Headbangers paradise nearly every time I've been. Love the live music and vibe with the crew working.

We arrived at around 7 PM for performances starting at 8 PM. One of the bartenders was working the door and gave us a quick and friendly rundown of the venue (outside smoking area, bathrooms, etc) as we paid to get in. The bar service was good and quick, with 2 friendly bartenders working, trying to get orders accurate in a noisy environment. The bar is long and roomy and I never had to stand in line. A waitress with $1 Jello shots was walking around. These were OK but weak. Maybe a fun novelty but one would probably need $5 of them. The stage is a standard 30" high and makes it possible to see the performers even from the other side of the room. The venue has a dedicated sound booth and a very good, clear sound system. It was on the loud side so bring ear plugs if you think you might need them. The sound was similar in all areas of the venue, so i don't think there's a bad spot, sound-wise. At one point I saw the sound man monitoring and tweaking some settings while working remotely from a tablet. The lighting is good, with opening acts getting the expected basic lighting and later acts getting more effects. The venue has smoke machines that were used thoroughly for all performances. At some point I could not see the back wall due to the smoke, but that dissapated over time. The men's bathroom is funny because i expected to walk down more of a hallway before finding it, but no, it's right there. The facilities were adequate, no complaints. I would EASILY go back here to see rock and metal cover bands. read more

BFE Rock Club, a hidden gem in North Houston. I'd passed by the location for years and never noticed until the night that I visited too see a friend's band. The stage had great lighting and the club had a great sound system. The bar tenders were attentive and I had a great experience!! read more

The stage at this venue is astounding. However, the bar, dance area, sitting areas, and rest rooms are disgusting. The entire venue has a scent of urine and the rest room is worse than any west Texas restroom I have ever visited. I encourage our health inspectors in the area to make a point of visiting this location. Everyone in our party had rashes or sicknesses after spending less than an hour in this disgusting building. Overall, worst bar I have seen in terms of cleanliness. I have been to bars in some of the worst parts of the world that are better maintained and cleaner than this place. read more

Jello shots for only a dollar!!!! Hahahah they are ok though, you can't really taste the alcohol which I guess that's the point, I don't know, I like mine a little stronger, the music was good, different bands all the time; the place isn't that big, but is definitely a good place to hang out. read more

Judging a book by its cover, this place looks like a hole in the wall rock club, and it is... and so much more. If you are coming here to see a show, the stage is set. Easy on the wallet cover, reasonably priced drinks and up and coming acts, what more do you need. I visited for the Act Of Defiance show case. Out of a hand full of opening acts, the lone stand out was Black Standard. Loud and crystal clear guitar, ear-melting bass, rhythmic precision drumming and superior vocals, other bands on the bill didn't stand a chance. Visited on 3/9/18 read more

A hole in the wall but in a good way. 5 Friends and came to this place for a Male Revue and had a great time. A few things could have made it better. We arrived and sat at a VIP section, bar hight table tops with wobbly stools. Drinks were purchased at the bar , we didn't notice wait staff. Bathrooms were pretty run down. Drinks were fair at a place like that. We would never have a reason to visit this establishment again. So like House of blues being a 5, id let this place get away with 3 since our group had a fun girls night out. read more

The bands are pretty cool! The only thing that I can't stand is the smoking!!!! I would go to this venue all the time if it wasn't for the smoking. The place is literally smoked out!! The bartenders are smoking too! Designate all smokers outside please! Think about the nonsmokers. I have no desire to go back. read more

After seeing this place from the outside so many times driving/walking up and down Jones Road since moving here about a year and a half ago, I finally go to go inside Friday night for a show headlined by Low Man's Joe, though I was around for most of the other acts as well. At first glance the place seems a bit small, but looks can be deceiving. If for some reason you find you want to tune out of the act that's on stage, there are pool tables, Golden Tee, Megatouch, a couple of other video games. If you need fresh air and/or a break from the high volume levels, there's also a patio area (the exit to which is rather hidden, between the pool tables in the east wall). This is also where a barbecue vendor will be setting up from now on, I'll be told. The only two minor quibbles about this place, are that it's a smoking venue (outside Houston city limits, it's to be expected I guess), and they don't allow re-entry (at least they had a sign posted saying so when I was there). Cover for Friday night was $8 for 21+, $10 for under 21. Not a bad price to see five bands. Drink prices are also quite reasonable, domestic beer was $3.25, sodas for $2 with $1 refills. read more

Cool dive bar with a dark feel perfect for metal bands. The VIP area (raised platform with couches) was a nice place to see the bands, too. The place is pretty huge, but split into different areas so you don't necessarily feel it. The back porch area is also a nice touch. The cover charge ($10) was also reasonable for a Friday night, too. My biggest beef is the cost of the drinks, I was a little surprised to pay $6-8 (if I recall correctly) for something as simple as a rum and coke. Beers were cheaper and that's what I shoulda stuck with. This place is a cool dive bar in a low rent strip mall, and I can dig that...but the drinks are almost Midtown pricey! Since they are outside of city limits, the smoke was kinda annoying but there's not much that can be done there. read more

What can I say? I'm a stereotype kinda person. I hear rock or metal and I think it's chokers and net stockings and all that stuff. Anyways lets just say I'm glad I went. They had band after band playing. It was amazing. The good thing is the different bands supported each other. The music is way loud. I've never heard that before. It's live and I liked it though I could only hear a few words. They give free shots every once in a while. Kinda cool. The club has a patio and a bar. I'm just going to say they have the most darkest names ever. The crowd is not big so there's a lot of space to move and chairs for everyone. Next time I'm wearing spikes. read more

Intimate venue for live music. The drinks are relatively cheap and the stage is great. Only wish the pool tables weren't covered in band merch. Overall, fun environment and would recommend earplugs for the volume, but you'll have a great time. read more

Great sound in an awesome venue. However, they charge stadium prices for beer. At 6.00 a pop it can get kinda pricey. 1st time I went to the men's room, there were no paper towels. I told the barkeep and they fixed it immediately. 2nd time I went to the restroom, there was no hand soap. I told the barkeep and they fixed it immediately. They are coming back around. Been around a long time and had a sharp drop I always felt. Went there with some friends for a bands and enjoyed myself. The environment was a lot better. Check them out for good local live music read more
