I want to start by saying we chose this pediatrician because of the great reviews. There have been…read morea handful of times my daughter has had a fever and the office does a good job getting us in quickly. I have had good experiences with Dr Davis, however Dr V is the reason for my negative experience and bad review. My daughter is 14 months old about two months ago I took her in for a fever. She was checked out and told it was an upper respiratory infection, just take Tylenol. That night her temperature got to 103.6 with Tylenol and we took her to the ER where we found out she had a double ear infection. One day of antibiotics and she was better. Two weeks ago she had a fever again and I told them she recently had the ear infections, maybe it was that? Again we were told by this pediatrician that she had an upper respiratory infection after they examined her at 9am. By 1pm she was inconsolable so I took her to Cooks Children's Urgent Care where they confirmed she had a double ear infection AGAIN. I called the clinic to notify them, two weeks later they have never called me back. Needless to say we will be changing pediatricians.

Within minutes I could tell the lady at the front desk wasn't thrilled to be at work. The nurse that called us back and took my child's measurements couldn't have been more cold and stand offish. Zero eye contact, zero small talk, zero interaction with my child (the patient!). Dr Hiatt was the only light I saw in that building. She was great with my child and seemed genuinely happy to be seeing us. The next nurse was just as uninterested as the other two gals in the office. Parents already have stress around taking their children to the doctors, the last thing we want is to feel unwanted and like an inconvenience. Customer service is beyond important, especially in the pediatric world.

Appalled at what I experienced! If this was any indication of how this practice is ran I feel for…read morethe people of Azle, Texas. Avoid this place especially if you are a Christian. This IS NOT a Godly place to be in. From the very start I should have known better and walked right out the front door. This office has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life. And I do not make that statement lightly. When I was greeted for my first visit it was almost like I was bothering the front desk. As a new patient that was bringing a family of 5 to the practice I would have expected to be treated decent. This was not the case. I told the front desk that I had Tricare insurance but since I was medically retired from Active Duty that I thought I had medicare too. Immediately the response was "if you have medicare we can't see you." And it was said rudely. What... is medicare for the lower-class? That's how I was made to feel. Yet, I brushed that off and let it go. When I sat down to wait one of the receptionists kept saying "Oh God!" and "Oh Jesus!" Like it was a verb. In all sincerity she seemed to end every sentence with one of those blasphemous sayings. As I say there It was said so much that I was about to leave. However they called my name so I figured I'd still give them a try as I always try to give businesses a fair chance. For the record, I was a new patient with a history of medical issues (my medical records are 4-inches thick). My initial consultation lasted (and I kid you not) about 4-minutes with the PA Matt (which is the only thing positive about this practice, he was nice yet.) It was just a couple questions and bam, had my prescriptions and was sent out the door. What made me write this review was what happened today. I called the office because I found out I can get my prescriptions filled for free on the military base (who wouldn't want to save $300)? When the receptionist Jennifer answered, I asked if I could get my prescription hand written which was previously faxed to the local pharmacy. Instead of a helpful welcome. I was questioned and insulted by her. She said, "why didn't you just tell the doctor you needed them hand written in the first place?" "Well your stuck because once we call them in its out of our hands." I was taken back by this. When does a secretary feel it's okay to question a patient? What I've learned is that some people have Customer Service. And others just have Customer "Pay Check". For surely they are not concerned with customer service. Just getting your money and sending you on your way. By the way I went into the office to pick up my prescriptions and Dr. Chambers showed zero interest in what I had experienced. He handed me the scripts and said "this is your last visit." He never asked what had occurred. This is a staggering warning sign when a doctor does not care enough to find out the facts. In my opinion, he doesn't care about his patients and this is obvious. I asked him if he realized how his staff is. His only remarks "We do just fine." Well then, glad I don't have a life-threatening medical issue. Who knows how I'd be treated. No thank you. I'll drive a little further and give my business to someone that actually cares for their patients. I've always been on the fence about leaving negative reviews. However, a man I highly respect once said "if you don't make it known, someone else may have to encounter what you did." And he's right, I hope that this practice one day realizes that it's about the bed side manner you provide to your patients. Not how quickly you can rush them through and file an insurance claim on them. If this is what the medical community is turning into, boy is this country in trouble when Obamacare goes into full swing ):

Dr. See has been very kind me and my kiddos. We recently moved to Texas and they were the closest. Guess I should have read the reviews. As a previous nurse in a pediatrics office asking for a simple refill (which we have already prescribed) should not have been handled the way it was. Their LVN is the reason I am leaving. And you know what else, reading the reviews and the fact that they are "dismissing patients from their practice" because of vaccines is absolutely horrific. No one should be forced to do anything with their children that they aren't comfortable with. My kids have had their vaccines, but I choose to space them out or skip flu/covid and it looks like whoever might be wary about vaccines is not welcome. Ridiculous and it shows all they want is money and don't care about the feelings or opinions of their patients and parents. Would never EVER go here again. I called a virtual doctor and they asked the correct questions, actually LISTENED to my answers and said "oh yeah no problem at all". That just proved my entire point. One person can ruin an office, and their LVN did it for me. Update: This is the next morning. They actually called the police for a well check, to see if my son was ok. Haha! What a joke. I emailed them the second I got the new prescription that we requested (albuterol) and to let the doctor know so they wouldn't worry. The police came to my house at 9:30PM and all of this happened at 3PM. One star is too many at this point. This is the corresponding messages for which the police were sent to my house about.

Thank the good Lord above that I did just that! As always, I read the reviews, and did some more looking. Everything led me back to Dr. Khan. The reviews, a few friends I spoke to, all lead us to believe Dr. Khan was great at listening and following through with his patients care. We when walked through the doors at the first appointment, I was so excited to see a very familiar face waiting to check us in. I knew God placed us here. The first visit Dr. Khan looked at our records and the few he had access to. He quickly started making a game plan and following up with the specialists and labs that were needed. He made the necessary phone calls, he sent the emails, he sent the information that was needing to be handled. He did all this while we sat there listening to him bring everyone on board and up to speed. He made sure we thoroughly understood every step that was going to happen. He explained all aspects of what had happened, what was going to happen, and what led us to this point. Dr. Khan literally took phone calls late at night from the specialists. He made sure everything was handled sooner rather than later. I just can't say enough about his professionalism, his thorough explanations, and his complete dedication to his patients. All in the first visit! He even followed up with a phone call to keep us updated. If you need a new PCP, do not hesitate to use Dr. Khan. His staff is top shelf and we are so thankful to have found them all. His office is now in Willow Park.
