Stopped in needing parts and I wasn't sure what I needed they were friendly knowledgeable, and got me on my way quickly at a great price

I came in looking for a trailer for my kayak. I just got a newer Ford Explorer, and I didn't want to car-top my 13' kayak, anymore. I did some research and found that they were a magic tilt dealer, and began some research. I stopped in to talk with someone about it and I was met by Jimmy. He was extremely helpful and understood what I was needing, as I go to freshwater and saltwater with my kayak. He turned me on to another brand that they carry called Yacht Club. I got the WCA112, and let me tell you, it's the bees knees. All aluminum, so it's really light, but also tows really well. Easy to backup, and what's even better, the way the bunks came stock, I didn't have to change anything. I was able to slide my kayak right on top of it, and have no issues what-so-ever. Jimmy was not only helpful on the needs of my situation, but he understood budget and not only aligned me with a great product, but it's priced right! I'd fully encourage anyone in need of a boat trailer to stop in and talk with them. They've got a wide selection of trailers, not only for small personal water crafts, but all the way up to triple axle beasts for those bigger boats. Have used B&G twice once for a trailer that destroyed a bearing and they saved the spindle and replaced the races. Second bought a used trailer and boat and had them do a maintenance check, repair lights, and move the bunks to the correct location as well as recover. read more

We went to B&G trailers for a repair to the tongue of our boat trailer that is used for commercial fishing. It is a double axel trailer. The repair they did was with a metal that was was rated for a single axel trailer. It was smaller both in the thickness of the metal as well as the size of the actual part they were replacing. These differences were not discovered until we returned home with the trailer and attempted to load the boat onto the trailer. The new metal they installed bent into a shallow V between the truck and the boat. We tried to reconnect with them as soon as this happened and they were then closed for the holidays. Once they they reopened after the holiday closure, we showed them the defective repair. They actually acknowledged that the part they used was not rated for that size trailer and that he would have to rebuy the part that was rated for the needed repair. He inquired regarding a credit towards the correct repair since it was their error by using the wrong part not rated for the size and trailer weight. They told him that they would not be crediting him or taking back the defective part. He spoke with the manager there and they told him his only option was to purchase the right part and that he could take that part and have someone else do the repair. There was no willingness from the business to correct their error. He paid $319.65 for an incorrect part that the company used in error and the installation of that wrong part. They used the wrong part and it made the trailer non usable until we paid again for the right part and again for someone else to undo and fix the work that we paid them to do. read more

I took my boat and trailer to B&G based on good reviews. My experiance should have been better than it was. They did my axle and springs just fine but did not lower the boat as I had asked and had discussed with the Foreman. They did not call me to talk it over, they just told me when I picked it up that it could not be done. They did put on the new bunkers and hardware that I asked for but used my old risers. I told them I wanted all new hardware but they say that I did not say that. When I got the boat home I realized that the front roller was not even touching the bow of the boat. The bow was just hanging in air. I did tell them that the front roller would need to be adjusted. So, I jacked up the boat in my garage and lowered it by taking out the old risers and putting the bunkers at the upper u-bolt location, just like I had asked them to do. Yes it was possible, No it was not easy and that is why I wanted them to do it for me. Then I broke loose the forward roller bolts, which I had wanted them to to, and which was a real pain, and I raised the forward roller to support the bow of my boat. I called B&G to go over all of this and to ask for some credit off my bill. Basically they did not want to talk about any credit. Again it was "not possible". Well it is also not possible that I would ever be going back to B&G. read more

Spoke with "Jimmy" on the phone about purchasing a trailer and told him I'd be in to pick it up. When I arrived I was ignored and left standing there for almost 30 minutes while the man behind the counter played on his phone after looking up to see me standing there multiple times. Eventually one of the mechanics came in and helped me but after being ignored for so long I decided to purchase my trailer elsewhere. read more

Of all the bad customer service I've received in my life this place takes first prize! Quite a while back I had my boat trailer break while trying to pull the boat out of the St. Johns river. I was in a real bind because I had to ask the rangers at Hontoon Island to let me leave the boat docked there until I could get the trailer fixed. All the trailer needed was some minor welding so I took it too B & G, and explained my situation. At least four times they promised me it would be ready by a certain time, and each time it wasn't. Finally, they said it would be ready at on a specific day and time so I said I would be there to pick it up. I didn't call, I just showed up. When I got there I asked where the trailer was, and found out they had not even started to work on it. It had been sitting there for a couple of weeks, and they had not even touched it. I said I'd just pick it up and go somewhere else. The guy that brought the trailer out to me made some rude comments to me about not waiting for them to fix it. I said I'd never come back to them again, and they'd had enough chances. He said, "Well, we do over a million dollars in business every year so we must be doing something right!" To which I replied, "That may be so, but none of that million will ever come out of my pocket!" Folks, please go somewhere else. This place does not deserve your business. read more

This people sell to you full rebuild trailer, then you find is not. used wrong parts heavy duty trailer with regular tires and axles cost me to fix $3k plus $5.5k cost triler. You can buy new For $7.5k with warranty. Them spouse prowide weren't 1Year only if you bring to them , Im from Illinois and axel was broke down. Defend trailer shops tell to as on trailer is wrong axel two is light duty and one is heavy. Save your money shop different places. read more

I was willing to give these folks a five star review until the nickel and dime game came out. Traded in a used trailer for a new one. Didn't have a problem with the sale. After the sale is a different story. B&G decides that they don't like the original price quoted for my trade. They then want to re-write the deal and have me pay the $200 difference in quotes. Uh no. B&G - You'll still make money on my trade once its fixed and resold. Once you realize a mistake has been made, you learn from it. You don't try to screw a customer for a couple hundred bucks. read more

Upon looking for a place to replace my 16 year old boat trailer a friend of mine told me he had gone B&G trailers right off Kepler road at exit 44 off I- 4. He said he got a good trailer at a fair price and they were very helpful. So on his advice I took a chance and brought my old trailer with my boat attached to B&G trailers. I was greeted by one of the girls that worked there and she took measurements of my trailer and then told me my boat is very unusual. It's a 17 foot flats boat with a 15 foot body. It was cut down when being made to 15 from 17. Very unusual. They would have to custom make a trailer for me. No extra charge ,just the standard price. So I left them the trailer and boat for 2 days and when I returned I was in awe at the fine weldmanship that was done on the new trailer with my boat sitting on top. These people did an outstanding job and I couldn't be more pleased. They even threw in a spare tire and safety chain. If you ever need a trailer see TARA at B&G trailers. read more

This place is extremely unprofessional and they do not do good work! I would beware before going here. My husband brought his work truck/trailer here for some work and it was a nightmare. They charged our account double what we were told they were charging, and refused to fix an issue that they created. read more

B&G provided me with knowledge and courteous service at a fair price. I couldn't be happier about my two dealings with them.

Replaced my triton trailer with a Magic Tilt trailer. The trailer is a great product, however, B and G trailers in Deland is terrible with service and set up. 1st off I have never bought a new trailer before so after they swapped my boat from the old to new trailer I had asked a few questions about the set up, to which, they reassured me it was correct. So the next day my partner and I drive to Astor, from Jacksonville, while backing down the ramp the front two brackets scraped and bent up. We fished and got off the water at 1300. Called B and G and told them of the situation and that I could at the lot by 1345. They tell my no one would be there to fix the situation even though they are open until 1400. My partner and I drove back to the house and fixed that ourselves. 2nd, after fixing that I saw that the bearing buddy(factory install) was not full extended, both sides were empty, which means that B and G did not service the new trailer as required by the manufacturer. I do not recommend using this facility to anyone. read more

I have been a customer of B&G Trailers for years and I have rarely dealt with a group of people who know their business better, or who I completely trust, the way I do these folks. They were recommended to me by my boat works, over some major things that needed to be fixed on my 24' boat's trailer. Not only did they replace parts and repair the trailer correctly but they pointed out some things that weren't correct and adjusted them at no charge. I recently bought trailer tires someplace else (didn't realize they sell tires too) and the guy installed them so the trailer's brakes/shocks weren't aligned correctly. I could tell something was wrong so I drove by B&G. They looked at it on the spot and fixed it at no charge, even though I didn't buy the tires from them! Every time I go there, for my work, boat, jet ski or whatever trailer, whether it's for something as small as a trailer light or I need to purchase a completely new trailer, the experience is always the same: prompt attention, they know their stuff, and they do it right the first time. Everyone I speak with feels the same way. They've been in business honing their craft for decades, and the pride of skill, workmanship and knowledge shows. I can't recommend them highly enough and I wouldn't go anywhere else for my trailer needs. read more

I bought a refurbished aluminum boat trailer for B&G a couple of years ago. I didn't get what they said I was going to get, but I sucked it up and took the trailer anyway since it was relatively inexpensive. I've decided to upgrade to a new trailer. Went back to B&G to price out a couple of trailer lines they carry. They told me they'd get back with me in a day or two. After 5 days, I stopped by to see if they had heard anything from the manufacturers. It was obvious from the fumbling through the books that they had not called the manufactures, They made a couple of excuses and didn't own up to their oversight. Once the dust settled, they said they would call that day and get back to me by the end of the day. It is after their business hours now and still no call from B&G. I guess they are too busy for new business and I'm not going to beg them to help me. I think I'll go elsewhere. Too bad, I like to support local business. The only reason they got two stars instead of one is because they are friendly folks, albeit poor in customer service. read more
