    Tri tip sandwich
    Dan A.

As good as it gets. I hope they open a brick n mortar store soon. For now though, they are using a shared kitchen space and a to go spot only. Good quality, flavorful sandwiches.

    Trip tip sandwich YUM! Delicious.

Wow that tri tip is absolutely delicious- perfectly cooked, very flavorful and everything was cooked fresh. We enjoyed watching Pilates of the Caribbean while we waited for our beautiful fresh food. This place has such a homey feel. Malek was incredibly friendly and hospitable. We enjoyed getting to know him. The juice place there was a nice treat. Thanks! We can't wait to come back! :)

Very easy to read and understand!! Wish I had pictures of my daughters tri tip sandwiches but they never gave me a chance

Always hard to find a good BBQ joint when not In the south. Let me tell you about this hidden gem!!! Small business but Big time service and mouth watering food. I swear my daughters didn't even chew lol . It was two deep breaths and their tri tip sandwiches were gone. Flavor was just right portion was extremely generous just as I was told by the many people whom ate there multiple times. Tri tip is smoked fresh every day and all the meat is halal #1 . Best tri tip sandwich west of the Mississippi.

The tri-tip fries weren't bad but, again, very little meat.

He said the order would be :15-:20. Once we paid he said it would be :30. It took :51. We understand he's working alone and there was one person in front of us, but that was frustrating since we still had to drive all the way home before we could eat. Take out only. But the most unfortunate part was that it was not the best tri-tip. We all got tri-tip - fries, tacos, plate and sandwich. All were too salty. Only three of the sides were available out of six. Also, there is no option for meat only. Two of us didn't want any sides. No discount. It's $7.50 for mozzarella sticks but he won't take $1 off if we don't get them. Lastly, portions were rather small for the price. He should've put the "plate" in a smaller container. I rarely give negative reviews because everyone has an off day, but it felt deeper than that here.

    Sandwich was so burnt.

We really wanted to love this place because good barbecue places are hard to find, but the sandwich was so burnt even the tri-tip tasted burnt. Maybe it was just a one off or a bad day, but still super disappointing when you're so excited to try a new place. We couldn't even eat the sandwich because it was so bad, we had to throw it away. It also took a pretty long time and seemed unorganized. But like I said maybe we just caught em on a bad day.

    Tri-Tip Sandwich yum!!

What a hidden gem! We had the tri tip sandwich and everything was delicious - the meat, the fries and even the bun. Great pricing too. It can be hard to find but we found out it's in the prep kitchen so mostly food to go with limited seating. They also had mashed potatoes and gravy which was also sublime. Highly recommend this family owned business!

Baba's BBQ is that hidden gem spot where the portions are legitimately huge -- you will not leave hungry, trust me. I went in expecting solid BBQ, but the tri-tip blew me away. It's smoked perfectly, super tender and juicy, with that classic California tri-tip flavor. Pair it with their chimichurri, and it's next-level -- fresh, herby, garlicky. I could eat that combo every day. The vibe inside is super homey and welcoming -- nothing fancy, just cozy, laid-back, and feels like you're eating at a friend's place. Shoutout to the owner Malik -- he's genuinely one of the nicest guys running a spot like this. Super friendly, chats with everyone, and you can tell he takes pride in what he's putting out. Also try the Bang Bang sauce!

On a Saturday night after 10PM, it was a good meal and more filling than one would imagine for street tacos not sold by a street vendor. Very flavorful for a brick and mortar shop! I have to thank whoever brotha was working that night (had tattoos). The 7-Eleven next door is very rude in terms of who can park near their shop and oddly have been "allowed" by whoever to designate one singular parking spot as their own (with barely visible, small printed white paint on the ground saying "7-11 Only"). As me and my friends had planned to dine-in, the brotha at Nikos came out and asked, seemingly quite flustered, if I could move my car. He was clear it was not him asking, but due to 7-Eleven and also offered a free soda to apologize for any inconvenience as me and my party had then decided to just order take out instead (there was no other parking). As I was about to move my car, one of the workers from 7-Eleven had came outside which, once again, the brotha working at Nikos told him that I was "okay" and was moving my car. Whoever is instructing their 7-Eleven employees to be bouncers of their storefront parking needs to do better...especially when people were parked outside your store eating in their cars saying, "These are the best quesadillas I've ever had." Needless to say, Nikos Tacos=5 Stars 7-Eleven Next Door=1 Star. I'll plan to go back to Nikos if able to in the near future. Especially since it seemed like such great energy on the inside.

So glad we did! Their zip tacos are on another level! With food prices being high every day, a $5 taco often disappoints, nut not at Nikos they are worth every discontinued penny, crispy, cheese everywhere, and packed with meat. And now that it's a better location for us we are going to add this to our rotation. Also this is a night and day location change, the one is west sac was a little rough, it added to the ambiance but seemed a little sketchy. This new spot is bright and clean, only thing I would change is to have free chips and salsa, that's a big deciding factor for a lot of people

We didn't come there for that and i think it'll be a long time before I go back. I love the food, but allowing these peddlers to annoy and abuse me customers is not okay. Let's just say it make sense why the lot is full. The service was beyond reproach. Our server was attentive and detail oriented and never felt us feeling ignored. I couldn't see the bottom of the complimentary chips and salsa and the food came out hot and delicious. The three meat molcajete with traditional salsa verde (a family recipe according to the menu), pinto beans, radish, freshly roasted jalapeño, green onions, and sautéed cactus. Topped with Monterey Jack, Cotija, and Panela cheese was the star of the show. You assemble everything in a nice flour tortilla and you are in for a delectable and savory treat. The portion sizes are generous and the price point given the amount of food is also very attractive. We shared the molcajete and had plenty leftover for lunch the next day. I always wondered why the parking lot was so full but I longer have to wonder and I'll be contributing to the busy traffic in the parking lot because I'll be back for another round of molcajete.
