Fantastic company - great from start to finish…read more Hired ESP to paint our Portland house and from the initial consult and estimation process to the finishing touches (including two client-driven color changes), they were wonderful to work with: understanding, consultative, great communicators, extremely thorough and detailed, and they produced excellent work. Guillermo and Alex did a great job painting my bathrooms (including ceilings), and mouldings and…read moredoors throughout my condo. They worked really hard the whole time and were perfectionists about quality. I had a hiccup with my job -- I had a big sticker on my closet doors and it took off paint when I removed it! Jeff worked out a solution with me, to take the doors off-site and sand them all the way down. I appreciated that he didn't charge me full price since it was an unexpected cost. I also had a hiccup with a door that wouldn't close properly after painting. (It was probably a very tight fit before painting). This door also needed some off-site work to shave down the top, so it would close correctly. The team came back on a Saturday morning to bring me the restored closet doors. These little pain points come up with lots projects. You need a company that will take care of things when everything doesn't go perfectly. ESP will make sure everything is taken care off.

Our first contact was with Andrea to schedule a walk through of the house we were in the process of…read morepurchasing. We appreciated that she was very flexible in scheduling because we had some issues with the sellers allowing us to access the house before closing. After that, she also was flexible in moving the start date of their work as our close date kept shifting out. Once we finally closed and had keys to the house, Armando's team started work within the next day. Armando and his team worked tirelessly to repair several wall/trim areas in the house and then paint every surface. When I shared my concern about timeline (bid was for 5 days but contract stated 8 days), the team put in extra hours and very late nights to be sure the house was ready to turn over to the flooring contractor, after which he'd return to finish up. That said, he did not rush through the job so much that quality was sacrificed, because he also cares about the finished product and that his clients are happy. Unfortunately, the work finally was completed after 11 work days (not including downtime for flooring contractors and cleaners), even during our moving day despite the commitment to be "100% complete" the day prior. This is our only real complaint about the overall job, since the initial estimate of 5 days is the primary reason we chose Hernandez.

Boy, where do I start? First off, we've painted the interior of houses (either ourselves or hired…read moreout to professionals) quite a few houses before this. But this experience was far from professional. There were so many issues, it would be too long of a review to list them all but I'll list some of the terrible highlights. *Poor management/supervision *Terrible process and attention to detail *Prep work was shoddy *Workers left the job site dirty each day and ruined a piece of our brand new carpet *No regard for the fact that we were living and working from the space (the job took 7 days, unnecessarily). *Skill level of workers was mediocre at best *Communication and language deficits *Several times each day we had to do quality control due to dripping paint, missed spots, wrong sheen of paint, using the incorrect color in places---we only had 3 colors. *Misuse of caulk in a large area that needed to be repaired by a professional drywaller. *We paid almost 11k for the work and it wasn't even worth half of that with the quality we got. They gave us a 1.5% discount for "inconveniences"
