After I recruited family & friends to help dispose of some things, I organized items for donation & things to throw away, there was STILL SO MUCH STUFF! Again, friends & family helped move all the things to a relative's garage because (at the time) the plan was to pay for a dumpster and put the stuff in there. (Mind you, this was a lot of physical labor over the course of 4 weekends!) On one of the trips between the storage unit and relative's house, I saw a sign on a telephone pole: Junk Removal + phone #. I called and spoke to Ruben. I wasn't sure what to expect since this is the first time I have ever called a phone # off a roadside sign. I was pleasantly surprised with the professional service I received from start to finish! Ruben explained how the process for junk removal would go, so there were no surprises. I scheduled the junk removal service for a Saturday and Junk Bee Gone would arrive between 10 am -12 pm. I got text reminders the day before and the day of the appointment. Andy, Juan, and Ruben arrived at 11 am in a truck. Andy assessed the amount of stuff that needed to be hauled away and quoted me $550 for the service. I agreed to the amount and they got started right away. It took them a little over an hour to load the items in their truck. They were nothing but professional throughout the process! Anyways, here it is: spoke to Lena on Tuesday 3/22 afternoon and confirmed our appointment for Wednesday 3/23 3pm to pick up some trash as I am moving my office (please see screenshot). It's probably a small job for them (she quoted me $225). On the day of, I got a missed call from her at 12:27pm then she followed with a text message at 12:29pm stating she won't be able to make it (please see the screenshot I've attached). I was already on my way to meet and have plan the day around this so I can take care of it. I've called her back, left a nice and calm voicemail then follow with a text, no response. I put myself in the business owner's shoes, I understand I'm not your only customer and I understand that you may run behind with other jobs. It is one thing to cancel last minute (2.5 hrs before) but another to completely ignore my call and text. Because of that, I had to find another business to take on the job for another day. That caused me a lot of inconvenience since I've planned my day around our meeting and I had to drive back again on another day (which is an hr 15 min away each way).
