No matter what your project entails "Safety" should always be at the forefront in your mind, if your project requires the use of heavy equipment it's best to leave it to the experts and their goal should be to "protect people and property" although cost is always a consideration it shouldn't be the first thing on your list when building out the project and scope of work. The old adage that "no job is to big or too small" is a wonderful marketing campaign but the reality is it's very easy to undersize or oversize crane services, undersizing exposes you to great risk, over sizing will definitely increase your cost when it isn't necessary. We've used Ed's Crane Service with great success they are professionals and have well maintained equipment that goes beyond the beautiful cranes in their inventory -- the rigging is just as critical as is anything else involved, it's not just a shop box full of straps, chokers and shackles it's the condition of this equipment if any parts of the entire process fails it can be catastrophic - the set up is just as important, you can have all the right equipment but if the crane is not properly set up and level with quality pads under the out-riggers it's a recipe for disaster. We needed help when KitchenAid refused to bring a 42" Built In refrigerator up three stories of…read morestairs, with no elevator. This despite KitchenAid telling us on two separate calls with customer service, it would be no problem when we ordered the appliance. Elegant Crane Services came to our rescue and did a great job, safely, smoothly and without incident lifting the refrigerator (600 lbs.) up three stories, to outside of our door. They were careful and considerate of the property avoiding carports, the roof overhang, trees and railings. In addition we were able to hire them to de-install the old refrigerator, remove it from our condo, crane it down to the first floor and haul it away. We had scheduled the job over two days and they completed it in one. It was well coordinated, they were personable, friendly and demonstrated expertise in securing, lifting and moving large and heavy items. Based on our experience we highly recommend their services.
