My husband isn't the biggest fan of taking photos and was a bit concerned about losing our authentic moments to constant posing -- but Josh completely eased those worries. He has such a calm and unobtrusive presence that we hardly noticed he was there most of the time, yet he somehow captured every special moment beautifully. The photos turned out absolutely stunning -- truly more than I could have hoped for. Josh has an incredible eye for detail and emotion, and his talent shines through in every shot. Everything flowed so smoothly throughout the day; as a bride, I had zero worries. Josh was also wonderful with the kids, patient and fun, and even managed to get a smiling photo of my older aunt, who never smiles for pictures! Hiring Josh was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding. Thanks to him, we now have a gorgeous wedding album full of memories we'll treasure forever. I highly, highly recommend Josh to anyone looking for a talented, professional, and genuinely kind photographer. Thank you, Josh, for capturing our special day so perfectly.

We especially appreciated Julie, the receptionist, rounding up some sandwiches for us (They're transitioning to a new food vendor, and the grab-and-go case was nearly empty when we arrived.). We brought our sandwiches out to the gardens, where there are many seating areas with nice views. The historic mansion is beautifully decorated, a window into how this wealthy industrialist lived in the last century. Pam, the docent at the front desk, was full of interesting stories about the family and the house. We were surprised to learn from her that the curtains at the front of the house were the originals from the 1920s. With high ceilings and huge windows, every room has a beautiful view, even the servants' areas. I found the kitchen especially interesting. If you plan to visit Kingwood with small children, I recommend saving the mansion for another day. The beautiful staircase (faux painted with a feather!) has a low railing and wide spaces between the balustrades. It would be easy for a child to slip through and fall to the terrazzo ground floor.

The slope from the whites I believe is posted maybe 117 but I feel it should be more like 125. The front nine while not all that long it is very tough especially once you get on the greens. You have to stay below the hole on the greens. The 4 or 5 flat holes on the back are somewhat a relief until you get on the green. This is a truly challenge course. The price is more than my golfnow budget typically allows but then this is not your average golf course as well. A true delight. The meal afterwards was delicious; I had the chicken wrap and fries, an unexpected delicious combo. Very nice experience..

Most of the wedding party rented one of the treehouses or cabins on property for the night. Treehouses are pretty tight quarters. The pictures online do not show the true scale of the cramped area. It's like she would run away pretending they were busy becuase she knew there were issues . Bartender was good. About 4 other people eating at this time. About 6 other people at bar drinking . So bartender can handle 6+4 and all happy but kitchen, host, and server staff can't handle 9 people eating at once ? Kinda hard to run a restaurant like that. Maybe should try being a bar. Got 3 steaks all ordered medium . One was medium , one was well done, one was just burnt . The wagyu sushi was the most overcooked meat I have ever eaten. Was in Japan less than month ago and ate wagyu every day ; this was not Wagyu . Was not sushi . Was just scrap burnt meat piled in seaweed. This is not maki. The table was not set . For the pricing , I would expect the table to be set . Drinks were wrong and never refilled in a two hour dinner . This is a random small town, but based on pricing you'd see in Boston, Atlanta, New York - it is not the quality they are asking for . Especially not the service . Every menu item didn't match the descriptions Plating was well done , thats about the only compliment . Place is tacky inside , stairs to go to bathroom, weird temu valet light spinning at host stand , weird Star Wars stuff and other weird stuff mixed into decor . Kitchen looks angry , stares at you when you walk by Fish overcooked and dry McDonald's level cooking execution of what seem to be well made recipes , plated like fine dining , and in the setting of a dive bar , and prices of Morton's , and the taste worst than any restaurant I've eaten at on a 30 day road trip including chain restaurants . Need new FOH and BOH manager , and all new kitchen staff, need to redo decor and pick a theme, need to fix menus to match dishes , and get new servers . I mean that leaves almost nothing work keeping except the dishes , the presentation , and the bartender that were actually good and worth keeping
