We had blockage at rear bathroom. they came and supposedly routed out. we had problem again less that a week later and they told us it would be another $900 and not guarantee. Seems as if they could have made some effort to check and make sure the first time or at least offer some alternative. Just- sorry -seems like it is plugged again. read more

I've dealt with Babes previously and most, not all, were decent experiences. Unfortunately my last experience with a younger employee named Brian was the worst. He was rude, condescending, and arrogant. His terrible attitude and insulting remarks were the nail in the coffin for Babes and I will not use them anymore because of this one person. When you overcharge me, come to the house, do your job, be pleasant and leave. Do not make snide, backhanded insulting comments, just shut your mouth and do your job. Babe's needs to read this and re-evaluate whether this employee's attitude is worth losing customers over. read more

We have used Babes in the past at least twice. This week we called them to repair or replace the main water shut off valve and the hose bib. The guys were here for about 75 minutes for both repairs. The total cost was $600. The main shut off was $357 and the bib was $243. Our HOA was paying for the main and was rattled by the charge and called the office to try to get a fair reduction, but nothing doing. To add insult to injury we had s bad toilet that needed replacement. The repairman said they could do it for a whopping $1000 with $700 for parts and $300 installation. Are these people serious?? I don't doubt this company does good work but their motto of good work isn't cheap and cheap work isn't good has gone too far.Good or bad we cannot afford their rates anymore. Good luck to them but please folks shop around if you want to save money. Ps we bought a new toilet for $200 and installation was $100. Works great!! read more

We had a tricky situation at our house , kitchen drain backing up. Babes sent out two technicians on a Saturday morning, and they did not give up until they located the problem. We had an immediate need for a plumber, we could not shut the water off on a tub. We called Babe's at 1:30PM, they said they would do their best to get to our home before 4:00PM otherwise it would be considered emergency service. They arrived at 3:50PM, the 2 service guys, Tony and , Brian L were super polite, explained what we needed and repaired the issue within 40 minutes. The price was very fair and the service outstanding. They cleaned everything up before they left. We definitely recommend and will use them again. read more

When he arrived, he told me he'd listened to the entire phone call, so he knew exactly what was going on with my kitchen disposal. I think they're very high priced. The quotes I've received from them have been much higher than estimates I've received from other companies. I just had my drain line cleaned out today by an ethical company. They charged me 425.00 for their service. Babes wanted 1100. for the same service! Don't use this company!! read more

Of course things happen on Saturday but both of our toilets would not flush! Called Babes and got a very quick response, plumbers were there within an hour,told us the problem and gave us a price before working.Fixed our issue promtly and the charge was reasonable for a emergency service. i paid for the service but Babes was not able to locate the meter to do backflow. called another company who performed a backflow test without any problem. the ither company located underground meter that also allowed to be used by the city. my money never been returned. I called Babes to unclog my drain from the washer to outside. He snaked for three hours, 535.00. 235 first hour, 150 each additional hour. He thought take an hour. I said ok. He said there was roots in drain. I asked him for bigger snake and a cutter tool for snake. Didn't have one to fit. I asked him to try from the trap putt but didn't even open it to try. I called Kendall Plumbing yesterday and came on time today. Two men and an apprentice. 120 first hour, each additional 80. Unclogged with larger snake with cutter tool fro outside only. Took 15 mins of snaking. I will not recommend Babes to anyone. I live in a community of 1300+residents . I called Babes after man left and she said no guarantees. . read more

I had Babe's plumbing replace a water heater exactly like the one they installed 4 years 8 months ago. It was under warranty from Rheem. No charge for the tank. It involved cutting 2 plastic 1inch and reinstalling a 1 inch drain pipe and a relief valve on top. They will not itemize the bill. For this at the top $150 . They charged me $746. read more

Good communications with the office, the plumbers arrived at the appointed time, had all the parts they needed on their truck, and got all the work done to install new plumbing fixtures, valves, and lines and completely clear the plumbing backup in all lines, at 1/3 Babe's cost. read more

Tony the plumber was on time & courteous. He had several tasks that I asked for him accomplish. One such task, was rebuilding a valve under the toilet, which he finished in 5 min. It wasn't until a few days later when I asked for a breakdown in the bill, that I saw that I was charged $150. Very disappointed. read more

Absolutely the most expensive company I have ever used for plumbing in 50 years. Had Rheem 40 gallon water heater replaced and at Home Depot they run between $700-$800 plus installation. I was charged $1768.00. A thousand dollars to install it??(: Also left a water alarm for $37.80 and didn't ask me. They are $12.00 on amazon. Charged $247.50 to change a 25 amp fuse to a 20 amp fuse. Took the electrician 15 minutes. FINALLY put in minor rebuild kit in toilet tank for $147.42. The kits cost about $30-$40 at any hardware. AND coming back second time to fit the flapper because toilet still leaks. BEWARE. read more

Arrived timely and professional. But overcharged big time. 640 dollars to run take off 2 toilets and run a line. 3 hrs, no parts and use of their line to clear pipes. Told me about 500 and I had to leave. Charged my wife 640 Called and no reply back to my complaint. Flo-tech out of North Port came and fixed the real problem for 210. I couldn't find a replacement for my bathtub spout at the Home Depot and Lowe's, or Ace Hardware stores. Where do you even start on Amazon? A helpful person at Kile's Ace Hardware suggested checking with Babe's. I went to their place off of Laurel Road east of I75. While this isn't the typical retail shop for DIYers, they were very knowledgeable, accommodating, and found the perfect replacement part. It was not in stock but didn't take long to get. Poor service by techs who were clueless about how to resolve the problem with the gas water heater. I was charged $199 for nothing except to flush the tank. After complaining to the person answering the phone they sent a second tech who was not any better. Both were lazy and all they had to do was call Rheem to resolve problem. A call to another plumber resolved the problem and I was correctly left out of the middle. If I could give them a zero rating if I could. read more

Very dissatisfied. Had a gentleman from Babes come in to snake my bathroom drain. He did arrive on time and cleaned up after himself for the most part. I let him do his thing. After about an hour of work he told me the issue was fixed. The next day the drain was clogged up again. Issue not fixed! Called them up and told them what they did did not fix the issue. They would not come back without another charge. Ended up getting another service. The gentleman did it right and at a much cheaper price( just over 20% less) for the same job. Haven't had an issue since. I WOULD NOT recommend Babes Plumbing for this job after this one instance. You can find better service for a cheaper price somewhere else. read more

I am so happy to have called this place for a clogged drain. Not only did the technician (plumber) called Craig arrive at the exact appointment time (a real rarity in Florida), but he did a great job in repairing and unclogging what needed to be done. Since my house was built in 1981 it's surprising that I have not needed more replacements, but this time one of my sinks drain system was rusted out underneath and caused a problem. Craig got the required replacement, installed everything and I was extremely satisfied with his work ethic. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!! read more
