It took a while (months) for them to come back but they let me know that was the time frame and I was very fine with it. Everyone I came across was quite friendly. It seems like they did a good job, I'll really get to see when the leaves come out. The person who climbed the tree cleaned up the yard well. I forgot all about this review (8/4/16) until the owner YELPed me, the leaves are out and their trim up made the tree look healthier and gave some dappled sunshine.

We hired Canopy Walkers for jobs at two of our properties. One is our residence, the other a rental…read moreproperty. We asked Roger to finish our residence work before he started on the rental work. Both jobs were extensive, with many trees to cut (about 22 at our house), stumps to be ground, trunks to be cut to firewood length and brush to be put in an agreed location on our property. We paid Roger half of our total bill before he started work. We had to call/text him numerous times before he finally showed up with a crew and an attitude. They cut down most of the trees in a few hours. Then they left. Over the course of 9 weeks, many texts/calls Roger or someone he sent, managed to show up for a total of 4 times. The trees are all down, but they are not all cut up, none of the stumps are removed or ground up. At least one tree that I wanted to keep was damaged by a falling tree. I suspect another tree hit my garage as the gutter is mysteriously separated from the downspout and the downspout has a huge dent in it. Roger also took a Black Walnut tree without authorization because he wanted to use it/sell it. I cannot in good conscience recommend Canopy Walkers to anyone who has more than one day's work to be done. If you only have a tree or two, you might come out okay. Give your big jobs to someone who will finish your job before moving on to someone else. Needless to say, he will not be working at our rental property. We still hope we can convince Canopy Walkers to complete their contract with us, but they don't communicate with us, so we have no idea what plans they have for completion.

So since he did this I will tell what transpired. I asked him if he could cut shorter after he completed the first cut. My family and neighbors agreed that it did not look good. However, I did not tell him that because I did not want to offend him. This was right after cut. I nicely texted him and asked if next time he could go shorter. He said ok. He then texted me on the day of the next cut and I just reminded him by saying ok thx and short. I then received a text he sent to someone of a screenshot of our conversation calling me a Stupid C --t. I told him that he sent the text to me " obviously by accident". I clearly was offended and it was completely unwarranted. Of course then stopped my service with him. I now just received a long text from him saying derogatory statements about me for texting him those two brief request. He said I was ignorant, rude, and disrespectful by me asking him about it being shorter. Claimed the two text were continuous (lying) only the two and one like I said was a reply to him and not even a sentence. He then proceeded to tell me to pick up my dog shit because he is a professional. Mind you I have an extremely small back yard with three dogs. I never met him in person. He would let me know roughly the day and then on that time he was coming. This was done when I was at work. Again, only twice. The only reason twice is because he did the lawn the second time before I saw his crass text.I never dealt with this kind of behavior from someone not only works for a business, but a family owned business. He needs to get his anger in check. I hope he does not continue to harass me.

A situation came up and I needed to cancel the job due to a financial family hiccup and he was understanding and cancelled the job with no issue. Jeff Brown, the owner, was friendly, knowledgeable, and his estimate was reasonable. Jeff was prompt and masterfully maneuvered the limbs of my tree through power lines, while his crew cleaned-up. My next-door neighbor, who maintains a meticulous yard, watched eagle-eyed. That evening, she texted me to ask for Jeff's information. She has had him do tree work ever since. Actually, several of of my neighbors have. I definitely will be hiring Jeff again in the future when tree issues arise.
