I recently lucked out on snagged an OG Ibanez AFR-105 (IYKYK). Took it in to Jeff for a once over, a stacked knob issue, and a pro set up and it came back looking and sounding amazing! Plus I got the added peace of mind knowing my vintage bass was in proper working order. Most recently I took him a non-multiscale bass for a set up in drop F#. Granted, it was a very well built bass and the neck was capable, but he took to the challenge like an eager kid and knocked it out of the park! Not only that but he kept in constant contact with me throughout the process (it took longer than expected due to the difficulty of the request). Their prices for work are on par with most shops out there, so you're not even paying extra for the quality you get here. If Jeff ever leaves I'll follow him to his next place. I've had my flute for over 15 years, but I never got it professionally cleaned or maintained it properly... I found out about Mr. Eppler online and contacted him about getting my flute repaired. He got back to me immediately, and instead of shaming me for not taking care of my flute properly, he congratulated me on picking up playing the flute again. He and his assistant, James, who are both really friendly, worked on my flute over the weekend and fixed it up within a couple of days. I was amazed by how quickly they were able to turn it around, and how great my flute sounds now. Originally, it had so many problems including 6 big leaks and 5 bent keys, but It now plays better than when I first bought the flute. It really sounds great now. I also had him tune the old upright piano at our community club. He provided us with valuable information about the condition of that piano and what to look for in a replacement. Despite its poor condition, he made it sound much better than it had been. For the first half of the session with Marc, he mostly talked about his new age philosophies and shared his personal story. He also talked a bit about his podcasts and coaching services. I think maybe he was trying to coach me, which was not what I was looking for. For the second part of the session, Marc did his divination activities like reading tarot cards, running some numerology equations, and opening new age books to pages you suggest. It was not my kind of thing. I am a tough customer for that stuff and I gave him very little leading information. So maybe that was on me if he needs more info to work his magic. Personally, I would not have engaged if I had known this was going to be the content of the session. I am leaving a review on Yelp to help people like me to make more informed decisions. Again, very nice and sincere guy, but he should talk about his methods more on his website so people like me don't slip into the queue. Hence the low rating.
