Ali was wonderful to work with from first contact until my completed products were hand delivered to my house a couple of days after my daughter's birth. Everything was beautifully and professionally packaged and presented with easy to follow instructions. I am a first time mom, but I truly feel that the placenta capsules helped my body heal and my hormones regulate more quickly than would have occurred without them. I look forward to using the salve and tincture in the future as the needs arise. I will always treasure the cord keepsake and adore the placenta print with colors customized to match our nursery. I highly recommend The Joyful Birth placenta encapsulation to all mothers!

Ali is an absolute delight and was such a blessing to have on my birth team. I highly recommend her placenta services as well, I could not be more pleased with my experience! The adorable keepsake and the canvas are a lovely bonus. Thank you so much Ali!

Ali was such a gift during my birth experience. The way she was able to guide me and focus on my needs was amazing. She was so in tune with what I wanted and spoke for me in the moments I wasn't able. Her faith in Christ and constant prayer throughout my pregnancy and birth was a comfort beyond all others. I hired her for doula services, placenta encapsulation, and birth photography and she did everything so wonderfully. If you're on the fence about who to choose or even wanting a doula at all, look no further! She will be as big of a blessing to you as she was for us.

My first birth and I couldn't be happier with having Ali there along the way. I found Ali during my first few months of being pregnant and it was amazing having someone to reassure me that things I was experiencing was normal. She's very knowledgeable and gave me and my husband the resources for us to get more educated on the things we didn't know or understand. She made the experience relaxing by coming to our house so it wasn't another journey like going to the doctor's office. We also had her there to take photos during our birth and it made it so my husband who usually takes our photos be able to be 100% in the moment as our baby was born. The placenta art she made is beautiful and I couldn't be happier with my keepsakes. Overall we highly recommend her she's an amazing person to have apart of your birth team.

I was referred to Ali via my midwife Kyla Groneman. I was so happy she did bc I knew right away that she was perfect to help me have a better birth experience this second time around. Although it was my own journey to have a home birth or hospital birth, she gave space for either. She gave space for me to determine what would be best for my family. Not only that, she a one stop shop for all the services from photos to placenta balms! Everything she makes is meticulous just like how she works as a doula. She knows how to instinctually support us mamas during labor, pre and post! During my birth, she worked so well with my husband and midwife. We were able to have a success and wonderful VBAC! Maybe one day I'll muster up the courage to post my video on her page, lol. She was also so fast in giving me my placenta tincture, print, golden cord, balm, and pills. She even given me the cutest card with homemade stickers. I consider her my friend now who is welcomed into my home any day. Ali and Kyla work so well as doulas, they inspire me to be a doula one day.

So glad i got my placenta pills incapsulated with Ali shes so sweet i wish i would of known she did doula services before i was far in pregnancy i would of hired her to be with me through this journey thats so special to me im 100% satisfied with the placenta service tho i recommend.

On July 25th I gave birth to my son a bit earlier than anticipated. Luckily Ali was able to make her way over to pick up my placenta once I went home and was able to deliver it over before she left out of town (an angel)!!! I want to start by saying I had reached out to Ali about a month before my birth maybe a bit sooner about placenta encapsulation and was eager to work with her not only because she was kind, easy going, local, and educated but also because she always willing to answer any questions and felt like I had a friend to talk to about certain situations in my pregnancy which she did not have to go out of the way to do. I had a rough experience having to get induced with my baby two weeks earlier than anticipated and whenever I let Ali know what was going on she was really reassuring and kind about everything. I really appreciate everything Ali! As for my placenta pills they have tremendously helped me- I genuinely could feel the difference since the day I started taking them, energy wise, mood wise, and even with PP depression. I can't even begin to describe how great my energy has been especially since I'm up all night EBF and not being the type of person to easily nap LOL. Also not to mention my body feels better way faster than I had anticipated as well! I plan on working with Ali for every single pregnancy whether it be for my placenta encapsulation or even hiring her as a doula. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and I have already recommended her to many of my girlfriends who are having babies this year. I'm really excited for my future babies and pregnancies because of the joy Ali brought me after this birth. She really is the Joyful Birth

Their website is helpful and informative, and we were able to submit a form to be contacted - we met Jasmine on site to hear more about their doula services and other offerings. If you know early on that you're interested in using a doula, contact them sooner rather than later, as they have Open House events where you can meet their various providers to see who might be a good fit for you. I ended up getting induced a week later and did not end up using a doula - while my delivery went just fine without, it's worth looking into if you can afford it, and there is evidence that their involvement can shorten labor and improve outcomes. As first-time (and probably only-time parents), we were more concerned about having someone able to fully explain options to us and advocate for what we wanted in the hospital environment. That being said, WRM has more than just doula services - they also have midwives and a lactation consultant, as well as several classes offered onsite that you can take before, during and after your pregnancy. My husband and I took their 2-hour Newborn Care Class and it was helpful to hear the most important info and ask questions right before we had our baby. The class included a helpful book with free access to an app, and was led by their lactation consultant, Rory. It also served as a good way to get to know her in case we ended up needing LC services.

Don't make the same mistake we did. We hired Emily as an advanced doula from WRM when I was a little over 38wks. I didn't agree with my OBs decision to induce me early so even though I was so close to giving birth I considered going for the natural way instead. After meeting with Emily, my husband and I decided to labor at home and a hospital birth with Emily as our Doula. We only met with her Twice for prenatal care where we discussed my birth plan, and my main concerns about birth. I was very adamant about not wanting an induction. I also expressed my concerns regarding breastfeeding. She reassured me that even though things might not always go according to plan than she, as my doula/advocate will do her best to still give me the ideal birth I wanted by making sure my birth plan/requests are still honored. Also, that she will assist us with our transition taking our baby home. Everything sounded good. And I was looking forward to working with her. She said she can be in the OR during the delivery- she said it's all good because one of their owners actually sits on the board of Henderson Hospital. So they know her there and know her work. On the day my water broke I kept her posted. Texting and calling through contractions until it got really painful that my husband had to take over. Now just to really show you how unethical and uncompassionate Emily and this whole company is, She then asked for more money DURING LABOR!! stating that according to her contract half her doula fee of $1200 had to be paid before she can go to the hospital with us. We had already paid $900, and at the office she said we only needed to pay half prior the delivery and there will be a payment plan. We paid but this just left such a bad taste in my mouth. When Emily arrived at the hospital It had already been 36 hours since my water broke. My Doctor discussed the complications of a vaginal birth in my case. He suggested that I go for a c section because he thinks my baby will be 9-10 pounds & gave us a couple of hours to make a decision. I was so scared and so frustrated. I was in pain! After long consideration, we didn't want to take such great risks and decided to go for the surgery. Prior to going into surgery I Spoke with Emily again about my birth plan. I asked her if she will be there with me to watch over the whole thing and she said Yes. I really expected her to be present in the OR, as she will act as my advocate making sure my requests for my birth and baby were honored. I thought even if it's a c section, my birth can still be somewhat ideal. Unfortunately, most things on my plan were not followed: - I did not get immediate skin to - My baby's vernix was wiped off. - Cord clamping was Not delayed. - Exams for baby were not delayed. - Vaginal swab for cesarean birth was not done. Needless to say, I was so sad about this. Emily bought us dinner, took pictures & then left...since she can't do any sort of medical assistance there, she might as well be just any other visitor. She might as well just text us and act like a virtual doula because she was of no use to us at the hospital. After delivery my main concern was my baby's latch and breastfeeding. Emily sent me a "How to breastfeed" YouTube video the night of my delivery - like I will have the time to watch that?! I could have looked that up myself. These are all examples of her failing to show up for us. The first hours with my child are incredibly important! I needed immediate post partum care/ lactation assistance! Once you're in hospital care they hit you with "It's a liability!" Therefore their care cannot be provided. All their help are now deemed useless. If we fully understood this ' you're now under Hospital care caveat, that they can't intervene because it's all up to our doctors and nurses now, we wouldn't have hired WRM in the first place. When you complain about the lack of care/ services, get ready to be answered with...well technically it's in your contract so sorry. You're trying to cover with technicalities now? From a contract we unwittingly signed on an iPad for one minute on our way out the door. We had a TWO HOUR!! consultation with them, you'd think they'd take two minutes to go through the contract/ scope of services and limitations with you before taking your money. We tried setting up a meeting to discuss our experience multiple times in the course of 2 weeks, Not a single staff member from the WRM office returned our calls or bothered to get back to us. Again showing the lack of care for their paying clients. We're currently waiting on the status of this matter. I'll keep this review updated.

My husband is the smart fellow who had researched the history of birthing and knew a home birth would be right for us. But the first midwife we interviewed took a while to answer basic questions such as, "What complications would necessitate us leaving the house for the hospital?" When asked the same question above, Allyson immediately listed several instances. She even brought out a doll and a 3D model of the pelvic bones to demonstrate. That's my kind of professional! Direct, organized, and eager to share her knowledge. I knew Allyson would be the perfect midwife for me. Like most women, I did not experience any complications during the natural birth process. Allyson and her apprentice, Romina, expertly and lovingly guided us through 18 hours of labor in the peace and quiet of my downtown apartment. I was 36 at the time of delivery, which is considered high risk, but everything went as smooth as it could. Post birth experiences with Allyson were also invaluable. She is as concerned for the mother as much as the baby, which is a level of service unique to midwives. Allyson's post birth home visits are a luxury I wish every family could experience. My experience with Allyson has changed my perspective on medical care, in general. I feel much more empowered as a patient, and know what good care looks like. Allyson spent one hour, I repeat, one hour with me during every visit. This provides ample time for me to digest information and to ask questions. Unlike the OB I had visited previously, Allyson proactively provides the information you don't know you need. Through Allyson I have also learned about home remedies, herbs and more.

She involved my significant other in the entire pregnancy, made sure that my labs were normal, that my baby's labs were normal, that I had whatever kind of birth I wanted and even if on that day it had changed, it didn't matter. She had a ton of reading, audio and video materials to loan to mothers-to-be from her library. She also recommended classes that we could take to learn more about Lamaze, breathing technique, or breastfeeding. She had tips for how to cut baby's nails, how to get started on cloth diapers, and how to care for myself after the birth. I told her I didn't want an epidural and that I at first wanted a water birth. I ended up doing my prelabor in the bathtub then laboring on the bathroom floor in my own house. She was supportive of all the animal grunting sounds I was making and cheered me on. She gave me olive oil to rub on the baby's head, gave me fresh coconut juice when I needed rejuvenation, took some memorable pictures for me and my new family, counted his fingers, toes, took his measurements, had my significant other weigh the baby, and she even did the footprints. She was great with prenatal and postpartum care. She told me what diet I should be on, but also that I should just eat whatever I felt was right. She encouraged me to be me as much as I could be me during the pregnancy with respect to having a healthy pregnancy. She gave me suggestions during my seventh month as to what exercises I could do in the pool since the treadmill was starting to become too hard on my knees. Whenever she wanted to incorporate a teaching moment for other doulas or learning midwives, she would always ask for permission first. She respected me, my son, my significant other and our beliefs. She gave me lactation consultation and helped my son to latch on. She was great about scheduling if anything ever came up and fit me in even when she seemed like she couldn't. She was always reachable and was never more than a few hours away by phone or email. I am glad that I went with her versus going to a doctor or a hospital. Even when I had thought about having the birth in the hospital, she was still supportive of my decision and was ready to do the patient-transfer paperwork and then was supportive again when I decided that the hospital thing was not my cup of tea. For my hundredth review on Yelp, she's whom I'm writing about and Great Expectations Midwifery Care is what I care about. She did an awesome job and if I were to have other children in the future, I would definitely go back to her. I would recommend her to any of my friends and family.

I'm so unbelievably grateful for the entire midwifery services provided by Mother's Choice Midwifery from start to finish. From every prenatal appointment to labor/delivery to postpartum care, I was continually supported and guided through every stage of my prenatal and postnatal care. I'm so grateful for midwives that trust the birthing process and the woman's ability to birth her baby. During my 41st week of pregnany my baby must have flipped without me knowing because while in labor we learned that baby had gone breech! When Tiffanie arrived at my home, I was asked if I wanted to be checked and told prior to the exam that based on the meconium coming out that she believed baby was breech. To all of our surprise, my baby indeed had gone breech! Tiffanie let us know that if we went to a hospital it would be an immediate c-section. Ironically, she had just received even further training on breech births. We went over our options and any potential risks involved and my husband and I were left to privately discuss what we wanted to do. Because I was fully dilated and more importantly, Tiffanie's absolute confidence in my ability to birth my baby in the safety of my home we decided to stay home and I'm so unbelievably grateful we did! About an hour and a half after Tiffanie arrived and checked me, our perfect little breech baby girl was born!!! Such an amazing experience and testimony to God's perfect plan! I was grateful for my home births and I cared so much about Sherry and did my best to support her out of love, when her family faced a huge tragedy. We became friends, or so I thought. In Dec. 2023, she told me she received texts from a number that she didn't recognize, from someone who would not identify themselves. She asked me if I was sending the messages. I told her that I was definitely not the one sending them. In Jan. 2024, she told me she'd received an anonymous letter. I again told her that I had nothing to do with it. She clearly didn't believe me and blocked me on social media. She then started texting my husband. She sent him screenshots of her text conversations with unknown numbers. She told my husband that her daughter and students were receiving messages too. In one screenshot, the person texting identified themselves as "Chelsea". She saw this as evidence that the messages were from me. The messages in the screenshots were horrific, and full of obscenities. They were full of spelling and grammatical errors and said things that have never come out of my mouth, yet she was convinced they were from me. What came next presents a character issue that you may want to consider prior to hiring her. She told my husband I have postpartum depression and need therapy. She expressed sudden faux concern as my "care provider". This was an entire year after her role as my care provider concluded. With no evidence of any of the messages she received being from the actual me, she told my husband that she was going to get her attorney involved, as well as the police and CPS. She said that's because she's a mandated reporter. My husband told her to call the police and figure out who was sending the messages, as it was not me. She repeated her plan after I again explained that I had nothing to do with the messages she was receiving and I asked her to stop contacting us. I then called the police and filed a report to explain what I was being accused of and shared the messages she had been sending to my husband. The following day she called CPS, who had the police reach out to my husband and I, to ask if I wanted to harm myself or my children. I referred to my earlier report and they asked if I knew anything about her mental health status. Imagine for a moment that the care provider whom you trusted with your life and your children's lives at the time of their births, decides to report you to CPS with false accusations while using their professional role to try to bolster their baseless claim. Unprofessional is one word for it, gross is another. She then asked if we were at home as she wanted to bring us a "gift." She followed that with a screenshot of texts that included a selfie of herself, giving the middle finger, and a paragraph of words unbecoming of a care provider who cares primarily for women. Finally, she called my husband twice. He didn't answer and she left a voicemail. In her voicemail she identified herself, my husband and me by name and threatened to come over to our house and make me stop sending the messages she was accusing me of sending. Her final words to him were to "get control of your f-ing wife." I had blocked her and just recently realized that she had left me two voicemails a few hours prior to the one she left for my husband. In them, she was mockingly sweet and one said "Hey Chelsea, it's Sherry, your bestie. Why don't you give me a call when you can, I would love to hear from you, just wanna hear your sweet, sweet voice..." I'm glad she didn't show up to my house after threatening to, because my oldest kid loved her and wants to be a midwife someday. I didn't want my child's view of Sherry to be marred. Alas, one of the greatest benefits of hiring a midwife can be one of its greatest drawbacks as well. Your midwife gets to know your whole family. Consider this carefully, before you introduce your family to Sherry. I've never had someone call me a four-letter word that starts with c, ends with t, and is a vulgar way of referring to a woman. I guess she thinks she called me that. She sent a screenshot of the conversation she thought she was having with me. I don't know who she actually called that, but my guess is that he lives with her. This isn't about his choices. This is about her words and actions, which she is fully responsible for. I have reclaimed my birth stories in my memories, I was the powerful woman who birthed my babies, and my family was at the center of my births. I am grateful for what I learned from her, about humans like her. I do wish that I'd learned in a less painful way. She told me that everyone abandons her when she doesn't meet their expectations. I realize now what a convenient excuse this is. I hope she seeks healing for herself, so she stops hurting those she uses and controls.

From quality prenatal care, to a positive birth experience, to an abundance of postpartum support…read more(12 weeks!), Cassie should be your top choice when looking to hire a midwife. With a personal history of breech birth, I searched for someone who had the confidence and experience to safely deliver a breech baby at home. These skills are uncommon and incredibly hard to find! My first birth resulted in a cesarean and I desperately wanted to avoid a second hospital birth. This meant I was also a VBAC. No problem! Cassie's confidence and continued education on breech birth practice solidified my decision in hiring her, and in the end, she delivered (pun intended). We had a smooth, memorable home birth that my family will treasure forever. Cassie will support your birth plan, fears, postpartum healing, provide comforting guidance, and promptly answer your phonecalls. What more could you want? I can't recommend her enough.

I am so glad that we chose to work with Cassie at Motherhood Collective. The amount of knowledge,…read morepatience, and 24/7 customized care was more than I could have ever hoped for. This was our first child and my husband and I were so impressed with the personalized, detailed sessions. To be new parents with so many questions, Cassie made us feel more and more confident at every appointment as she prepared us for our home birth. We were also seeing an OBGYN in the first couple weeks of pregnancy and It was a night and day difference from how we were treated and cared for. We soon dropped our OBGYN because we found that Cassie provided everything we needed. When they came to our house to help me with my birth, Cassie and Jacinta made the most amazing team. Never wavered, never doubted me and always kept my wishes and preferences above all. I appreciate how they also gave room for my husband to perform his role as my coach and soother. I trusted them with all my heart, and I would do it again with no hesitation. They have my deepest gratitude and I will forever praise their work! I would 100% recommend to ANYONE who is having a baby.

Our family adores Jordan! She has been such blessing from the moment we met her. Once we found out…read morewe were expecting, we immediately began looking for doulas. I had intended to interview a few but as luck would have it, Jordan was our first interview. Her energy spoke volumes and everything we spoke about affirmed what I imagined my pregnancy and birth to be. My wife and I hadn't even made it home before we decided we wanted to proceed with Jordan. She was such great support throughout my pregnancy and as a first time mom, her childbirth education course made me feel ready (or as ready as you can be) and empowered for an unmedicated birth center birth. From day one, Jordan made it a point to get to know my wife and I so that she could really support us collectively and individually on this journey. She was a calming voice during labor and delivery and went above and beyond afterwards to make sure we felt supported and cared for. She has a plethora of knowledge and resources that can help you with whatever you may need. When my son had trouble latching she connected me with an incredible IBCLC who completely transformed my breastfeeding journey. We are 6 months into this journey and thriving. After our son was born, Jordan continued as our postpartum doula. She's amazing - from holding him and giving us a break so we could take a nap to washing dishes and folding newborn laundry - Jordan continued making us feel supported and cared for. She was also a listening ear whenever I felt overwhelmed or just wanted to talk about all the new things I was experiencing. 5 stars is not enough. I can't recommend Jordan and her services enough. She deeply cares about her clients and it is evident not only in what she does, but how she does it. If you are looking for a doula, she is THE ONE!

We appreciated that she took the time to really get to know my partner and myself through out the process. She took the time to get know our needs and and helped us set up a birth plan we were comfortable with. She was very supportive of all our decisions and provided resources in order to help us reach an informed decision in areas where we had questions. We decided to take her full workshop, where we gained all the information we could need for the birthing process, pregnancy, postpartum care, and basic child care information. We felt well prepared for labor and any obstacles that could come our way. We loved the movement classes and the partner communication sessions of the course. The course helped us really get on the same page about many aspects of this journey. Her prenatal yoga class is also very relaxing and beneficial. I felt so much more relaxed after the session and plan on going for more for my postpartum care. Jordan was there for us throughout the very long labor and all the obstacles that came with it. She was supportive and tried to make the situation as comfortable for us as possible. She helped manage emotions and provided more information as we had to make in the moment decisions. After our beautiful baby boy was born, Jordan was there to help me get the baby to latch, make me comfortable, and help with minor details with the nurses. She checked in regularly once we were home and was a huge help during our postpartum care visit. We truly recommend Jordan to anyone looking for a support during their pregnancy. As first time parents we were so nervous of everything that was coming our way. After our classes, meetings and just getting to know Jordan, we felt so much better and prepared. I knew I had a friend I could call at anytime. And I took advantage of that a couple times. We plan to hire her for any future children we may have.

Her knowledge and confidence were so reassuring throughout my entire pregnancy and especially during my home birth. One of the things that meant the most to me was how intentional she was about including my older kids. She made them feel involved, comfortable, and excited during prenatal visits and even during the birth itself. That level of kindness and awareness is something I will never forget--it truly made the experience feel like a special family moment. During labor, she brought such a calm, steady presence. She created a peaceful environment and knew exactly when to offer guidance and when to give me space. I felt empowered, respected, and deeply cared for every step of the way. I am so grateful for Cassie and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone considering a home birth. She is truly amazing at what she does. She's also just such a fun girly to be around and made my appointments something our whole family looked forward to :) We love you Cassie!
