I was in Glasgow for work today and decided on a late lunch before I left town. I went in and sat at the bar. I was probably the only non-local in there. The bartender brought me a fresh order of Chips and Salsa and a tall Dos Equis Amber which I enjoyed while deciding on my lunch. For lunch I ordered the Lunch Burrito Azul Tequila. It came with Rice and Beans. The burrito had a great flavor. The beans were creamy and the rice was cooked perfect. Everything was paired perfectly. Ok here goes!!! After moving to Kentucky we were of course on the hunt for good Mexican food..... well we FOUND IT!! What a great dinner!! This is my go to Mexican restaurant from now on! They were so friendly and the food was Ahhhhmazing! Everytime I drive by they never look busy, and I wonder how because they are fantastic! Driving a truck there is hardly any good places we can stop to eat, thankfully we can stop to shop at some Walmarts and there is places like this aroThe staff was very courteous and kept checking on us. The food was delicious and well priced. The inside had the usual pictures and tables that you see in most every Mexican restaurant. So if you have read any of my reviews up to this point, you will know a true foodie is willing to drive for some good food. This is no different as Glasgow is about 45 minutes from home for me. But with the glowing recommendations of a friend who spoke so highly of not only the food but the margaritas, I was in desperate need of a margarita that particular day...so off we went. The drive is beautiful out that way and there are a lot of great restaurants that we will need to try that I took note of along the way. And once we arrived, I was surprised at the sheer size of the restaurant inside and the really pleasant and colorful decor. It's tough to get colorful without looking cheesy but they accomplished it. We were quickly brought to our table and given the most incredibly diverse menu I've probably ever seen at a Mexican restaurant. I will be completely honest in that Mexican American food is a cuisine I am not particularly fond of. I have been to Mexico twice in the last several years and really enjoy TRUE Mexican food... With all its fresh vegetables and fruits... which most of us can't appreciate here in the States at most Mexican restaurants, unfortunately. This menu had quite a few items that reminded me of things I would find on the menu in Mexico that we don't see so often here. Now I wish I could list all the great menu items that I saw, but once the margarita showed up, everything is a blur. Don't say I didn't warn you..m halfway through that margarita, you're going to swear you need an Uber or you better not be the driver on the way home. It's hard to balance that level of alcohol with truly good taste but they do it here. There is quite a variety of flavors of margaritas available...and I figure next time I go, I will have to actually SHARE a margarita with someone so that I can remember what the hell I ate. But I do know that the food was amazing and not the stereotypical fair you will find at Mexican restaurants in general. How do I know that, as goofy as I was post-Margarita? Only because someone else told me how I went on and on about the food.. Slightly slurred but obviously pleased. We will definitely make the drive again and I promise to remember what I ate and be able to talk about it specifically because I do remember looking at the menu and thinking of all the great things I have to try next time...sober! read more

Love this resturant!!! This is the only Mexican food in town that isnt over salted and cooked in a mass amount of fake white queso sauce! Their street tacos are amazing and authentic. Didn't expect to be as impressed by this place as we were. My wife got the veggie fajitas, I got the carne asada tacos. The food was delicious! I had their house special top shelf margarita... it wasn't my favorite margarita. However given it was only $6.50 I didn't complain. The service was fantastic, the decor was tasteful and the entire experience was more than we expected in terms of enjoyment. We will definitely go back if ever in town. read more

There are a ton of Mexican restaurants in Glasgow, and a new second El Maz right across the street from this place, which is in the shopping center in front of Walmart. This place sticks out from the rest for a few reasons. They are the only place that does table made out of this world guacamole and they are the only place that has authentic baja fish tacos. All of their seafood really does stand out. Their margaritas and tequila selection is also very good and they offer frequent specials. Don't miss this place if you are in the area and looking for better than your average Mexican. read more

When everything with your side dishes, meal and extras came to you wrong it's time to make changes. Visited here on 9/12/20 and everything was great. This was lunch on a Saturday. After working a long day on 9/16/20 my family and I go in for an evening meal. Right off the bat it went wrong. Our waitress had to wait on several customers at the register before taking our order. I asked for bowl of guacamole before we ordered and they bring me a $7 gigantic bowl of guac full of lemon and jalapeños. If I wanted this I would have asked for FRESH TABLE SIDE GUACAMOLE!! It was horrible and not to mention a huge over kill of an order (pictured below.) then to go with it I ordered flour tortilla chips, got them and they were burnt to a crisp. Returned them and they brought new ones out but they we under cooked and I just didn't say anymore. I ordered my meal with no lettuce (I love sour cream) got my meal and a fourth of the plate was covered in you got it lettuce but they HELD the sour cream. I was upset that everything I ordered was wrong so I just got up left my family to finish their meal and went to the car and next stop was McDonalds and for a change McDonald's actually got my order right. They did not offer my husband a refund or another order. The brought me a bowl of sour cream instead and the bill was over $50 with waters!! read more

We go to this wonderful restaurant almost every Sunday after church. The employees are so friendly. We get the very best service with friendly faces. The food is amazing! Especially the "made at your table" guacamole. Yum. We have learned some of their names, Oscar-who always greets us like family, Andrea and Ricardo.
