Just had my third haircut here. Eric is a true professional and did a fantastic job on my unruly hair. Very pleased.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Eric is hands-down the most caring, present, and consistent barber we've ever experienced. He doesn't just cut hair.... he creates confidence. The way he approaches each haircut is like watching an artist completely absorbed in their craft. You can see how much he loves what he does, and it shows in every detail. I've been bringing my son to Eric for a few years now, and despite living almost an hour away in NH, we happily make the drive to Tewksbury, MA because he is worth it every single time. I brought my 14 month old son for his first cut at Barba District and I couldn't be more pleased! I was nervous at first on how this would go, and if my son would sit still. Eric was so patient, even though my son did pretty good. My son was sold by the lollipop, which then distracted him from moving. This is a very nice clean barbershop with about eight chairs and they offer traditional straight edge shave and finishing. I was very happy with my haircut here. I wish I remember the barbers name she was a young girl very nice seem to know what she was doing. They also accept venmo and cash app payments which is nice and you can book online or by phone which is also nice because it is nice to be nice to the nice. read more

A convenient location and an immaculate shop with great brick 'n beam character inside. Update: 12/28/18 2 years later I still get my cut by Tone on a bi-weekly basis at his barber shop and as always I leave happy because he does such a great job! On Saturday 5/9, Tone lost a 4-YEAR Customer who would come in for 3 cuts/month ($75 in monthly revenues) due to greed and lack of basic business skills. Recently, Tone has implemented a rule that if you arrive more than 5 minutes late for an appointment, service is not provided and a fee of $10 is applied. On Saturday, I committed my first offense by arriving 8 minutes late. Upon my arrival, Tone informed me that he had already called someone else to come in to get a cut. Additionally, there was nothing he could do for me and I had to pay the $10 fine. I don't need to do this but below is a list of 3 simple alternatives for Tone: 1. Instead of calling someone else to take my place, you could've called me first to double check. It was my first offense. You could've slapped my wrist by saying that this is my first time and that you wouldn't do this again. 2. You could provide an additional 5 min. unofficial grace period. 3. You could've apologized to me by having had called someone else. You could've waived the fee and looked for a possibility to accommodate me on the same day. These alternatives are Business 101. It is easy to NOT TO VALUE your customers when times are good. When the "going gets tough," barbers with basic business skills will be the ones to succeed. Tone has a habit of telling his customers that "his time is valuable." I get what you are trying to say but this is a poor choice of words. All you need to focus on is CUSTOMER, CUSTOMER, and CUSTOMER. Due to recent acquisition of additional customers, Tone has raised the prices as well as his ego. Anyway, Tone did not care for a 4-YEAR customer and wanted to make a quick buck ($10 fee, which I paid as soon as he denied service...NO NEXT TIME for me). I have already found another barber in Lowell. In fact, when I visited another shop, I found a former customer of Tone. He also expressed his recent discontent with Tone's services. Definitely not one to complain when I get a haircut but I could not let this one get away.... I've been contemplating for weeks if I should post a review, but god damn I have too now. I can't speak about the other barbers in this establishment but the barber I got, Noy, the Asian one in the middle. Is absolutely not the go too guy!!! I asked for a medium skin fade combover and my man gave me a high fade skrillex special... like wtf guy what do you think a combover is, this was my first time trying some place new and damn I'm never going to another new barber again.. this is blasphemy. I don't wanna disrespect any of the barbers there but if this was the quality of one of the barbers I can only imagine the others work. He has appointments only, so without walk-ins it's a real plus knowing your cut is being done without the pressure of a waiting room. Ok. First visit today and they squeezed me in. Had Matt who was very friendly and asked what I wanted. All seemed fine. I wear glasses so took them off for the cut. Fast forward to when I got home. My "part" which has always been a thin clean shaved line was now about a 1/2 inch wide! What the hell. Way way too wide and not really fixable. Needless to say I won't go back. Tone is a mad scientist. After two cuts in four weeks it's a fact, there's no better barber in Mass. I'd challenge anyone to run their skills against his. I love that I can book online and make changes accordingly. Tone is busy enough to NOT work weekends, which is a great reflection of his priorities and that family comes first. Plus, only being able to book during the week forces me to leave the office early and saves me an hour on the weekends. Tone works in a relatively nondescript shop, but don't let looks fool you he's a man about his business.
