Tl;dr: Nicoll is AMAZING and clearly knows what she's doing when it comes to professionally…read moreorganizing your home! Read on below if you want more details about the whole process. So...here's the thing about me. I love stuff. I love having a variety of stuff. I love having colorful pens, cute bags, books...you name it, and I probably started collecting some of it at some point. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with wanting to have and own those things. But what I did notice was that the sheer amount of that stuff was really starting to stress me out. Things didn't have a place. My closet and dresser and drawers were stuffed to the brim. I found it difficult to enjoy these fun things I owned because they were mixed in with other things I didn't enjoy or use anymore. I found that I was hanging onto so many items for years "just in case," and the case would never arrive. I'd tried for years with things like the minimalist challenge and reading self help books to try and get rid of things, but I couldn't seem to make a dent. That's where Nicoll came in. My partner helped me find Nicoll on Yelp and connected the two of us together. We had an introductory phone call where she asked me some questions, and I shared my frustrations with getting rid of things and really needing help with it. We ended up making an appointment for a week later where she showed up with her toolkit and bag of bags for donations. We did a little walk around and I shared areas of stress for me and what I wanted out of the space, which was to know where everything was and to know what I owned. After the intro assessment we dove right in. In the next few hours we: ⁃ Took EVERYTHING out of my closet and purged SO much of it. We went piece by piece and she helped ask clarifying questions (when did I last wear it? Do I like it?) and could usually pick up on if I actually liked something. I noticed patterns of how I reacted when I loved something vs when I wasn't sure or was sort of convincing myself. This is an exercise I tried doing before on my own, but when there's someone standing there, who you paid to help you, who's not attached to your stuff....let me tell you, it changes the game. I found myself deciding to donate (and sometimes sell) what must have been at least a third of my closet (clothes, hats, bags, electronics, etc). ⁃ She busted out her label maker and helped organize and label shelves in categories that made sense. Now I know where everything is! ⁃ She packed up all the items I decided to donate into bags and packed them into her car. It ended up being about 15 bags of things which was absolutely wild to me. Nicoll taking these bags out of my house was a game changer, because there have been many times I've decided to donate items that just end up sitting there in bags for months! I noticed that night going to bed that my room felt emptier, in a really good way. It felt calmer, cleaner, and like I could breathe a bit easier. Some people might read this and think that they shouldn't have to hire someone to help them organize. I know for myself that I hit a wall when it came to organizing on my own, and I needed to ask for help. I'm so glad I did, because it changed my life and my relationship with "stuff." I'm confident that Nicoll will be able to help you if you need it, and I cannot recommend her enough!

She helped me get straight to work purging, organized my awkward old-house spaces, and packed up all my donations and e-waste when she left leaving the house feeling so free. Highly recommend! If you have a multigenerational home, Monica can be so incredibly helpful to your parents, you and your kids. She can discuss options sensitively to aging parents and also thoughtfully include your kids in a new routine of helping the household. She reorganised our kitchen so that my young kids can help unload the dishwasher easily. They also now do their own laundry. And take ownership of their things and keeping their room tidy. Monica's team is also so kind and helpful to work with. They are respectful and completely non judgmental. I really appreciate how quickly and thoroughly they work. Monica also has amazing sense of making a home flow more easily and rearranging things to give more space and natural movement. Her design input has also been really appreciated and exactly what I needed when I was near the end of my pregnancy and needed someone to take initiative and follow through. She gave me options and storage solutions that have really improved how we organize the home. Thank you Monica and your team for helping us get ready for baby and I look forward to working with them again in the future.

I would recommend Monica to anyone looking to upgrade the form OR function of their spaces.

She's all business and will get things done. Her team is working non-stop the whole time they are organizing. My husband is super sentimental and has a ton of stuff. He has a lot of hobbies and every item has a story. I saw her approach to both of us and she adapted her team to meet each of our needs. I felt the efficiency. He felt heard. Our garage is like storage - tons of holiday decor, lots of party equipment (we host a lot!), part gym, part office, etc. There really was a ton of stuff. Everything is so organized now and we are so happy everytime we go in there! Her team was great. Everything went smoothly.

Disappointing and Judgmental Consultation -- Especially Given the Advertised ADHD Expertise…read more Since COVID, our home has gradually become more and more cluttered, and I finally decided it was time to make a change. I was ready to invest in professional help and reached out to More Time For You because Lori Krolik's professional profile listed "ADD/ADHD Expertise." This was particularly important to me because my child has ADHD. I was hoping to find someone who could understand the challenges our family faces and help us develop practical, sustainable organizing systems. I had already spoken with several professional organizers, but my consultation with Lori was unfortunately a very negative experience. When I tried to explain my background, our situation, and what I was hoping to accomplish during our phone consultation, she interrupted me and said she didn't want to hear about that (which I thought it was a little rude). Instead, she immediately asked me to give her a virtual tour of our home. After the tour, rather than discussing possible solutions, she made several comments that I found extremely judgmental and hurtful, including comments along the lines of: * "How did you get here?" * "You said you organized this area (inside the cabinet), but I still see a mess on the countertop." * "You said you're not a hoarder, but I think you are." I also explicitly told her that my child has ADHD and that one of my main goals was to reorganize my child's room. Despite knowing this, Lori suggested that our child's difficulties with organization were partly due to us, as parents, not setting a good example. I found this particularly insensitive. I fully understand that our home needs significant work. That is exactly why I was seeking professional help in the first place. I was prepared to invest the time and money necessary to make meaningful changes. I also understand that not every professional organizer is the right fit for every client. Lori explained that her preferred approach involves gathering items together and sorting them, and that the amount of clutter in our home would make the project difficult for her team. I would have completely respected her decision if she felt our project was not a good fit for her services. What disappointed me was not her assessment of the amount of work involved, but the way she communicated it and her attitude toward me as a potential client. What makes this experience especially disappointing is the information presented on her own website. More Time For You's FAQ specifically addresses how professional organizing can help people with ADD/ADHD, discussing the importance of creating appropriate systems and routines. Her website also states: "We provide the encouraging and non-judgmental voice you need to get the job done." Unfortunately, my consultation felt like the exact opposite of that promise. I sought her services specifically because I believed her advertised experience with ADD/ADHD would mean a greater understanding of the challenges neurodivergent individuals and families may face. Instead, I felt dismissed, criticized, and shamed during a consultation in which I was simply trying to ask for help. I believe people who reach out to professional organizers are often already feeling overwhelmed or embarrassed about the condition of their homes. Seeking help can take courage, and being met with judgment rather than understanding can make that process even more difficult. For neurodivergent individuals and families considering More Time For You, I would strongly encourage you to ask detailed questions about their approach to ADHD, communication style, and how they handle challenging organizing situations before committing to their services. Based on my consultation, I personally would not feel comfortable working with Lori. I hope future clients seeking help receive the empathy and professionalism described on the company's website.

He then helps you make thoughtful decisions about what to keep and creates practical, intuitive systems that reduce friction in everyday life. Keith is perceptive, patient, and completely nonjudgmental. He knows when to let you think, when to ask the question that clarifies a decision, and when to offer a strong recommendation so the project keeps moving. Nothing felt cookie cutter or imposed- the goal was always to make the space work for us, rather than forcing us into someone else's idea of an organized home. After working with him, our apartment feels calmer, more functional, and easier to maintain. He is also genuinely enjoyable to spend a long session with, which matters for this kind of work. I would recommend Keith without hesitation.

I can now maintain a baseline of organization with ease, without needing long weekend cleaning sessions. I know where everything is and don't need to waste time searching for my things. I never thought I could be this type of person. What's special about Keith is that he doesn't just organize, he teaches you the skills required for maintaining an organized home over the long term, tailored to you. He's trained with Marie Kondo and specializes in organizing for ADHD. He asks excellent questions in the decluttering process and has brilliant strategies for organization--I don't have ADHD but find that his methods work very well for my busy pace of life. I've developed a better understanding of why disorganization happens and how to address them and create systems as needed. All that to say, working with Keith is one of the best investments I've ever made. He's also a lovely person to spend an afternoon with, and always communicative, warm, and incredibly punctual. I'm so grateful to him and could not recommend his services more.

Our bedroom had a weird closet set up: one reach in closet and one tiny "walk-in" closet. They did a great job helping us make the most of our space and we've been able to store so much! More recently, we wanted to redo the closet in our guest bedroom as we prepare to turn it into a nursery. We asked if they could replicate the closet we had in our master bedroom, and they were able to do so easily. Both times they were able to get all of our parts quickly and were able to install within 2 weeks which was great. Installation was efficient too. We knew we didn't want plain white wood, so our consultant helped us pick a nice wood color that we could afford. Overall, I highly recommend The Tailored Closet to anyone!
