I have eyebrows! after many years not knowing what to do and watching them get unruly and thinner, I went to b.suite and booked an appointment with Elnaz. we hit it off, and I felt she really understood what I wanted and needed and what my concerns were. she was very patient explaining her procedures and what she was doing. I came to B.Suite salon after seeing several beautiful balayages on their Instagram. I have been colouring my hair blonde for years and have spent a lot of money to keep it long and healthy. When I came for a consultation a week ago, I was looking to touch up my outgrown balayage - it was a beautiful even blonde but I was do for a touch-up. I explained I needed someone more senior because I felt that when you're dealing with a touch-up it requires more skill than doing colour on virgin hair. They assured me that Georgia was great and just who I needed. I came in for a consultation and Georgia spoke very confidently about what she would do. We agreed that she would do a full head of highlights, would soften the balayage so it would grow out nicely and she'd lighten a few pieces around my face which were a tad darker. I felt confident she knew what she was doing. Fast forward to my appointment - she started in the back so I couldn't see what she was doing but when she got to the sides I saw that she was covering my hair from root to tip. I immediately asked her why she was doing that - I was pretty concerned - there was zero reason to do that - it was all a beautiful even blonde. She assured me that it was a very low peroxide and wasn't going to do any damage. 3 hours later she's blow-drying my hair and I take a look and it's AWFUL. My once beautiful even blonde is now a streaky mess - with the hair she had put the peroxide mix on a disgusting greyish white colour and the untouched hair looking brown in contrast. She talked to me like I was an idiot, telling me that's what highlights look like... I was freaking out! So she says lets put a different toner on it and reassess. Another 45 minutes later we blow dry a bit and its still awful. Now the bleached hair is a duller shade of what I started with and the untouched hair has turned a brassy colour. Might I add she also "cut" my hair - this haircut took a total of 2 minutes and had zero finesse or skill. Anyway, they got the owner Marco, and he actually wanted to charge me for the cut. I told him she ruined my hair that I've spent YEARS growing and taking care of and he just said "Well it doesn't look terrible." DOESN'T LOOK TERRIBLE????!!!!! Are you KIDDING ME?!!!!!! I told him I'm going to have to go get it colour corrected now and he said he didn't think I would ever be happy and therefore didn't offer to fix it or pay for my colour correct. I had my hair low-lighted here and I knew nearly nothing. The stylist helped tremendously with my learning curve and the low lights were really great. When I go in for just a cut, the stylists are always patient about my "please never say this to a stylist" comments ... my worst line being "I don't know how to say what I want!" I should add, I am kind of a last-minute-booker. This is why I'm not reviewing a particular stylist. I have my favourite who I try to book within the tiny window I usually have, but I have had cuts from three different stylists and low lights from yet another one. So far so good :) read more

I got a coupon here :) $30 for women's cut, wash, dry, and style by Monique. SOO... to book correctly.. you have to request for Monique, which I didn't because the voucher didn't say so. Screw up #1! I also drove there, so I got pretty lost haha. I was late for 1h30 (at Parlour, I was late for 40min). Screw up #2!! tsk tsk me There are two parking spots available in front of B.Suite, FREE. I parked elsewhere, 1min run, and paid. Screw up #3 ANYWAYYY, so Monique was SO kind. I was late, but she was sooooo nice about it. So wonderful. She listened to me really well: 1) I'm studying business, so my hair can't be too funky as employers want none of that. She picked up that I wanted to go a little edgier from our conversations (I didn't mention that at all!). So she was able to add nice layers, plus a bit of conservatism, and it looked gooodddd 2) I have two green peekaboo's (yes, I'm in business haha! But I hide this by tying my hair up), and they grew (from 10 months ago) so they're so obviously sticking out that they look cheap. After layering, the peekaboo's are back inside, and they are now really nice green highlights :) I thought she made it look amazing. 3) My bangs are TERRIBLE... always in the way and loongg.... she fixed that and added edgyness to it! CONCLUSION: I tipped her $20. She is amazing, I will pay the normal price $70 for her. p.s. in the middle of my cut, she pointed out that I could park in front of the shop, so I had to run out to get the car when my parking time expired :p read more

I came here to get a colour correction done. Blonde to red hair. I forget the name of the stylist I had, but she was very nice and knowledgeable. She helped my pick out a nice shade of red (a mix between a warm and cool tone). She put the first coat on and my hair looked nuts!! She promised me that with the second coat my hair would look better. Of course she was right. I absolutely loved the colour of my hair when I left. It faded really nicely. I don't live in the area anymore, so it's not easy to get to. But I would definitely return if I had the chance. :) read more

This is the best hair salon I have been to, and I am comparing this to Yorkville hair salons. I have been coming here for years, and so has my fiance, and never thought to write a review. Recently I got extensions, looks completely natural and was 200 bucks less than she quoted. They not only do the best job on hair, but also have great music, cool people, excellent pricing (shocking really!), and offer coffee or even beer! New to Toronto, and it's the first time I've trusted anybody with a pair of shears near my head in 5 months. I sat down with Marco, who was super-friendly and down to Earth... He came up with a cut that was very professional, but nicely choppy and fun, considering I usually go for something a little more "Rock Star" and "out there". I have never had a hairstyle like this before but I must say that I am actually very impressed with the cut, and it's a very welcomed change! However, I would rather have the cut I wanted, instead of being sold on an idea for a haircut that I'm not happy with a few weeks later, so I took a star away. I've been going to B.Suite for over a year. Their location was what brought me in, but their fun and relaxed atmosphere is what keeps me coming back. As long as I'm in Toronto, I'll keep coming back to B.Suite for the cuts, the colour (I've had mine coloured three times already), and the pro advice. I have seen a lot of different stylist over the years and typically have 2 issues with most. 1) they never listen to me, 2) they never give me advice on what would look better on me. Deniz is one of the best stylist I have ever seen in my life, I got a color correction and balayage done by her and I have never LOVED my hair more. She is amazing at what she does, she listens and advises you on what you can and can't do with your hair and the end result is just phenomenal. You will not be sorry going to this salon! read more

I found B Suite on Groupon, and have continued with Monique. She gives great hair! On my last cut, she suggested chopping off 5 inches to change things up a bit & I went for it. Met Marco at a friend's social event and he told me about his place. I had let my hair go a long time without a cut so getting me back into the chair wasn't easy. Wasn't disappointed in the least with my choice, Marco and the people at B. Suite know what they're doing. My hair feels amazing and he showed me tons of stuff I can do to keep it looking good without spending money on product. Definitely coming to them next time I get a cut. read more

Revised 10/31/18: Jackie (the salon manager) contacted me to try to resolve this issue, and offered to have my hair redone free of charge, either with China or another stylist. She was really nice and thorough, and I truly appreciate it. However, after discussing what they think could be achieved, I just didn't feel 100% confident so I was offered partial reimbursement. Original post: I was so excited to get my hair done with China. Had a consultation with her, showed her a bunch of photos and discussed my hair history. She seemed super confident that she would achieve the blended blonde bayalage I was looking for. I've had my hair blonde from natural black for several years and it's always been professionally done so there was no major job required - it was just very grown out. I left with streaks which she said would fade and my hair was darker than when I left. When I put my hair up, it looks basically black; pretty sure she only did partial highlights because so many pieces are untouched. There's bleeding from the bleach near the root and so many different colours going on. I was quoted $275-310, and ended up being charged about $380 including taxes. I still tipped 18% because I was told my hair would lighten and the streaks would blend. Has been 2 weeks now and it still looks horrible. I don't even want to go back to get it fixed because I don't want to create more work for another stylist to fix. I'm giving it 2 stars only because they were really nice and the staff is friendly but if you're looking for a great bayalage in the city, don't go here. There are far better salons charging the same for amazing results. read more

Managed to ruin 2 years worth of growth in one visit. I've never gotten an olaplex treatment and so much cut off, and left with my hair feeling worse than before. All I wanted were my roots touched up (highlights) and a trim. I made it clear over and over and over how hard I've been working to get my length, but both senior stylists that worked with my hair didn't listen at all. How do you ask someone if they want a half inch trim, and then take it off to above the shoulders? They blasted an excessive amount of heat when drying/styling, as the curls were done using a hairdryer and it took quite a while - damaging. They did a trim before curling it, which I was ok with, then chopped off the rest so I couldn't even tell since my hair was curly. I also find it strange that they charge extra for a toner, it doesn't even last 2 washes. They stripped me of my last 2 years and the hundreds of dollars I've spent. read more

I had my grad on a Tuesday and called around on the Saturday before, all the hair salons opened around 10:00am or later, but my grad was at 9:30 so I called B Suite and asked if it was possible to get an appointment to get my hair done before 9:00am. I had a wonderful experience at B suite! Amy cut and colored my hair. She listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me advice on what would work with my hair and suit me best. She did an awesome job and my hair turned out even better than I envisioned! I have extremely fine hair that many stylists find difficult to cut, often cutting more than I want. Amy listened to exactly what I wanted and managed to give me a wonderful cut without taking off more than I asked. In addition, the balayage turned out beautiful, despite the mess of colors I already had in my hair. At the end of my appointment when I was already very happy with my experience, Amy was sweet enough to offer me a discount because of how thin my hair is, which she did not have to do. Amy went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. I would strongly recommend her and will definitely be returning!!!!! read more

Worst salon experience I've ever had, extremely stingy manager who doesn't care about client satisfaction. Called ahead detailing lift level of my roots I had lifted (lift level confirmed at 3 salons prior I had visited in-person including my home salon), hair length and inquiring about permanent colour on my roots as I was afraid of wash-out. Looked into B. Suite as it was close to work. Was told the price for permanent colour and was about to call another place when the manager convinced me that because I was cost concerned (had just done my balayage at my local salon Erin Melinda Salon $300+ 2 months prior and am going to pay again shortly to go lighter) a toner could blend in my roots and that because of the quality of their products, there was no way it would wash out. Doubled the price (literally double what my regular salon Erin Melinda Salon charges for toner) when I actually came in for the service - because of hair length even though I only wanted anything done on my roots and had mentioned my hair length. I had 3 people talking at me (desk person, manager and hair colourist China) telling me I was wrong and that the manager said none of this on the phone. Blamed me for not coming in for an in-person consult when I asked why the manager would confidently give me a fixed price on the phone and then deny it in person. Other salons don't give fixed rates without consult or if they do, they honour it!! Because I had an event, I didn't have time to look elsewhere. Didn't do what I was asking for but China toned my roots and ends darker which I didn't ask for as a "favour" so I looked brunette at my event, pretty much toned all the lightness out of my balayage. Desk person, China and another stylist assured me that if the toner washed out quickly that I could come in again within 2 weeks- in literally 1 wash even using Joico purple shampoo- my hair was orange!! Came in the following week to have the manager deny they had said I could come in again if it washed out and tell me there is nothing he can do as he "used the product and fulfilled the service". Other salons I consulted at prior were respectful, way more honest about what could be done and didn't make me feel bad about pricing. Maybe if I spent more at the salon I might have been treated with a bit more respect instead of being made to seem crazy. Never again, so many higher quality salons and personable staff. read more
