hospital thing was not my cup of tea. For my hundredth review on Yelp, she's whom I'm writing about and Great Expectations Midwifery Care is what I care about. She did an awesome job and if I were to have other children in the future, I would definitely go back to her. I would recommend her to any of my friends and family.

From the very beginning, Jillian provided compassionate, evidence-based birth education that helped us to feel at ease, empowered and informed as first time parents. She took the time to really understand our desires and priorities for our birth experience, and she was incredibly supportive throughout the entire process leading up to our birth. We met twice prior to birth and she helped us to create our birth plan. Jillian was available via text at any point, but was very helpful and responsive toward the end of my pregnancy. When my birth plan shifted and I needed to be induced, Jillian was immediately available, offering steady guidance, emotional support, and practical tools to help me feel comfortable and prepare for the unknown. She made an extra trip to the hospital simply to guide us through the induction process. Jillian was by my side through many (late, never-ending) hours of our very lengthy labor. She guided me through the pain and many hard decisions. She was a calm and encouraging presence not only for me, but for my husband's ease during the intense labor as well. While our labor brought us many deviations from our original birth plan, Jillian helped us ask the right questions, understand our options, and feel confident in our decisions. I never once felt alone or overwhelmed because she was always there to reassure me and offer honest & safe birth guidance. Even though our birth ultimately ended in a c-section, I can honestly say I felt supported, respected, and strong throughout the entire experience, because of Jillian. Jillian stayed in our labor and delivery room during the c-section to help completely pack us up to move to the postpartum floor. She was one of the first faces I saw upon returning to our labor and delivery room and she was eager to help with skin to skin and latching. Jillian stayed with us to help us get settled and returned the next day to check in on us. Jillian visited our house twice more for a postpartum visit and delivery. We were always so happy to see her bright, kind face. She brought a very cheerful, yet calming presence to our home. I know if we had labored with her at our home, it would have been a beautiful, calm experience. I also utilized Jillian's placenta encapsulation services and was very pleased with the results. She even made us little heart art out of our baby's umbilical cord. So kind. Jillian's warmth and deep knowledge made all the difference in our experience. I'm incredibly grateful to have had her by our side, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking a doula who is both deeply compassionate and skilled. From quality prenatal care, to a positive birth experience, to an abundance of postpartum support…read more(12 weeks!), Cassie should be your top choice when looking to hire a midwife. With a personal history of breech birth, I searched for someone who had the confidence and experience to safely deliver a breech baby at home. These skills are uncommon and incredibly hard to find! My first birth resulted in a cesarean and I desperately wanted to avoid a second hospital birth. This meant I was also a VBAC. No problem! Cassie's confidence and continued education on breech birth practice solidified my decision in hiring her, and in the end, she delivered (pun intended). We had a smooth, memorable home birth that my family will treasure forever. Cassie will support your birth plan, fears, postpartum healing, provide comforting guidance, and promptly answer your phonecalls. What more could you want? I can't recommend her enough.

This was our first child and my husband and I were so impressed with the personalized, detailed sessions. To be new parents with so many questions, Cassie made us feel more and more confident at every appointment as she prepared us for our home birth. We were also seeing an OBGYN in the first couple weeks of pregnancy and It was a night and day difference from how we were treated and cared for. We soon dropped our OBGYN because we found that Cassie provided everything we needed. When they came to our house to help me with my birth, Cassie and Jacinta made the most amazing team. Never wavered, never doubted me and always kept my wishes and preferences above all. I appreciate how they also gave room for my husband to perform his role as my coach and soother. I trusted them with all my heart, and I would do it again with no hesitation. They have my deepest gratitude and I will forever praise their work! I would 100% recommend to ANYONE who is having a baby.

Our family adores Jordan! She has been such blessing from the moment we met her. Once we found out…read morewe were expecting, we immediately began looking for doulas. I had intended to interview a few but as luck would have it, Jordan was our first interview. Her energy spoke volumes and everything we spoke about affirmed what I imagined my pregnancy and birth to be. My wife and I hadn't even made it home before we decided we wanted to proceed with Jordan. She was such great support throughout my pregnancy and as a first time mom, her childbirth education course made me feel ready (or as ready as you can be) and empowered for an unmedicated birth center birth. From day one, Jordan made it a point to get to know my wife and I so that she could really support us collectively and individually on this journey. She was a calming voice during labor and delivery and went above and beyond afterwards to make sure we felt supported and cared for. She has a plethora of knowledge and resources that can help you with whatever you may need. When my son had trouble latching she connected me with an incredible IBCLC who completely transformed my breastfeeding journey. We are 6 months into this journey and thriving. After our son was born, Jordan continued as our postpartum doula. She's amazing - from holding him and giving us a break so we could take a nap to washing dishes and folding newborn laundry - Jordan continued making us feel supported and cared for. She was also a listening ear whenever I felt overwhelmed or just wanted to talk about all the new things I was experiencing. 5 stars is not enough. I can't recommend Jordan and her services enough. She deeply cares about her clients and it is evident not only in what she does, but how she does it. If you are looking for a doula, she is THE ONE!

We appreciated that she took the time to really get to know my partner and myself through out the process. She took the time to get know our needs and and helped us set up a birth plan we were comfortable with. She was very supportive of all our decisions and provided resources in order to help us reach an informed decision in areas where we had questions. We decided to take her full workshop, where we gained all the information we could need for the birthing process, pregnancy, postpartum care, and basic child care information. We felt well prepared for labor and any obstacles that could come our way. We loved the movement classes and the partner communication sessions of the course. The course helped us really get on the same page about many aspects of this journey. Her prenatal yoga class is also very relaxing and beneficial. I felt so much more relaxed after the session and plan on going for more for my postpartum care. Jordan was there for us throughout the very long labor and all the obstacles that came with it. She was supportive and tried to make the situation as comfortable for us as possible. She helped manage emotions and provided more information as we had to make in the moment decisions. After our beautiful baby boy was born, Jordan was there to help me get the baby to latch, make me comfortable, and help with minor details with the nurses. She checked in regularly once we were home and was a huge help during our postpartum care visit. We truly recommend Jordan to anyone looking for a support during their pregnancy. As first time parents we were so nervous of everything that was coming our way. After our classes, meetings and just getting to know Jordan, we felt so much better and prepared. I knew I had a friend I could call at anytime. And I took advantage of that a couple times. We plan to hire her for any future children we may have.

Once I found out I was pregnant again with my third, I knew I wanted to go back to Baby's First Day…read morewithout question! Long story short, after a horrible experience with an OB office during my second pregnancy, I transferred to Baby's First Day and had a wonderful experience there that was so different from my prior experiences with OB care (both with my first and second pregnancies). That's why I'm back at Baby's First Day again for my third pregnancy! For this pregnancy, I was severely sick again for months, but unlike my experience with the OB office I went to last time, Baby's First Day midwives were nothing but patient and understanding. They never made me feel bad for not being able to make it to appointments early on due to illness, and they made my initiation of in-person care at 22 weeks a seamless experience. Up until that point, they kept in touch with my husband whenever he had any questions about anything. They were always super prompt to respond! My first in-person appointment for this pregnancy a few days ago really reminded me of how much I loved my experience here last time. The front desk was friendly and organized during check in and check out. The midwife I saw that day (Amanda) was kind and compassionate during the whole appointment, and her calm presence made me feel comfortable despite being a little anxious about being out and about again for long-due prenatal care. The initial appointment was as thorough as always, and she made sure to confirm details about my experience so far this pregnancy, review details from past pregnancies, and also review general health information. There was also plenty of time to ask questions. I was given a folder complete with important information such as numbers to have on hand and daily care topics such as prenatal nutrition; there were also resources provided to help moms, such as local new/returning mommy groups and postpartum care services. On top of that, I didn't have to wait long to be seen upon arrival. I checked in, took my weight, and waited less than ten minutes after that! That's a huge improvement from the super long wait times I've experienced in the past at the previous OB office I went to. At the end of my appointment, I knew exactly what next steps to expect with ultrasounds and gestational diabetes testing among other things. I was also promptly followed up with via the patient portal concerning next steps/relevant resources within 24 hours. All-in-all, despite going in a little nervous since I'd been sick for so long, I left my first in-person appointment feeling calm and in good hands. The cute little postpartum bag I was given also lifted my spirits even more--how thoughtful to think ahead to that time post-birth! It left me even more in a good place mentally and emotionally in preparing for the journey ahead. I'm so grateful for that, especially with how rough the past few months have been!

After experiencing my first pregnancy through an OB/GYN and ultimately a miscarriage, I knew that…read morewhen I became pregnant again, I wanted a more supported, holistic approach to care. From the very beginning, the level of respect, compassion, and genuine support my husband and I received from this team was incomparable to our previous experience. Throughout my pregnancy, they conducted thorough bloodwork, ultrasounds, and testing to ensure I was not a high-risk patient, with full transparency that care would be transferred if necessary. Each appointment lasted at least 30 minutes, allowing ample time to speak with the midwives, ask questions, and truly get to know them. That time mattered more than I ever expected--it built deep trust and comfort, so when the time came to give birth, my walls completely came down. The team kept detailed shared notes and held weekly meetings to discuss all patients. At every visit, they carefully checked the baby's growth, heartbeat, and performed any necessary ultrasounds. Through what can only be described as divine intervention, Ashley Towns became our doula. Her love, wisdom, experience, and steady presence were exactly what we needed during labor. Going through both the scariest and most beautiful day of your life with that level of support grounds you and restores faith--in your body and in our Creator. Having her by our side meant we were supported emotionally and physically every step of the way. When it came time to give birth, we chose the birth center because we felt peace knowing everything we might need was on site, with a hospital just minutes away. I had the water birth of my dreams and delivered our baby surrounded by guidance, calm, and reassurance. Amanda Osei gently guided me through bringing our baby out of the water, reminded me through delivering the placenta, and ensured both our baby and I were healthy and safe. In truth, I'm leaving out countless details--because the entire experience was nothing short of dreamy from start to finish. I recommend these women to every pregnant person I know. I will never forget arriving at the birth center in active labor and feeling an immediate wave of relief the moment I saw them waiting for us outside. Even six months later, we still lovingly call them our fertility goddesses. Thank you to everyone--especially April--for creating such a beautiful clinic and birth center in Las Vegas. Jack-Peter, Venus, and I are forever grateful.

I immediately knew Tiffanie was this perfect combination of gentleness and calmness and yet confident and sure in her experience and training. I'm so unbelievably grateful for the entire midwifery services provided by Mother's Choice Midwifery from start to finish. From every prenatal appointment to labor/delivery to postpartum care, I was continually supported and guided through every stage of my prenatal and postnatal care. I'm so grateful for midwives that trust the birthing process and the woman's ability to birth her baby. During my 41st week of pregnany my baby must have flipped without me knowing because while in labor we learned that baby had gone breech! When Tiffanie arrived at my home, I was asked if I wanted to be checked and told prior to the exam that based on the meconium coming out that she believed baby was breech. To all of our surprise, my baby indeed had gone breech! Tiffanie let us know that if we went to a hospital it would be an immediate c-section. Ironically, she had just received even further training on breech births. We went over our options and any potential risks involved and my husband and I were left to privately discuss what we wanted to do. Because I was fully dilated and more importantly, Tiffanie's absolute confidence in my ability to birth my baby in the safety of my home we decided to stay home and I'm so unbelievably grateful we did! About an hour and a half after Tiffanie arrived and checked me, our perfect little breech baby girl was born!!! Such an amazing experience and testimony to God's perfect plan! I cannot say enough good things about Mother's Choice Midwifery and I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!

I knew my birth plan and choices were going to be respected. She has such a deep love and understanding of expectant mothers. I had a false alarm with contractions, yet when the real deal came at 42 weeks, she was prepared & ready to go. After 18 hours of labor, she knew I was exhausted and this baby needed to come out NOW. She knew just what to do to reach the 'finale' safely. All along the way, she made sure anything she did was with my consent. She was calm & reassuring. I'm so glad & grateful she accepted me as her client, & was the person to deliver my precious baby.
