Booked tickets well in advance via Vivid Seats and bought the event protection. The interior was smaller than I expected, definitely a homey feel. We arrived an hour early to pick up our tickets at Will Call, painless quick process. Host led us to our seats and was friendly. We sat close to the front. Average waiting time to get our food for a busy comedy club, the old bay fries and burrito were pretty good! Needed improvement: Our server wasn't smiling at all, did the bare minimum. My husband ordered two items that were featured in one of their combo specials and didn't notice, a great server would've pointed out that it's more cost effective to order the combo, but she didnt. left a low tip as feedback, figured that would get the message across. She then came back to ask if everything was okay with the service when we were trying to pay attention to the show- didn't feel like explaining then, so explaining here. Other servers however appeared friendlier. Pro tip: if you want to get picked on by the comedian, sit towards the front in the center, that's where it's lit and he/she and the camera can actually see you. Or the tables flanking the stage. Parking tip: the garage right next to the theatre is $17, suggest parking there rather than the pricier $25 one around the corner across the street! We realized this after. It was especially convenient to have Catering, DJ, and media all wrapped into one venue. Nick (Bright Box event coordinator) and the rest of the Bright Box staff were very friendly, accommodating, and helpful during our day. Nick worked very well with our Day of Coordinator to ensure all needs provided by the Bright Box were met promptly. We thoroughly enjoyed the Bright Box for our wedding. Having both the downstairs for our ceremony and dance floor coupled with the upstairs for cocktail hour, pictures, and a quite talking place away from the music made our day complete and provided great flexibility for our guests. We also enjoyed the outside sitting area with our guests on an amazing weather day. Thank you Nick & Bright Box for an amazing day, we're looking forward to checking out a show for our anniversary!

Mark Phillips and Ryan Phillips were both terrific. The one we voted for did indeed win, but they were both great! The Saturday we were there, there were two performances. We chose the 5pm one. It's a fast-paced show that kept us laughing, intrigued and highly entertained. A very fun, wonderful way to spend entertainment dollars in DC. Not a bad seat in the house! This is downstairs in the historic Mayflower Hotel, nice and close to the Farragut North Metro Stop. Definitely appropriate for all ages. Highly recommend!

I am no stage expert, but lights and sound do matter a lot in delivery of a magic show for a skeptic like me, going because the significant other loves magic shows. With better lighting, things would have been more "magical" (thinking bottles.) I was also surprised that a bubble artist, as good as she was in her profession, was considered a magician. After some quick research, you will end up at Magic Duel in this genre, so please go to Dupont or Georgetown.
