On May 18, 2024, my home caught on fire, luckily a neighbor spotted the flames and called the fire department. My insurance company recommended Servpro for the cleanup. After checking their Google reviews, I decided that I would work with them. Working with Servpro was an absolute nightmare. One of their technicians punched a hole in the floor of my tub/shower with a ladder and another used packaging tape to construct a plastic barrier to keep out fumes which resulted in paint being torn off two walls in my kitchen. Multiple members of Servpro's management team promised me that all the damage would be resolved to my satisfaction, but it wasn't. Servpro's first attempt at remedying the situation was to connect me with a company that could put a patch in my tub/shower at my expense. I promptly made it clear that I would not accept that offer. After getting my insurance agent involved, they decided they would pay a contractor to remedy the damage they had caused, but after seeing the initial estimate they backtracked. Servpro then offered me $1,500 (this was roughly 20% of what the initial estimate to remove and replace the shower had been) to remedy the damage. After some back and forth and making it quite clear that they weren't going any higher we settled on $2,000. There was one sticking point that I just couldn't get past. In order to receive any compensation for the damage to my home they demanded that I write a five-star Google review for them. Initially I agreed but I let them know of my displeasure. On the day I was to receive my check they presented me with a non-disparagement agreement and a non-disclosure agreement to sign. It was at that point that I told them I would rather share my story than lie for them. They of course did not see asking me to write a five-star review for them asking me to lie for them. When you see there multiple five-star reviews ask yourself how many of them were paid for.

As my items are gone and I can't get those back, he was willing to compensate me so that I could get those replaced.

We also love how many of the garden center staff are oh so knowledgeable about their section and the plants in it. We are regulars just for this area but also pick up bits and pieces from other departments. Finding help can be a bit hard at times so I try to go prepared by already having the items I need pulled up on my phone for reference. Isles can be packed due to pallets and merchandising that tends to cause access issues regarding traffic. Other than this issue, we usually have pleasant experiences at this location. Today we visited garden center (both inside & outside) and lighting. Everything was well organized and easy to find. We go out of our way to come to this location and always come back because of all the positives of the location and the people who make it all possible.

My husband and I purchased a piece of property to build on in Scottsboro, AL. We selected a custom…read morehome builder who provided all of our building supplies and subcontractors. It was a difficult process dealing with the builder after our project began. We encountered a problem with our custom kitchen cabinet installation. When they were installed it created a large gap between the lower cabinets and the framed wall that holds the refrigerator. The gap was large enough that caulk or silicone could not be used to solve the problem. The builder didn't agree that this was an issue for us. Food and liquid that spilled on the counter would go into this gap and could not be cleaned up. We asked for a side splash matching our countertop granite and the builder would not pay to solve the problem. I called the supplier, Granite Empire, to discuss our concern. I spoke with Lecindra and she was very helpful and understanding. She looked up our account, found the granite that matched and provided the side splash to solve our problem. I wish it had been this easy dealing with our builder. Granite Empire is a great company to work with. Wendy W.
