Took the kids for dinner here this evening after strolling past a few times and eyeing off the wonderful specials board during closed hours. Exceptional warm, friendly, unobtrusive, unpretentious and attentive service from the entire team, including being incredible with two small raucous boys, beautiful ambience, and some of the most amazing flavours and aromas we've experienced in a very long time. The kitchen smelled absolutely fantastic the entire evening - so much so that we wanted to order everything that passed by on plates. Lucky we didn't - the servings were so substantial that we couldn't do all our dishes justice!
Sampled: special cocktail (vodka, mint, ginger and pickled chili), red sangria (flavoured beautifully with blueberries and other mystery elements), lime 43 cocktail, a couple of wisely recommended beers from the import menu, kids fish meals, a special tapas dish of fried goats cheese, tapas meatballs, the flank steak and the special fish main (barramundi with a warm pea and mint salad).
Every single thing was sublime - the meatballs were not quite our cup of tea but were delicious nonetheless. Each of the other menu items we tried were simply perfect and included unexpected but wonderful flavours.
Can't recommend highly enough - wise to book during the holidays or busy times as this place is justifiably popular. And if the waitstaff recommend anything, trust them and try it (including the advice to share some dishes rather than trying to conquer them solo). read more
