I can't say enough good things about Pamela. She's an awesome trainer, but what really stands out…read moreto me is just how knowledgeable she is - not only about lifting and strength training, but also nutrition, hydration, recovery, female-specific health, injuries, and how all of those things work together. I came into training with pretty limited knowledge about fitness and, honestly, not a great understanding of my own body either. Pamela has an amazing ability to take something that feels complicated and explain it in a way that actually makes sense. She doesn't just tell me what exercise to do - she explains why we're doing it, what muscles we're working, how it connects to an injury or weakness, and what I should be paying attention to. I've learned so much from her along the way. When I first started, I was dealing with chronic back pain and was pretty nervous about lifting weights. I had this idea that I needed to wait until my back was completely pain-free before I could really start getting fit. The problem was, that day never came. Pamela helped me realize that I didn't have to wait. She worked around my limitations, adjusted things when something didn't feel right, and gradually helped me build strength without making me feel afraid of hurting myself. That ended up changing so much for me. My back is much stronger now, and what used to feel like an ongoing chronic issue no longer controls what I can do. More importantly, I trust my body a lot more than I used to. One of the best and most unexpected results has been getting back into tennis. I love tennis, but because of my back, I had started to think it might be something I just wouldn't be able to seriously enjoy anymore. Getting stronger gave me the confidence and physical foundation to start playing again, and now I'm actively taking tennis classes and working on leveling up my game. I'm really grateful to Pamela because she didn't just get me stronger - she changed the way I understand fitness and my own body. She helped put me on a completely different trajectory, and I'm doing things now that I honestly didn't think would be possible when I first started working with her. I highly recommend her, especially if you want a trainer who really knows her stuff and can explain the "why" behind what you're doing in a way that actually makes sense.

She knows how to push you just enough to keep you challenged/sustainable without making it feel overwhelming. I can confidently say I feel so much stronger and way more comfortable in the gym now than I did before working with her. What I didn't expect was how much I would learn outside of the workouts. She taught me so much about nutrition and how to fuel my body. We also finished every session with an amazing stretch (honestly, it felt like a mini massage), which made such a difference and helped me take better care of my body overall. I really can't recommend Pamela enough. She's incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely wants to help you succeed.

A few months…read moreago, when I found out I was chosen to compete in Donald Trump's Miss California USA pageant, I came straight back to Sergio! It is no small feat to get a body ready to walk on a stage in a swimsuit in front of hundreds of people and TV cameras, and some of the MOST critical judges, but Sergio welcomed it confidently. Sergio asks the right questions in order to perfectly understand your goals, and what you want to look like/feel like ultimately. For me, I wanted to be lean and toned. Results? I am now a size 0, and more toned than I've ever been- not to mention more stamina than ever. AND I still have 2 more months to perfect things before my pageant! Each training session is different and geared specifically toward you and what you want to achieve. For example, Sergio introduced me to boxing which I LOVE, so he adds that in at the end of my workout for some condensed cardio. If we start doing a specific exercise and it doesn't feel right to me, he will immediately substitute something better so that each exercise is productive. Just 2 months later and I have met all of my major goals by dropping fat, and gaining muscle tone. All of my measurements have decreased, as well as my weight and body fat percentage. I have referred several friends to him and they all had positive experiences as well. I can not recommend Sergio enough! He knows what he is doing and I have personally seen the results to back it up. If you have found him, YOU are the lucky one!! =)

I was following YouTube exercises and not getting the results and sometimes getting injured. At Leap Fitness they did a very detailed assessment of my strength, stability, and also Lifestyle factors. But most importantly I never get injured and I have much more awareness of my body. I can't thank Ronan and Jazmin enough for their Coaching and support. In addition to the work out there are some other characteristics about this studio that make it really special: 1. This is as close to personal training as you'll get. With a max of 4 people in each class, the instructor walks you through each motion so that you maximize your workout. 2. Both the instructors and the attendees are some of the kindest, coolest, skilled people I have met so far in Cali. 3. They don't push you to buy packages. You naturally want to buy more. 4. And on top of that, I was in denial about my myriad of health problems. I was hell-bent on competing on the National stage immediately, regardless of my health issues. A few weeks into our competition programming, I was coming apart at the seams. With my health and my life unraveling, Alex helped me see the light and shift my focus away from aesthetics and back toward getting my health under control. Alex is the complete package in a Health Coach. She is level headed and calm (something I need as a super high-strung person) while amazingly constructive, motivating and inspiring. Her focus is always on the big picture of HEALTH. She thoroughly evaluates her clients to determine what they need most, and creates a realistic, functional plan around that. Her integrative coaching method is what makes her outstanding: she coaches around mindset, nutrition and training. That triple threat approach makes big life changes stick. She has encouraged me to reevaluate my goals in order to appropriately prioritize health. She keeps me honest when I to lie to myself about what's working and what isn't. She keeps me sane when negative self-talk seems all consuming. And most importantly, she keeps me healthy, so I can continue to live my life and enjoy every moment! After 6 months of coaching with Alex, I'm almost ready to step on stage again. She has taught me to be patient with progress, how to listen to and learn from my body, and how to be proactive (as opposed to reactive) about managing my health. She has fused my health and aesthetic goals into one holistic training plan. Whatever your goals, if you need a coach, Alex is your girl! This sweet, smart, and energetic lady brought to me an understanding of health and fitness that I had not encountered before. The last 60 lbs came off in 9 months, and in that time, I also was able to rid myself of arthritis, thyroid, and depression medications. Alex listened to my concerns and helped me design a nutrition and movement program that was just right for me. She does not have a cookie cutter approach, but modifies as necessary to help each client achieve their specific goals for their unique self. Further, she places great importance on overall health, not just a number on a scale. I found myself spending far less time in the gym than ever before, but doing very targeted and USEFUL work there. This was valuable to me as a PhD research scientist for a large company, because my spare time is limited. Additionally, we were able to use foods that I enjoyed and that fit my lifestyle to achieve my nutrition goals. Being able to eat foods that provide a psychological benefit to me, and well as a nutrient and fat burning benefit was a big game changer. My personal experience with Alex was as a "fat girl". Really - fat! But I know that she has had much success working with other types of individuals as well - athletes, body builders, and figure competitors, to name a few. This variety of people who have had success working with her is a true testament to her skills. I've continued to work with Alex over the last two years on a modified consulting basis. She has coached me on how to keep the weight off, and it has been effortless. Seek her out. Talk with her. Hear her plan for you. You will not be disappointed.

Mike, Jen, and Danni are all fantastic...I wouldn't get out of bed that early for anyone else. :) Class size is pretty small, usually between 4-6 people, so you've always got someone checking your form and keeping you moving. Finally, the biggest reason I love this place: You don't have to think about anything. You just show up ready to work. The workouts are structured throughout the week/month so that while they're always TOUGH, they never get repetitive or boring. When you're going to a large chain gym, you're probably following some plan from the internet...and you've got no one to hold you accountable or alter the plan if you need something different. Here, you've got someone planning your workouts based on what the last one was and what the next one will be. You'll push a weighted sled down Lombard on Monday, Tuesday doing core work, and Wednesday will be tons of rowing...it's a blast. You'll struggle with a particular exercise one day, then not do it for a month and crush it the next go-around. This place is the best. I can't imagine going to another gym.
