I visited Azle Vision Source recently and I just had to brag on all of the ladies up there! From the time I stepped in I felt welcome! Chelsea and Tammy were so sweet and quick to get me checked in for my appointment. Cheri got me taken back and ran through all of the regular checkups and test, she was very informative and friendly! Dr.Strong got my new script just right, and again was extremely kind! Alyssa then helped me pick out some cute new frames. She really knew her stuff by finding a variety of frames that looked great on me, ultimately finding some I fell in love with! I will be back, and will recommend all of my family and friends go here for all of their vision needs! read more

I had a very disappointing experience at Azle Vision Source. They overcharged me initially, and even after I paid the $20.55 difference (which wasn't much, but it's the principle), I was billed again a month later. That alone raised serious concerns about their billing practices. On top of that, the staff was rude and extremely pushy about trying to sell me contact lenses. When I told them I planned to purchase from Costco instead, they insisted they could "beat Costco's price" and even claimed they would pull up Costco's pricing to prove it. The price they showed me was completely inaccurate--Costco's actual price was about $350 cheaper. Overall, the experience felt dishonest, unprofessional, and uncomfortable. It's surprising to see this level of service in a smaller community like Azle. I would strongly recommend that others double-check their billing and pricing carefully and consider going elsewhere. read more

went to see this doc about a floater. took me through 5 different rooms in 30 minutes to check eye and result was your brain will get over floater in time. was charged $235 for this and doc REFUSED to give me a new prescription although she did me the exam and said that would be another visit (more $$$). Avoid this money scam place. There really are other docs who care and are professional. This is not that place. read more

The office manager Nichole is very unprofessional. My husband is a diabetic and went in for a routine eye exam, he was just there 2 months prior for a diabetic eye exam. They would not bill my eye insurance our for his exam (which is free) stating because he is diabetic it has to go through medical. I stated he got the same exam as I did. As I explained if it is a routine eye exam it should go though my eye insurance. If it's other than the routine exam (6 month diabetic check) then yes I can see going through medical. After going back and forth Nichole said yes it's all about the money and I could go see a Walmart eye doctor. That was it for me, I advised her we would not be coming back. I truly didn't have an issue with the doctors, they were fine. I will not deal with a company that just wants to take your money. read more

Saw Dr. last year and again this year. Have same problem, I can see better without my glasses than with them. Receptionist will not schedule another appointment. Says wear them for a week and my eyes will adjust. Really my eyes will go from seeing great to blurred. Just fiX the RX. just like you had to last year. read more

Eye Dr was amazing but billing is terrible and they didn't follow my instructions. They have not filed correct billing with the code that I gave them either. I questioned them about why I had to pay $77.00 and they said that's what I owed. However, my vision insurance covers the X-ray if they would file it correctly. I am filing a complaint with whomever I can because I believe they are not processing insurance correctly and may have received a duplicate payment. read more

Sent my fiancé there for glasses as a few friends had used them. She came back very upset as they were very unfriendly, gave her glasses that wouldn't work for her, and when it came to to make it right were of no help to resolve the issue. Turned out they lied to the insurance company saying She had already picked them up when she refused to take them. 1 star for unprofessionalism, 1 star for lack of customer service, 1 star for a wasted effort and time. I came with the idea I might be diabetics. We didn't know yet and had a appointment that Friday She say you need you eyes checked anyway and we did so . Got the prescription and she said I needed glasses so we proceeded ahead no knowing what diabetes does to your vision. Paid in the upwards of $700 total with the her services, just to let you know we have been going to her for over 8 years with 2 kids , wife and now me. Come to find out yes I'm diabetic and once on medicine my vision is just fine. My issue is she's the professional and should have said wait till you see your doctor and see if your vision corrected itself after taking meds Come to find out she all about $$$$$ nothing more ! Go to American best $100 you see the doctor with way more advance Technology and to top it off for that $100 you get 3 years worth of eye exams for that price Same price on contacts and cheeper on prescription lenses. I just wanted to start off that I was referred to this place by my previous vision doctor that I loved so much, not only that my dad also went to this place and I loved the service they gave him while I was with him. But some experiences aren't the same for most people. First of all, I called prior to setting my appointment and she was very sweet and said they were willing to work with my concerns. The staff are a little on the unprofessional side when it comes to working with patients. With that, their customer service lacks a whole lot. Dr. Strong is a great doctor and I enjoyed my exam with her and what she was able to suggest for me. The tools they use are updated and they are very thorough with the exams. However, for the vision manger Nicole she lacked the professionalism to talk to another grown adult without being condescending. She explained to me the disclaimers and what not more than once as if I did not understand. She barely let me spoke when I needed too and her thought process was not there. And when you speak to the receptionist the only time she is nice to you is when you have an issue and the tone of your voice changes. I have been nothing but nice and patient with them only to receive the lack of customer service from them. Going between my vision insurance and the vision office we had a few disputes on my benefits. And as someone who is called "Vision Manager" I would hope she'd help me understand my benefits and answer my questions. But instead they gave me a "I don't know." Along with that to make it clear for both of us I called my vision insurance to better understand my benefits and I reiterated to the vision office what I was told and what should be available. As the cardholder I understand my responsibilities of what I need to do and the things I need to understand. But as the "Professionals" I would think you would be able to help me double check this fact. Nicole wanted me to return my glasses until they can make the claim and the vision insurance accepts it, but in return I asked for the refund for my portion. She did not understand this part of wanting a refund. Well if you want me to return my glasses until next month then I should get my portion back until I come back, no? This part did not make sense to her. And after much going back and forth I said, you know what. Give me my refund, I want my prescription, cancel my next appointment I will be taking services elsewhere to an office that can better do their job and serve their patients. I have NEVER been an office with this much unprofessionalism. I can tell you the vision place in Walmart has so much better customer service than this place. read more

Very poor customer service. I obtained glasses there less than six months ago. The hinge just broke without an incident. When I took my glasses in today, I was shocked that they wanted to charge me close to $100 to replace the frames. When I expressed dismay and confusion, the store manager was condescending at best. She stated that my glasses broke because I removed them from my face incorrectly, that I had been offered a warranty and had declined, and worst of all, stated that I chose the cheapest frames and we all know that we get what we pay for. These are quotes ladies and gentlemen. Again, six months of removing my glasses from my face like the rest of the world does breaks them? I would highly recommend that you go elsewhere if you have the wherewithal. read more

I went in for an eye exam and glasses. Was diagnosed with pretty bad glaucoma. After the exam and picking out glasses I was sent immediately to a specialist for a laser procedure that afternoon. I asked if we should wait until my treatment started to order the glasses and was told that the prescription wouldn't change or affect my ability to see clearly with the new glasses. Guess what? My prescription did change, now I'm stuck with a pair of $588.00 glasses that are not only useless for anything other than driving but they constantly fall apart. My followup exam was rescheduled due to dr. being out of town, then they called and rescheduled again because of the threat of bad weather but they only gave me the date, no time. I called the day before the followup to confirm the time and they didn't even have me down for appt. They scheduled me in for this afternoon and when I called this morning to talk about the glasses being useless they said I still had not been added to the schedule. I was so frustrated I found a new Dr. who has rave reviews on yelp and google. I came on YELP and found that Azle Vision Source had many poor reviews for a lot of the same reasons. Totally unprofessional office. Reminds me of The Three Stooges," Calling Dr. Larry, calling Dr. Moe, calling Dr. Curley. The receptionist assured they would do something this morning to "make it right" about the $588.00 glasses that flat out suck! Six hours later and no phone call back.
