They worked on different sections of our house and separated them in such way that we didn't have to leave our house and we were never inconvenienced. They truly know what they are doing. They did my kitchen addition and first floor renovation and every day that I get home from work I have a smile on my face, seeing the quality of the construction that was done. Finish work was fantastic and I couldn't be happier. Remember that when you go into a home construction project it is not HGTV, where a complete house is built in one hour. Sitting through any construction project is stressful, but these guys were great.

It turned out I hired a typical construction contractor that you should avoid at all costs. I learned the hard way that Gary Courtier DID NOT close three of the five permits they opened for the project. Up on my contacting the company I was told the best they can do is to give them the number of new subcontractor they now use so I can get the work done to pass the inspections at my own cost. I don't know how they were able to get the final inspection scheduled without first passing the 3 related permits passed/inspected.

When my husband and I first started discussing expanding our house in 2020 we were not sure who to contact. I saw a number of houses in our neighborhood with. Murphy Construction sign so decided to give a call. Skip called me back within 24 hours and was over a few days later to speak about what we would like done. He was very honest in terms of the cost of the extension as well as the time frame on when he could start work (we expected a wait time since everyone is redoing their house right now!). He was true to his word on both which we were very thankful for. We we're also extremely thankful that Skip and team were understanding when we said we had a baby on the way to ensure everything was done prior to his arrival (which it was - HUGE THANK YOU!). In terms of work, Skip, Marvin and his team demolished our sunroom and previous bathroom and added on a new hallway, linen closets, bathroom, additional bedroom and family room. They also redid our floors upstairs, finished the attic, provided new windows in a previous bedroom, installed wall air conditioners in 4 rooms and created a covered patio area outside off of our new family room. Our smallish 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house has truly been transformed into something we couldn't imagine. We are beyond happy with the way everything turned out and could not be more thankful. The whole team was extremely courteous, kind and responsive. My husband and I both work from home so we literally were around to watch the house transform around us. The team showed up diligently on time, every single day and quickly and efficiently worked to get the job done with a few short months. We even made some changes as work was progressing and they were more than accommodating to ensure the job was done to our liking and to what we wanted. Laura, one of Skips office managers was also wonderful in ensuring any extras we added on our changes were relayed to Skip and team. Overall, the whole process was seamless and we fully recommend them to anyone who is looking to remodel. All of the sub-contractors (plumber, electrician, tile, floor, foundation, etc) they used were also truly wonderful so it was comforting to know that we had people we could trust at our house. We will definitely be using Murphy construction in the future when it comes time to redo our kitchen :) To say we're beyond happy is an understatement !!

(I can't remember their names right now, so I'll leave them out for now) The first time I stopped in, I spoke with someone about Fypon molding. He spent a pretty long time with me and gave me a very detailed quote and several weeks later we ordered them. Since two pieces were very long, we had them delivered. Very satisfied. Eventually we ordered many cabinet handles, shutters, house numbers, crown molding , colonial window trim, Sheetrock, plywood and Azek beadboard molding. Much of that was also delivered. Still very satisfied. Here, I feel like if I ask a question, and the guy I'm asking isn't 100% sure, he's not going to BS me, he'll ask someone else. That's great service. Overall, their prices are pretty decent, too. I highly recommend them. And I hope I remember their names so I can go back and edit this.

They worked around Decembers rain and snow and frigid temps to get the repair completed before Christmas. After the snow melted in March we discovered a 1 foot drop in the soil they had fill back into our 8 foot hole. And the membrane had separated. They were very prompt in fixing it to perfection. Probably one of the best service companies I have ever dealt with! Thank you Tom!

Their sales system was basically providing the offer of a "low cost" chimney cleaning, as a segue for more upsells. Since then, they've CONSTANTLY pestered me year after year with sales calls / offers for chimney cleaning since they are "in my area." I've asked them again and again to REMOVE my number from their list - but they won't listen, so I've reported them now to the FTC since my number is on the DO NOT CALL list. Sorry, but any contractor worth his salt is always busy and doesn't need to drum up business (Hint: I manage 7 doors locally and over 40+ units now / over 100+ at the height of my holdings - every great pro I know is booked weeks / months out). Exercise EXTREME CAUTION taking any of these 'professionals' advice / services. **UPDATE: They called me again today Aug 22, 2022 - so I will be seeking counsel for further action since this is a clear violation **
