The instructor on the other hand, was unfocused, unwilling to get into the water, belittled us every chance he got, and learned nothing from him but to relax. There were moments where he left a class of nine students to teach a overlapping swim lesson... for an hour. This is just one instance where he left us unattended. The only reason we passed was a student was getting her certification and she was knowledgeable in the water. I wish no one this abominable experience, unless they train some new instructors and made sure that they did their job well instead of taking a back seat.

The skills are practiced on land and in the water they are both very thorough and make sure you are comfortable before moving on with the training. They will answer questions about gear and recommend the best fit for you. However I never felt pressured to buy any gear since the gear is included with the training. I asked about places to dive with while travelling to Mexico and honduras and got some excellent recommendations. These guys are laid back and i would recommend this shop to anyone who is looking to get certified.

Then they charged me $22 tax, even though it is being sold out of state and there is no sales tax (eventually got him to say he will remove this charge, but I'll believe it when I see it!) THEN he charged me another $30 to send it UPS Ground (which appears to be $10 on UPS web page). He says the rest is his handling fee (Really? First you refuse to have it drop shipped, then charge me $20 to simply forward the mask that is already boxed in the shipping box it arrived in. Some seriously heavy lifiting, I guess, as it must weigh at least 6-8 oz!)

It was a nice southern feeling in the air and everyone is knowledgeable about everything a diver needs. From equipment, diving spots and more, this place is a one stop shop where the customer is #1. My instructor has been on at least 300 Diving Excursions and was very welcoming!! You don't have to be an experienced driver or a Olympic swimmer just have an open mind about the process. Everything about my experience was pleasant. I enjoyed myself tremendously and I hope to go on a diving excursion on my own in the future.

Honestly, I used to get nauseous when I would see the sea, from the sea anyway, but no longer. Thankfully.
