This review is for Primary Care.
I truly need to speak up because I am extremely disappointed with how this office has changed. I have been a loyal patient of Dr. Farham for many years, and ever since Norma left the La Puente location, the quality of service has gone downhill in a shocking way.
The phone is never answered anymore--everything goes straight to voicemail. No one calls back. No updates. No follow-ups about appointments, referrals, or approval results. Patients are completely left in the dark.
My biggest frustration is with Fatimah. I understand she is busy and doing everything alone, but the level of neglect is unbelievable.
I came in for my yearly blood test and an OB-Gyn referral. After the appointment, the doctor told me to schedule a follow-up. When Norma was here, she always handled this immediately and treated patients with respect and order.
But Fatimah told me to call her. For what? She never answers. The phone ALWAYS goes to voicemail. What is the point of giving patients an extension number if no one ever picks up?
When I call, someone on the first floor picks up only to tell me to leave a voicemail. Then I wait...and wait...and most of the time, there is no call back at all.
Fatimah promised she would call me when my approval letter arrived. She never did.
She told me my paperwork would be ready for pickup. It wasn't.
Every step has been stressful, frustrating, and completely unprofessional.
At this point, it honestly feels like she doesn't want to deal with patients. And that is heartbreaking, because we depend on this office for our health.
To be fair, Dr. Thomas Farham is wonderful--caring, professional, and genuinely attentive. He is the only reason I stayed as long as I did. Unfortunately, he is only at this location once a week.
My experience with Dr. Ekhator, however, was the opposite. Instead of showing compassion, he told me that if I didn't like the service, I could go find another doctor. That alone was enough for me to decide to leave.
So here is my honest review:
This office used to run beautifully when Norma was here. She cared, she followed up, she treated patients like human beings.
Since she left, everything has become chaotic, unprofessional, and deeply frustrating. Patients deserve basic communication, compassion, and respect--and right now, this office is not providing that.
I sincerely hope they bring Norma back or hire someone capable of supporting Fatimah, because patients should NEVER have to beg for care or chase the office for answers. read more
