Tree portions cut up and later were picked up by their truck that handles the logs

I needed a dying tree removed from our yard. We live in a neighborhood and our property is super close to the houses around it. The tree was literally the farthest point back of our yard and our neighbors behind us have a large fence and pool.. so if this tree fell on its own it would have caused considerable damage. We called around for quotes from tree removal places.. we had at least five quotes. I had a few other people come out and talked down to me, probably because I was a female, but this business was not one of them. They came out quickly to check out the property and said they would email me the quote that night.. and they did! They were clear from the start that they had a wait list for service because of delays due to covid restrictions and demand. We weren't looking for immediate removal so that was fine with us. i had called the office several times with silly questions and their receptionist is amazing.. always explained everything and when she didn't know the answer she would find out and call me right back.. that day. This is kinda unheard of with most businesses. This business is the only one that said they would take down our chain link fence and put it back up for us.. other businesses said it was our responsibility.. this was a huge plus. JM tree called us two days prior to them coming to take down our tree to advise us what to expect. The day of removal they came and were really quick to take down our tree. Only reason it's not five star is they left considerable damage to our yard in they dug up a lot of grass with their machinery. Also we have a large divot in the ground from where the large tree branch had dropped when it was cut. We will need to quite a bit of reseeding and adding dirt to fix the mess they made of our grass. This business out of the five we had quotes from was the most kind, affordable and offered the most.

JM Tree uses crane technology to remove trees, cutting them into sections and loading them out with a crane, in some cases over the roofs of buildings, to the street.

Two Large Trees Removed By Crane…read more We had two huge Popular (Cottonwood) trees in our back yard that were 3-1/2 feet in diameter at the base and about 80 feet high. They were also only about 3 feet from the foundation and beginning to stress it. If that was not bad enough there was no access to the back yard for equipment because we have a brook that runs behind the house. So we needed a company with a crane to remove the trees. Enter Flower City Tree... Steve, Andy, and their crew arrived at about 8am and the amazing tree removal began. Steve operated the Crane and his son, Andy, was put up into the first tree to secure the slings that will haul the 3000-5000 lb. sections of the tree over my house. He then cuts the top section of the tree. The crane operated by his dad, Steve, swings the tree section over my house and down to the rest of the crew on the ground. They maneuver it and cut it into smaller pieces that get sent into the mulch machine and the chips are blown into a truck. This was impressive to watch. These guys really know what they are doing. Everyone had headphones with a microphone to keep in contact with each other. After about 6 hours they were done. Aside from some residual sawdust, you would never know that they were even there. I'm very happy with their price and their work, so much so that I want to say something about their crane operation. Flower City Tree owns their crane. The operator, Steve, runs it several days a week and really knows how to run it. His son is in the tree and has to rig the tree with slings and ropes so it can be lifted over my house. When the tree is cut - there is no second chance. If the sling is not right then the tree will fall. Nobody wants a 1 ton piece of tree falling 40 feet through their house. Now, most crane operators pick up heavy steel beams on the ground and hoist it up. If it is not rigged right they can set it right back down and adjust the way it is in the sling. Tree cutters do not have that luxury. They have to get it right - the first time - and every time. If not there would be major consequences. And, Flower City Tree got it right every single time! My wife and I, and several neighbors, enjoyed watching this very professional team work their magic and Steve said something to me that explained it all. He said, "That's my son up in that tree and the workers are my friends. We can't afford even one small mistake. We are very careful." That about sums it up. If you need a company that has great prices, with caring, professional owners and employees that do a great job then look no further. I have used other services in the past and I can say that I will never use anyone other than Flower City Tree for my tree work. Thank you so much to Steve, Andy, Julie, and the rest of the crew... Half the price of some other services. Had them cut down and remove a very large oak that had…read morebranches hanging over my house. There was very little room to work in. I was amazed that they had the whole thing down, cut up and removed, in about three hours. I was expecting an all day job. Everything was left in good order. The condition of the tree was that it was partially rotted so I worried some part would fall on my roof (as happened a few months ago) but they have amazing equipment that can handle, I would expect, just about any situation. Very pleased with this company.

I recently contacted All Seasons Tree Service in Rochester to get an estimate on having some trees…read moreand shrubs in our yard pruned and shaped. I contacted them because of the great ratings I had read online. Well...never did get the estimate due to the person who came out to look at the job. An 11 AM appointment had been scheduled, but the man arrived at 10:30 AM. We called to him out the window, saying that we had expected him at 11 AM, and would be with him shortly. He loudly replied, "well, I'm here early" with an attitude. A couple of minutes later my husband walked out in front of the garage door to see him parked at the end of the driveway in the road. The man stared at him for about five seconds then began messing around with something in his car and didn't even acknowledge him. My husband heard him swearing and using the F word while sitting in his car with his door open. After saying "hey" a second time and getting no response, my husband said "You're done, get out of here". At this point the man responded F*** you! The treatment we received from this representative of All Seasons was so inappropriate! I called the tree service phone number and got an answering service. The representative took my complaint down in writing and said she would send it to the business and have a manager call us back ... no call as of today. Another indication of what you may encounter if you have a concern or complaint, even from management. This company lost a job due to one man's rude, obnoxious behavior. From our experience, beware of this tree service if this is any indication of the people they employ.
