However, this provided an absolutely amazing experience for a recent bachelorette party. One of my dearest friends had her bachelorette here as she grew up in the area, and her sister (a total rockstar) had the foresight to book all of the rooms at the Hackett for our party. We stayed 2 girls to a room, and there were 5 rooms in all. There is a great common space where we did the bachelorette games...and such. The space was stocked with snacks, coffee, water, juice, milk, etc, and we brought a lot of our own stuff as well. It was just a lovely place, and it served our purposes perfectly. I don't know how well it would work with other people...as the common area creates an intimate setting, but it would be the perfect setting for a family reunion, a girls weekend, etc.

We had made reservations 2 months earlier, letting them know we would be about 8:30pm or so to get there from Akron/Canton area. Upon arrival... nothing but confusion with the owner,( that happens when your 3 sheets to the wind!!) He had no clue we had reserved 4 rooms and kept asking, how many? He called an employee to go and get a couple rooms ready for us 2 guys had to stay in the same room, really Charles?? He then offered us some drinks, we declined the offer because none of us drink! He then told us our stay was free because they had messed up! We did stay because we were tired from the day and the ride down plus the fact there is nothing else in the area. Next morning we waited on our free breakfast after 45 minutes of waiting the morning person told us the cook had not even come in yet at 9:15. We packed up and left, went elsewhere for Breakfast. I've stayed many times in the past with my wife and some friends on Fall Motorcyle trips, they have been remodeling forever. We are planning another trip this Summer and I am booking our stay 60miles from Well Inn, to bad I've enjoyed the area. So Long Wells Inn, Never Again!! Jerry

We are really happy with the service we received and the arrangement we purchased via Aletha's…read moreyesterday. My grandmother was admitted to Marietta Memorial unexpectedly and my mom recommended that I call Aletha's directly to arrange for some flowers to be delivered. When I called, I reached Heidi who was friendly, knowledable and a great listener - it was important to me that Heidi really took the time to communicate about the arrangement and the delivery process. She even offered to send me a picture of the arrangement prior to delivery. The act of sending flowers tends to be underscored by an emotional event - sometimes a joyous one, sometimes a sad one. To be able to to pick up the phone in California at noon and reach a kind, professional like Heidi who delivers a beautiful floral arrangement to the hospital within two or three hours is priceless. Grandma loves them. She's raving about how lovely they are and that brings all of us who care about her and wish we were there a tremendous amount of solace. Thanks, Aletha's! Thanks, Heidi! We look forward to talking to you again - next time for a more joyous occasion like Grandma's 88th birthday...

I live out of state and rely on the store staff to prepare beautiful gifts for me. This year I called and spoke to the sales person. I told her she had a significant budget to make something beautiful. I received a call from the person it was delivered to and they said "you did not get your money's worth." I called the store and the worker told me "I told you the plant I was sending was the last one." She was rude and unwilling to help make amends. She told me I needed to call the person I sent it to and apologize to them. I will not be using their services again.

The amenities were great, including a refrigerator/freezer combo, coffee maker, hair dryer, shampoo, and conditioner. The bathroom was spotless, well-lit, and had excellent water pressure with plenty of hot water. What stood out most was the cleanliness. The linens were fresh, the room was immaculate, and housekeeping deserves recognition for the outstanding job they do. The front desk clerk was also incredibly kind and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I honestly don't understand why this property has such a low star rating. Yes, it's an older motel, but it's obvious that the owners and staff take pride in maintaining it and providing a comfortable experience for their guests. We were very pleased with our stay and will definitely be back again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay in New Martinsville.

We had plenty of towels provided, along with Finesse brand toiletries. All linens were newer, no stains. Although there are many construction workers staying here, the place falls quiet (during weeknights anyway) at 8-9pm every night. We were both able to park right outside our door and it's conveniently across from a pharmacy/convenience store. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in New Martinsville.
