I had a messy family issue. I googled reviews, ratings and looked for a great attorney that would…read morereally and fight for a man. I paid thousands of dollars to this company. I was promised that my 50B had no merit, my pending parental coordinator case would be dismissed because there were no LEGAL grounds to support this. None of my cases even came close to the elements of any law. He never kept me informed of my court dates, never tried to resolve any issues outside of court. I had to keep track of all that. I never even had a pre hearing meeting with him. At court, he told me that he didn't know the outcome would be. And on top of that, He said that the request for parental coordinator may go through too. I walked into the court, sat down and it all began..A nightmare. The judge walked in stating that no one messes with my.... referring to my ex. He continues to say on the stand before any hearing that he already found PC. Mr Roupas never stood up, asked for another judge based on his bias and just sat there letting my ship sink. Dont seek this mans help!!!!

I recently contacted Smith Giles, PLLC by phone for legal representation for a traffic ticket in…read moreAlamance county. I called during midday and was informed Michelle (the person handling traffic tickets) was not available but, would return my call. Michelle returned my call within the hour answered all my questions and addressed my concerns very professionally. She clearly articulated what Smith Giles would seek in representing me in court and provided the list of information and documentation required along with the cost for legal services, which was very reasonable. Michelle explained the process in court and within Smith Giles office, the options to pursue, the schedule of events and documented our conversation via email. I returned the requested information and agreed cost for services which Michelle confirmed receipt in writing for representation. I received a follow up email before the end of the business day on the same day as my afternoon scheduled court date. Michelle informed me of the optimal result, which was desired but never promised. She informed me the matter was closed and required no further action on my part, thanked me for allowing Smith Giles to represent me and to contact them again should I need any other legal services. Everyone that has experienced a traffic ticket knows the anxiety it can create. This process has taken twice as long as normal due to the events of 2020 and government closures. The prolonged period of time to resolve this issue simply increased the amount of stress. Smith Giles and specifically Michelle, helped reduce that stress by professionally and clearly managing necessary information, desired objectives, timely follow up communication and ultimately legal representation in court to obtain the most favorable judgement. I highly recommend Smith Giles, PLLC! Wayne S.

I live in Utah but while working in Greensboro I was hit by a Tahoe. (At a very busy intersection,…read moreI had the walk light, a witness who confirmed the walk light with a police officer and the statement of the driver who told the police officer he was looking at oncoming traffic and didn't see me). My face hit the asphalt first and a couple ribs were broken. There were many Emergency Room bills and follow-up bills. Seemed like a slam-dunk. I thought I could handle the situation myself. I first called my insurance company - USAA. They were courteous as they explained that they would be happy to converse with me but that the insurance company of the driver was the one I - not them - would need to work with. I called an attorney friend who said, "As straightforward as it might seem, often these things take longer than you might expect and involve lots of back and forth. I'd strongly consider an attorney." That made sense. My spouse had a professional acquaintance in Greensboro who recommended Ward Black Law. I contacted them and had an excellent conversation with Attorney Gabriel. Along the way I had exchanges with Gabriel, Lexie, Regina and a few others. I was treated exceptionally well. I always felt informed and kept up-to-date. And, my friend was correct; the process involved way more than I could ever have handled. I would have been over-run by the driver's insurance representatives. I am most thankful that the responsibility for this difficult situation and all the administrivia was so excellently handled by Gabriel and the other associates at Ward Black. They took a huge weight off of me and produced an excellent result. I highly recommend Ward Black Law.

Jae S., I, too had a bad experience with Ward Black Law. Mine was for a divorce. I was charged…read more$300 to make an appointment to speak with an attorney (most bill you on the day of the consultation). So I pay, speak with an attorney who writes the date on a piece of paper, then advises me that it will be another $495. Understandable. The initial $300 would go towards the total cost of the divorce. I WAS advised that there may be additional fees for serving my ex because of the different methods that may be required. I was fine with that. So the lawyer said that when I was ready to move forward with the divorce, give the paralegal, whose card was included in the packet a call; this person would handle everything. About a week later, I called Ward Black Law. The person who answered the phone was VERY courteous and professional. I was transferred to the paralegal, who didn't even know the attorney had my case, and who, also, was very RUDE. So, I tried calling the attorney and got no answer. So I figure, 'well... probably in court.' The paralegal calls my phone (I recognized the number after dialing it so many times), and when I answer, there is no response. I mean, I say 'hello' several times, and though the person is still on the line, the person doesn't answer. I, then, reached out to the person who called me that Tuesday to see if that person could help. NOPE! All I got was a 'paralegal tried contacting you several times (one breathing, no-response phone call amounts to several times); please contact the paralegal, as this is the person who handles these things. Thanks!' Never got my divorce through Ward Black Law, but on the plus side, even though I was out $300 for a lackluster consultation, I DID find a better attorney.
